pretty miwa visited Plaza Capcom in Japan for Street Fighter gamers!

Capcom = Street Fighter  Capcom has 21 game centers in Japan.  The name is "Plaza Capcom"  One of them is made for Street Fighter fans. (only this center was authorized by city to have Plaza Capcom for Street Fighter ).

I went there when I visited my parents, because the SF Plaza Capcom was close to their house.  My first expression about this place was “WOW!!!”.  You wouldn’t miss this place!!  There are huge SF signs all over the building.  It was like museum,  when I enter… (you don’t see actual game machines yet).  The game center is consisted of 2 floors.

The first floor has some small rooms for fighting-background (how do you call that when you are playing SF, it shows different background pictures.. audiences, etc), TVs (showing SF fighting scenes), posters, character’s action figures’ show case, and Chun Lee’s actual size costume etc…

Take a escalator to go up.   Then, my second “WOW!!”… enormous place!! It’s like a casino in Vegas!!  Of course, there are also non-SF game machines.  I was surprised that there are many many different types of UFO-Catchers ( I don’t know how to call in English… the machines that catch toys and dolls….).  A information center of this place was awesome!! ( a picture below).  While I was taking pictures in this place, I  noticed that the garbage bins…  It’s made especially for this Plaza Capcom!!!  I think that  you can see this garbage bin is only in this place in the world!!  I laughed so hard!!  (picture blow).  And…I found SF tournament section in a corner of the floor.   There are 8 SF4 machines (this place is the biggest tournament game center in this region), tournament information board, movement cards (chi-chi cards??), hung out place for people who are waiting for the fights, etc.  The entry of tournament is about $3.50 per person for American dollar.  If you just want to play SF4, it is 50cents (regular price is a dollar).  There are SF1, 2, 3 machines, too!!!

I didn’t see people playing SF at that time, because it was early afternoon of a weekday.  I wanted to see Japanese gamers’ fights, but I picked a wrong time… oh well..

Overall,  even though I am not a gamer, I enjoyed this place.  I called this place in advance to just in case.  They said no video tapes or taking pictures, but I explained the situation about “gouki.com”, then a manager said taking pictures are fine.  When I got there, all staffs knew about my visit.  They were so nice!!  One of staffs gave me the “chi-chi cards”.  Thank you very much for the kindness.  I really had a good time.  This Plaza Capcom is must-go.  When you go to Japan, visit them and enjoy!!
