Here's something completely unexpected from E3 2019.
This game was certainly a surprise. Long have I waited and many have I tried, but none have compared to the classic Final Fantasy Tactics. I’ve played so many tactics games looking for the same feel as the original FFT, but I never found it. Final Fantasy Tactics on the Gameboy Advance we’re also good games, but not the exact same. Then during E3 The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics was shown.Read full story...

Mad Catz has released parts to change your FightStick so it is compatible for Mortal Kombat. The Top Panel includes a new button layout and new artwork. A separate bundle includes new buttons. Opening your FightStick will void your warranty.
MadCatz just announced the Combat FightStick Top Panel. Obviously there are some licensing issues, because MadCatz is really trying to tell you this panel is for use with Mortal Kombat, without actually saying Mortal Kombat. That's cool right? Check out the new lay out:Read full story...

I caught me a GOD-Liath Goon Jimmy. He drops better things than what are in his chest. Plus, did I mention he is hilarious? Mr. Satan 2012.
American Dragon Ball Z fans, yes! That is Mr. Satan you are hearing. That voice is hilarious. Listening to what the Goliath would say is what got me into hunting them. Here's what happened when I found a Loot Goon Goliath.
At the end I mistake the wrong class mod. What the GOD-liath Goon actually dropped was:
Impact Grenadier Class Mod: Commando
- Grenade Damage +28%
- Explosive Damage Resist +20%
- +3 Impact Skill
- +2 Steady Skill
- +2 Grenadier
I was a little excited when this all went down & didn't sort it right at the end. Like a Jimmy! Anyway. The part where he was stuck, is a little place where you can fall thru. I did that hoping he would follow & I could lead him toward more things to fight. He never dropped down, he just got stuck there. That's where the video starts with me walking back up to him.

One of the most talked about games at E3 2019.
Gearbox Software is such a great company with Borderlands. Borderlands has been one of my favorite franchises since the release almost 10 years ago. Speaking of almost ten years ago, how about a BRAND NEW Borderlands 2 DLC, a game released 7 years ago. An entire new adventure that links Borderlands 2 to Borderlands 3. Check out the trailer.
Now about Borderlands 3… It’s amazing! Everything looks like what you would expect from a AAA company releasing their flagship game at the end of a console cycle. Similar to how Borderlands 2 was released. Anyway… doesn’t matter. Borderlands 3 is already in contention for game of the year and it’s not even out yet!Read full story...
Mixed Emotions and mixed feelings is ALL Crysis 2 has to offer. One moment you're absolutely loving it and then you're saying out loud that you will never play again. Ametuers man. Poor matchmaking, terrible party system and unexplainable glitches.
You would think a publisher like EA would know how to put out a proper multiplayer experience right? They act like they don't give a shit. Crytek can only be responsible for so much. Although, Crytek could have definitely built a better party and matchmaking system. It's bad enough that a lot of these features are a copy of Call of Duty games, but to have the mulitplayer separate parties, boot players at random and straight up fatal error my Xbox is a little ridiculous. Where is the testing? What I want to see is more beta tests, longer beta tests if you're just going to let the community test it once it's released anyway. Where are the patches? The game has been out for a couple of weeks now and still nothing. The screen flips out when you zoom in at the beginning of a game on the map Liberty Island. Why is this? Can anybody explain this? At the beginning of that map, all of my team mates are reminding each other to zoom in and out a couple of times so it doesn't happen while you are in combat.
Crysis 2 Screen Glitch on Liberty Island
So that's a lot of the hate there, the matchmaking. The fact that I've been in the game for 32 hours and have actually only played in matchmaking 15 hours! Wow! That means, I've been in the menus for more than twice as long as I've actually played the game. Regardless of these issues, when you actually get into games and all of your friends are on the same team, the Crysis 2 is a lot of fun.
Crysis 2 has some of the best multiplayer maps in years. No other game comes to mind, when I really think about maps. Maybe Halo 2, but that's way old Jimmy. Liberty Island -the level I mention earlier with the glitch- is probably my favorite multiplayer map in years. The Liberty Island map is very well crafted. The two bases are spread perfectly apart, the medic tent site is great to sneak through, oh and the dead bodies laid out in body bags are hilarious when you are running over them. It got real bad real quick on this map and it is the best map in the game.
Ranking up in Crysis 2 and getting new perks is no different from what you've seen in the Call of Duty series. This is a straight up copy of COD. I'm not sure why they did it like this and I'm not saying it's bad, but I want to know why a completely different company couldn't have come up with something a little more original. Crytek is supposed to be this great game making company. And please don't say this is their first multiplayer game, that's not good enough. You can even prestige in Crysis 2, c'mon.
The last thing I want to do is start all over with my guns. I'm just now getting to level 30 and starting to like how I can build my custom classes. Early on in multiplayer, when you have no guns and no perks, you're getting railed constantly and it is ZERO fun. This was always one of my major issues with COD. You really have to put time in to Crysis 2 if you want to get to the fun stuff in the multiplayer. Look at me, it only took 32 hours of it actually being on for me to start enjoying it.
I wrote everything above a few days ago. I've continued to play the Crysis 2 and my emotions continued to rise and fall. Until finally last night. I'm terrible at the death match and they may be my fault. I'm good during flag matches and enjoy that much more. It's bad enough to lose a few matches in a row or feel like your constantly getting railed in the ass and there is nothing you can do about it. But then when it kicks you out of games or Migrates Host and ends up putting your party into to separate games and you don't even realize until you team starts talking about two different maps. Last night I vowed to never put the Crysis 2 back into my Console.
Flush it! Just like when you Jimmys try to get all Greg Luoganis and swim around the levels where you can't pull your gun out. Crysis 2 is Dead in the Water.

You get a good taste of Death Stranding gameplay with this 8 minute trailer.
I was impressed with the climbing and scaling of the mountains. The terrain looks very detailed. I hope it requires strategy and skill to move around in the world. In this trailer you get to see what the combat looks like as well. I got an Outward type of feeling as I was watching it. The main character jumps on the bike and speeds off, you can see the enemies getting in their vehicle attempting to cut him off. I'm very excited to see if those are the actual mechanics of the enemies as they hunt you down. When he drops part of his backpack he then goes back to collect it which is very cool. I can't wait to see this game fully running. I'm cheering for Kojima to just bury the competition, out on his own with this new studio.
Here's a quick guide on what you could be wearing as a level 35 gathering aka DoL in Final Fantasy XIV. Including total mats & shards.

Two full days of experience and ranking up. Also, tons of walking around aimlessly. What have I learned from the beta so far?
Sqaure-Enix launched the Final Fantasy XIV beta early this week and it was a pain in the ass to get in. Apparently, from my understanding, Square-Enix opened up the beta with like 10 different servers. Those servers filled up faster than FNJimmy trying to solve any random puzzle in Darksiders. I had no chance that first day. I didn’t even really understand how and what was happening with trying get into the beta. I think the problem here is that the Square-Enix website is all done in Japanese and then translated straight over into English. The site is crazy backwards sometimes. Also I feel like I’m logging in a 100 times. Two days later, I did get a code and I was in.
With the beta you can create and play with as many different characters as you want. Actually I don’t know if that’s true, what I do know is that I have made 4 different characters. The first character I made was how I imagined I wanted him before I got the chance to play. I chose Disciple of the hand, Alchemist. I had no idea that with this selection I would have no weapon and my main attack would be “throw stone.” Thank god this is a trial run. At this point I tried to learn about the settings, moving around with a keyboard and getting familiar with the controls. I did a few quests, the levequest stuff is cool. So after playing for sometime and only doing 1 hit point of damage, I knew something was wrong and started my second character.
Disciple of war, Archer. Now I’m railin’ right out of the box. Gone are the days of gathering stones to throw at Nutbiters and here we go with 40+ hit point, crushing arrow blows to your dome. So now I got some combat under my belt for reals this time. I realize I just needed a little money and I could go buy any weapon I want. Once I buy a new weapon I can change my class. Buy a polearm, become a lancer. Buy a sword, become a gladiator. This also works with the crafting. Buy a sledgehammer, become a goldsmith. So yeah, you can start the game as any class you want. Now I can get my alchemist and get him a wand so he can start casting some magic.
Before I switch back to my original character I created. I made another character and started him in a different city. I chose for this Jimmy to be a Thaumaturge. Yea, I know the names of the classes are a little ridiculous in FF14. Thaumaturge means black mage in normal talk. I also picked a human male this time. Previously I had chosen the little Lalafell Jimmy and an Elf. My human mage started with high and equal HP/MP. Cool. He also dealt major solo damage. I didn’t want to play has a mage in this game, but I may level it secondary.
So now I think I understand the leveling, the controls and the questing. I start a third character, with a class I wouldn’t usually choose and in the third and final city. Disciple of war, Lancer. This city Ul’dah, is a city of bricks. One of the regrets I had in Final Fantasy XI was I chose the “castle city” in that game and I felt like I was in prison. So I don’t like Ul’dah in Final Fantasy XIV and I won’t choose this city. That’s official. I took my lancer out and killed a few things, got some gil. Final Fantasy money for you nuabs. Went back to town and bought myself a pick axe. Time to learn about mining. Got a levequest and took off out the front door. It took me a while to find the mining spots. Eventually I and it was there I discovered the mining mini-game. I couldn’t find any technique to swinging the pick axe other than to just keep whacking away at at the stone. I’m sure there is some trick to it.
Back to my original character. I got tons of money from stumbling around town doing quests. Got some money from being in parties earlier throwing rocks at Star Marmots out in the wild. Searched the town high and low looking for the Jimmy who had the magic wands for sale. Bought a bow and some arrows too. I already have my alchemy tools. Which I couldn’t figure out how to do shit for crafting. Fuck it. Lets kill something. Used the bow and arrows, killed a bunch of wild beasts(actually cute little furry things.) Leveled my Archer to rank 5 in no time. Now I’m starting to feel the leveling addiction. Wait what this? I just switch my bow and arrow to my magic wand and now I’m a Thaumaturge. WOW! Now I’m hurling magic balls across the grassy knolls. We are rollin’. By the way in FF14 the mages can throw magic “balls.” It’s a regular attack and uses NO mp. Cool stuff. Leveled my Thaumaturge to level 4.
The time has come for me to log back in. What will I do next? Trial and errors continues. Get ready for the Final Fantasy XIV release. Play it early if you get the Collector’s Edition. Don’t be a Jimmy. Join the Gouki Guild.

GoukiJones & ZeroUK take Mining & Botany from level 20 to 22 in a matter of hours. They act like 2 Jimmys the entire time as well.
Every week Thursday 1PM you can meet up with Zero & I for our weekly gathering & crafting show on Gouki.tv. Here's this weeks episode. (Twitch wasn't uploading the previous 2 sorry. Most people should be able to handle level 1-15.)
I think the most important thing to make gathering go fast is having the maxest gear possible. It's not all about HQs -they help- but what's even worse is just missing. Every miss is time lost. So my gear is maxed out & I try to jam as much Materia into it as possible.
If you're interested in joining up with us, you gotta be on Malboro. Hit me up & I'll invite you to the Gouki Linkshell.

Fuckin' a!!! I'm going!
C'mon ... I'm not gonna miss this. This is great for Miami and I will definitely support it. 3 days of tournaments and games and Jimmys with fight sticks. Infinite Bits is going to feature an interactive video game museum. Classic arcade machines will be available. Panels with industry experts. (Am I hosting a panel? It'd have to be 18+ and over with an open bar). Live music from video game bands. A costume contest for the super video game nerds. Stand-up comics and live shows.
I can not wait for this. I hope it does very well and this is the first of many to come.
Visit their website and sign up for a 3-day pass your frickin' noob!

Weekly training sessions for Las Vegas Street Fighter IV players focused on getting better. If you plan to compete at EVO, this is a place to be. If you can deal with MNO's bullshit & dat WHITE RAGE!
From the Facebook of the Las Vegas Fukkaboi Gang©:
Starting next Friday (Nov 1) I'll be hosting a weekly Street Fighter 4 focused gathering at my house 6PM-1AM. The initial goal of the sessions will be to train up anyone who is seriously interested in traveling for the upcoming Evo season. I have some space for BYOC if people want to play other games, but know that they will not be the priority. There is a stream, and eventually there will be a Ranbat/Rankings/Small weekly tournament of some sorts for the first hour or two of the meetup. For now I'd like to keep it to casuals to gauge interest.
The sessions will be focused on SF4 as the main game, but will also utilize older versions of SF to help anyone who wants to improve their overall game. Currently I have 1 PS3 and 2 Xbox AE setups, and head to head cabs for ST/Alpha/etc.
If you are interested please send me a Facebook message and I'll give you the address. It's in the same area as Gemini, so if you could make Friday nights at Gem you can make it here.Read full story...
