Pretty Miwa is back!! This is the one of the most popular RPG game as well as Dragon Quest in Japan. When I went back to Japan last September, electric town Akihabara was all about FFXIII. Everywhere I went in japan, all shops had adds, preview showing, and employees of shops are screaming for pre-order. In fact, Japanese gamers expectation of this game is super high. OK, so!!, how did they feel or have they been feeling playing this game? About ranking this game from the god gamer magazine “Famitsu” is 9 out of 10. Everybody and every companies are related to games read this magazine. It’s rumor that if a game gets high score in Famitsu, the game makes tons of money, so many game companies give money under the table to get the good score. I don’t know this is a true story but as I see, Famitsu has big influence economy in this field. 9 means “wow!! Not 10??” Always its company gave 10 for this series. Why??? Ok most of gamer think that this is NOT for THE gamers for play game, much more cut scene than fighting which means you have to put down your controller on table most of the time. If you like watching cut scene more than holding controller, it’s good!! So, as a “Final Fantasy” story, 10 out of 10 BUT as a game 8 out of 10, thus Famitsu score is 9. There is only one way to go, so you don’t get lost (you have an arrow in a map) , no town to hung out, no changing armors…. etc.. no motivation to play compare to FFXII. You have to play 20hours to finish first chapter which is your got all members. Wow… 20hours.. that’s long time. Many gamers in Japan quit after chapter 1. Some people say that they are worried about FFXIV online game if XIII is like that, what is gonna be??? On the other hands, there some good side of it. The quality of the picture is wonderful. Characters details are amazing. Auto system is great etc.. Conclusion, most people played and have been playing FFXIII don’t like as a game, but really like as a FF story, because Japanese, men and women like love stories, period!! Even you are not Japanese but you wanna be Japanese but not enjoying playing game, try to understand what Japanese people like!! You could be close to them!!
