The movie was great. Is the game worth your 10 bucks?

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game attempts to be a nostalgic throw back to the final fight/river city ransom days of side scrolling beat-em-ups. Truth is, I'm not that nostalgic for those days. True, the graphics and sound effects are a neat touch, but the game play is just not that much fun. You can level up to get new moves and what not, but it's just not that engaging. I didn't get the same sense of humor that I got from the movie. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that a movie tie in game is bad, but I thought this would be different given the movie we're talking about has so many classic video game references in it. I'm glad this game was only 10 bucks, but I'd be even happier if I'd just downloaded the demo.

Verdict: Rent It. (in this case, download the demo)

Yeah I'm not even going to download the demo. The lack of Online co-op ruined this game before it even launched. Waste of time. Only girls come over to my house, they don't play video games. Waste of time this game is!

I played it! (in my best Bob Sagat voice) Terrible. I don't need play it again. It's too bad they didn't update the controls. Having to be on the same line as the enemy yo hit them just became annoying. Not fun.

A huge disappointment...just like the movie. I agree with Cinderkin on the co-op, considering it had all the green lights for an online game. I'll stick to TMNT arcade...at least thats an online option.

I dunno I actually really like the arcade game, it may not be for everyone but it's got that awesome nostalgic feel to it and the way the movements and stuff are it's kinda like the Simpsons arcade game, and I swear everyone likes that game. But it isn't the best but I'd say for people like me who enjoy playing 4 player with others who enjoy 8 bit, then it's a good buy.
