Prepare YOURSELF!

There is no video of me. There is only video of the new Halo. Behold.

This is not what I was expecting at all. Just a few minutes of actual gameplay and what they showed was not good at all. I don’t want to bitch, I definitely don’t want to bitch, but there was nothing, nothing in that trailer that had me in awe. No cool explosions like the Ratchet and Clank, no innovative new matchmaking or battle royal/big team battle gameplay mode. Just 117 shooting some grunts, elites, and brutes. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Finally, FFXIV getting a new patch 5.3 in August

By: BatRastered Jul 24 (14 days ago) | 1 Comments

August 11 has been a long time coming.

We've been stuck on the current patch of FFXIV for 5 months now (thanks, covid). Finally some more news about 5.3 is out and we have an official release date of August 11.

Patch 5.3, titled Reflections in Crystal, is scheduled to release on August 11th and is the ideal opportunity for new players to dive into FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida announced that alongside the streamlining of the main questline of the original game, A Realm Reborn™, players new to FINAL FANTASY XIV Online can enjoy an expanded free trial experience which will include all content from A Realm Reborn and the Heavensward™ expansion—including the entire Patch 3.x series—up to level 60. The freely playable content represents hundreds of hours of award-winning gameplay and story experiences and comes with no limit on playtime.

Additionally, all existing and future A Realm Reborn players will also have access to the complete Heavensward expansion and all the benefits it includes.

Patch 5.3 also features many trials and challenges for veteran players to enjoy, including the finale of the Shadowbringers™ storyline, the next chapter in the NieR-inspired YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse alliance raid series, and more.

Further details on content planned to launch in the Patch 5.3 series is outlined below:

Here's my favorite games from the E3 2020 Sony PlayStation Press Conference.

#10 Godfall™

Wow! What a bland and boring looking game. What happened to Gearbox? Did they just get lucky with Borderlands? I mean REALLY lucky. I can’t think of anything that worked out well for them. That Alien game, it was based on lies. The people were very pissed about that one and that game didn’t stand a chance when it went to market. That FPS LOL clone game came out around the same time as Overwatch right? And that didn’t survive either. I don’t know what to tell you about this game. I hate watching the trailer. Maybe we’ll see a better display of what this game is down the road. And here’s a pro-tip… Don’t use random music dubbed over your entire demo. We want to hear the sound effects.

The 2020 evolution of the PlayStation. Here is our first look at the PlayStation 5.

Rumored to be $700 and launch with a bunch of games that may not be a big deal to some. Like me. Don't listen to me. I play a lot of Caravan Stories right now and not a lot else. I recently installed Horizon Dawn and am about to give it a try for the very first time. Horizon Dawn 2 was shown during this press conference, so I figure I better be ready for that. The game always looked like fun.

The new PlayStation 5 will launch with a discless version, called the Digital Edition. This version of the console will be strictly for those of you who do not do physical copies at all. I'm a big fan of that style too. Owning a digital copy is easier to keep in your long term library. If you have to buy and keep old consoles just to play because you only have on disc, it does get harder if you don't have proper storage for them. So hopefully on PS5 I can download old PS4, PS3, etc. that I purchased digitally and they will just work. Am I dreaming? Have we come to that era?

Not gonna lie. I love this game.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is an updated and modernized version of Final Fantasy VII which was originally released January 31, 1997. 23 years later the story of Final Fantasy VII is still a great story to watch and even more fun to play. The characters are all very well defined and you can easily get the feels if you can’t control your emotions. Barrett - The big brutish leader of an Avalanche strike team(kinda like terrorists.) He is constantly goading Cloud with lines during fighting and after fighting. It’s not just Barrett though, Aerith also gives Cloud a hard time. In one sequence, while just running from one area to the next, Cloud explains to Aerith that she needs to stay back during fights because it is dangerous. It just so happened that Aerith died in the next fight after she got all of the agro and told Cloud after the fight “I guess they were just going after the stronger fighter.” Jeez. There are characters giving shit to Cloud and it is great, the characters are very much alive this way.

The graphics in this game are on a next level. FFVIIR goes from cutscenes right into combat seamlessly. This is a game that makes me feel like I’m playing the cutscenes of the original 1997 version. One level has you hanging from the rafters underneath a plate in Midgar. You are overlooking one of the sectors below. The slums. If I swing my camera around too fast to look over the edge, my wife will turn away. She can’t look, says she gets the feeling of extreme height. You can have your breath taken away by that view and a lot more of the scenery if you take your time and look at all of the detail. Everything is rendered perfectly to fit together.

Things keep looking better and better.

Here's the game not being so streamlined. I'm really hoping for a wide open gameplay, but the original had you on the straight and narrow while in Midgar. This game could be different though. I wasn't expecting to see Red XIII just yet, but I do figure this "First Disc" of the game will hopefully end with Aerith getting stabbed through the heart. Cloud is gonna be so pissed!

Hella Games Be Gettin’ Delayed In 2020

By: goukijones Jan 20, 2020 | 0 Comments

Info on 2020 Video Game Delays.

Cyberpunk 2077

Well the biggest delay for me was Cyberpunk 2077. This game was originally slated to come out in April. Not a long wait from the start of the new year right? April right? The month of the 4/20/2020. WRONG! Cyberpunk 2077 delayed until September... Might as well be next year at this point. JK, don’t do that.

2019 Gaming Was All About Shootin'em In The Face!!!

I’ve played some great games in 2019, but I’ve also played some shit ones. I’m still not sure if we are seeing NEW stuff in video games other than Death Stranding. I didn’t play Death Stranding, but I did watch a lot of people play it all the way through. Kojima has not ever really been my shit you know. Borderlands 3 is great and is one of my favorite games from this year. After playing through all of the other Borderlands games in 2019, I didn’t see much new video game innovation. Plus this is the first Borderlands game where I didn’t like any of the 4 vault hunters. Still, I think it is one of the best games of this year. GrrrtyGirl and I had the best time ever playing through all of the Borderlands.

Here is another game announced at the Game Awards that is available for testing soon. Head over to the site and sign up for the Alpha. Let's play together.

Almost like making fun of Fortnite at the beginning right? Nah, they wouldn't...

You can sign up for the Alpha here: 9 to 5 Alpha

This was one of the highlights for me from the 2019 Game Awards. I'm gonna check it out. Join me?

You can sign up for the beta here: Play Magic Legends.

I said I'd never play another MMO, but I'm addicted to Caravan Stories right now on PS4 and this trailer looks bad ass so... I'm gonna at least give the beta a try and see how it goes.

Time to hunt Big Daddies again?

This series features one of my favorite games of all time and one of my most hated games of all time. I love the original BioShock. To this day I don't believe there is another game that has you hunting down things to kill, like how you would hunt down a Big Daddy. I hate BioShock Infinite. Just when you thought you were going to get some next-gen Big Daddy or weird-big-hand-dude, Big Handy! The hunting aspect of the game was gone. Super boring and nothing memorable. Except how much I hated playing it. And I played all the way through. BioShock 2 is definitely better, but not as good as the original.

Here's to the New BioShock being a throw back to the classic, creepy, underwater game we played many, many years ago. Good luck, take your time and make a great game!
