About: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (x)

Episode 8 in my weekly Final Fantasy XIV gathering show. At level 44, level 50 is closing in. Check out my strategies on maximum gathering time spent & my shortcuts to XP. Gouki.tv Exclusive!

At this point in the game I'm looking for every shortcut possible to speed up the gathering. Grinding out nodes is ridiculous & even after the update to XP a few weeks back, it's still the worst thing in the game to do. ESPECIALLY when you don't make any money & you are just wasting your time.

So check your Grand Company dailies & get double. Those will always sell on the MP & you won't be wasting your time if Raw Rubellite shows up 2 days in a row. If it's starred, it's worth DOUBLE on turn in.

You can watch the LIVE SHOW every Thursday at/around 1PM Pacific time on Gouki.tv

In this episode I show off my new level 35 gear & discuss tips on how to make gil at this level.

1 of my more important tips I've discovered recently is skipping the node that doesn't do anything. Ok, you know how there is a group of 4 nodes where ever you are gathering? 1 is +5% on HQ, 1 is +10% on Gathering, 1 does bonus gathering attempts & 1 is always blank. This is at level 38 btw. Skip the 1 that is blank. That way you can get the +5% bonus to HQ every 3 turns. Pro-tips.

Thanks for watching. Don't be a Jimmy!

How do you make money gathering? Here's a few tips on leveling optimally & making dat GIL at the same time.

Leves are a great way to gain some good XP on your way to your next level, but what if you're out of leves or you just want to save them for crafting? Get your daily Grand Company gathering missions done. Only turn in HQ items for a maximum bonus. How to make GIL with this method. Gather an extra group of 10 or 20 HQ items. Put them on the MB (in groups of 10 only) to sell it to the lazy gatherers that just want to turn it in real quick.

Take left over NQ items & put them on the MB for as cheap as possible. Most items sell back to vendors for only 1 GIL, so anything more than a GIL is worth it. Just get rid of that inventory. I for 1, don't have any room to hang on to NQ nubfarm items.

Final tip here is to always check the board to see what is selling high that day you plan to level. Check what area you're going to & what items are available. Make sure you get 99 of those during your gathering. With decent gear you should pull 30-40 HQ items you can sell too. Deals Jimmy!

Bottom line here, always check your Grand Company daily quests. Know what items are peaking on the Market Board & grab some of those. It's okay to get back a few levels too because you can get extra HQs & extra HQs mean extra GIL!

FFXIV The Wanderer's Palace Speedrun Videos

By: goukijones Oct 23, 2013 | 0 Comments

I've been wanting to learn how to speed run Wanderer's Palace in FFXIV. Mostly because I hate running these dungeons over & over at this point. So I figure if I can get 3-4 runs in 1 hour, I'll be thrilled! Check out these videos.

So this is JP. This is the first 1 I saw. Everything is pretty obvious here. Group them all up & drop bombs. Yesterday I saw another video, but it had a PLD leading as well. I asked around for a WAR speedrun & you can check that out below.

I definitely thing the Scholar works best with a Warrior right now. The Black Mage is great for AOE damage & the Warrior really needs a Bard to keep his TP up.

I am about to get my Relic +1 weapon & I'll be doing some serious practice on my speedruns. You can watch on the stream when I do & I'll post the video after I get a time I like. Shooting for under 15 mins for sure.

If you're on Malboro & want to team up, send me a message. Avitas Sibannac. Don't be a Jimmy!
