I decided to start creating character builds because I see to many newbs online

So some of us was excited for Dead Island before release, No? Well I was and it turned out to be a pretty shitty game, that was before I looked at character builds that make this game actual fun.. Yes Dead Island is actually fun, can you imagine? 

So the last week I've been playing as the top hat sporting power house/rapper Sam B. Some people online have no idea how Sam should be played and opt for the machine gun approach, not in this build. About Goro: Goro's fighting style always revolved around taking advantage of his brute strength and surprising agility. In the early games. Goro was an imbalanced character. All of his moves did far more damage then all of the other characters and because of that he was notoriously difficult to defeat in the first game. In 3D games, he was toned down to make him more balanced. His current depiction is being powerful but slow. Goro is associated with the element of Fire. Like Kintaro, he could either project fireballs either from his mouth or his hands.

 About Kintaro: Like any other Shokan, Kintaro boasts brute strength, stamina and prowess. Unlike his brethren, Kintaro hails from a subspecies specializing in savagery. Combined with savage style of kombat and a mercilessness makes him one of the most lethal kombatants on the battle ground.

For a long time after his introduction, he was seen as one of the hardest bosses in all of the Mortal Kombat series. This was because he was able to grabl someone in mid-attack and throw him or her to the ground, usually followed by a teleport-stomp. He also shot up to three fireballs at a time. The extreme difficulty in defeating him was enough to provoke a comment from Video Games magazine, in their 1993 review of the home versions of MKII, that Kintaro was "the hardest fighting game boss ever...He doesn't just beat you; he kicks your ass."

About Shao Kahn: Shao Kahn is shown to be an immensely powerful being throughout the series. He is able to utilize magic and has superhuman strength. He is also able to charge at the opponent with considerable speed and power. In Mortal Kombat 9, Shao Kahn is by far, supreme and above Goro and Kintaro. Able to attack and grab even while being attacked. He also has incredible health along with up to par defenses.

Custom Figtsticks

A compilation of the many diverse custom built fightsticks of video games we have today.

Across my time of gaming, I've seen many fightsticks and places where fightsticks end up. So today I'd like to share some of the fightsticks I've seen as well as the many fightsticks I've known people to make. Let's take a look.

 

Akuma Fightstick: The last time I saw this fightstick, it was in the possesion of Momochi. A solid fightstick for any Akuma player.

 

360 Shape Fightstick: This unique fightstick uses the outside frame of a 360 with parts of a fightstick on the inside. Interesting.

 

Nike Box Fightstick. For the gamer looking to have a fightstick with a budget and still retain a bit of style, the Nike Box Fightstick makes for a hilarious yet efficient fight stick, parts are all fully functional and inside.

 

An exclusive, signed by Justin Wong,  fightstick. That day he was a bit shy to take the photo but was cool about it xD

 

Standard Ryu Fightstick: Ryu fans know this is the way to go if you're looking to represent with quality.

 

Cake Fightstick: That's right, it's a CAKE! XD I could not help but add this one because of how scrumptious and awseome this pic is. Fightstick+Cake=EPIC.

 

This is just a great pic of how you can start anyone at just about any age :D The next champion of EVO 2023! XD

 

Hoon Fightstick: The Hoon Fightstick was created to be the first "luxury" fightstick. While most would agree that it could have sported a better look, the fightstick sports osterich leather as well as Sanwa parts and is fully compatible for 360, PS3, and PC.

This one is a Left 4 Dead Fightstick xD Really? Awesomess.

 

Finally, I leave you with the most macked daddied out fightstick I've seen to date. CEO's Alex Jebailey's Fightstick. This stick is so personally customized, I have to give him props for it. The time itself for the image alone was somewhat long, but all the worth while to create a truly unique fightstick for the player himself. If anything, I would recommened anyone willing to go the distance to customize their fightstick to their own personal design and style. Enjoy.

Well I haven't played Halo in a week or so. You can thank most of that to Sim City. Hell I was even on the Halo Wars for a few hours last week. I'll be back on the Halo for sure in April when the Castle Map Pack is released.

I still love the Halo, don't get me wrong. I just love the Sim City a lot more right now, plus, I've been playing the Sim City since I was like 5 years old. I gotta check my Halo stats. >.>

Brink Review: A rant on a terrible game

For a game that promised so much innovation, we got a fairly basic shooter that doesn't have much going for it that hasn't been done before.

This is not a full review so if you don't know what Brink is about, check out our previous coverage of Brink. I'm also not going to talk about any technical troubles like graphical glitches or multiplayer lag. The first has been patched (on the 360) already, and Bethesda and Splash Damage are allegedly looking into the later.

Brink was supposed to revolutionize shooters with the SMART engine (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain). Easy joke: SMART is dumb. Ok, now that that's out of the way, SMART seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately it is not "smooth" in the least bit. If you hold the button down while standing next to an object, nothing happens, you have to back up and get a running start. It doesn't work well on "random" terrain either, certain objects will not be climbed or jumped over like the small robot vehicle you're taking cover behind. The running, jumping, mantling, and sliding felt so much better in Crysis 2 (which came out 2 months ago) that Brink already feels dated.

Worse, for a shooter, Brink's shooting just doesn't feel right. I'm not sure if I ever got a head shot. The guns didn't feel very different once you get beyond the gun type (shotguns felt different than assault rifles, but there are half a dozen different assault rifles and I couldn't tell the difference between them or worse between any AR and any SMG).

The party system for multiplayer doesn't even exist on the XBOX, it just uses your XBL party. I don't know how this works on PSN since the PSN is still down. There's no lobby system to set up the game before going in, the leader goes in and you join him. Everything about Brink felt like I was going backwards in game technology.

There are only 8 maps for multiplayer, and the levels are the same as the campaign. In the story, you just play with bots to fill in the empty slots. You can play either side for a total of 16 scenarios (plus 4 what-if missions). This obviously gets repetitive very quickly. For some reason, you don't get credit for beating the missions in multiplayer, so enjoy doing them again by yourself if you want the rewards. WTF? When you're playing multiplayer, pray you are on offense, because if you are on defense you will have to defend the objectives for 20 minutes. This is extremely tedious and leads to a lot of rage quits.

I was excited when I saw Brink had different classes (Soldier, Engineer, Medic, and Operative). I hoped it would be like Borderlands where each class was different. Unfortunately, these classes amount to little more than one specific ability. The classes don't feel different at all and you will often forget which one you are until you get to the objective and find out you are not the right class to complete the job and have to back track to the command post to switch your class. The different body types do make a difference, but you have to play a few hours before the light body type (the one that can do all the cool stuff you saw in the videos) becomes available. Sadly, Brink is just not worth your time.

TL;DR We've sent one copy back unopened and will be selling our other copies ASAP!

Bottom line: Flush it
