This may not look all that cool after watching the new Battlefield trailer, but I did have a good time with this demo the first time around.
You gotta appreciate the idea of a second demo to give us a taste of another map and some improvements made to the game after the first go around. Too bad I'm nowhere near an Xbox or you Jimmys would be getting railed right now!
Crysis 2 | Demo Trailer - PART II
Available now for both PC and Xbox 360, you can team up online to Be The Weapon with the Crysis 2 Multiplayer demo. Including 2 intense game modes with a new map, multiple classes, and an array of weapons -- this is a good taste of things to come when the game launches on 25th March.

This is a video I caught of some Jimmy doing some crazy jumping and murdering. Haxor or glitch? You decide.

Crysis 2 6 on 6 multiplayer demo is dropping in on the 25th of Jan, same day as the Bulletstorm demo. Check out the new trailer!
Crysis 2 is looking bad ass. Some of the sweetest multiplayer changes I've seen to date. Sliding into cars and knocking them over for cover, climbing over obstacles to slam down on enemies. Ok so maybe it's been done before, but Crysis 2 makes it look damn good.
After watching the trailer I'm stoked to get my hands on this demo. Looks like a lot of fun. According to a recent press release, the Crysis 2 MP demo will include the "Skyline" map, and two game modes: "Team Instant Action" - AKA Team Deathmatch - and "Crash Site" - AKA Crysis 2's take on territories

Crysis 2 looks amazing... on the PC anyway.
We got to see a demo of Crysis 2 in the EA booth at this year's E3.
I'll tell you what, it looked VERY pretty. You've never seen a game that looked this good. Unfortunately this was running on a PC. I'm not sure of the specs they had, but given the 80 inch plasma in front of the room, and the fact that they wanted to show off this game, I'll assume it's better equipped than mine. Even given that, there were a few points in the demo where the frame rate dropped noticeably. I worry about how this game will turn out on the PS3 and XBOX 360.
It looked to me as the whole city was rendered in real time with lots of pieces, as a whole building comes down and it's not a cinematic cut scene. If you could buy two XBOXes with the money you spent on your video card, you need this game to justify your purchase. Otherwise, I'd wait and see how the console versions turn out.
It also looked to me as if the jimmy running this demo was in god mode, because he was getting pwnd but not dying. Hmmm... conspiracy!

After the success of the first Crysis 2 multiplayer demo, the guys over at Crytek have decided to release another one.
1.7 million players downloaded the previous multiplayer demo on Xbox 360, which released last month, in which time Crytek has honed the experience based upon player feedback. The new Crysis 2 multiplayer demo will feature two maps - 'Skyline' and 'Pier 17' - alongside 'Team Instant Action' and 'Crash Site' modes.
In the full version of Crysis 2's multiplayer it will include six gameplay modes - Instant Action, Team Instant Action, Crash Site, Capture the Relay, Extraction and Assault - with a total of 12 maps, set in and around the game's rendition of the Big Apple.
Crysis 2 will be available March 22nd, so be sure to preorder your copy now. Tell us what you think in the comments. Don't be a Jimmy!

Check out this new video from Gamescon 2010 of the Crysis 2 multiplayer in action. Hopefully, your computer doesn't implode.
This game is incredible. We all know we need more high quality FPS that barely run on our PC's. Crysis 2, for those of you who can't keep up with the plethora of FPS games coming out constantly. Crysis 2 is game developed by Crytek and published by EA. Back at E3 inside a giant ice box watching the first Crysis 2 demo BatRastered was amazed. Now we get to see what the multiplayer looks like.
Water running off the sides of building, sand and smoke all over the place. Gun fire echoing from every direction and you can see buildings as far away as possible. Jump from building to building down on to some unsuspecting nuab and crush him. Frickin' bullet time man! This Crysis 2 is going to be out of control. Me personally, I'll probably still be playing Reach or Brink.
12 New York City locations.
80 Ranks. Prestige that MW.
60 Almost certainly bad ass Nano suit upgrades.
FnJimmy here to review Crysis 2. I'll walk you through some of the early levels with an in depth look at the gameplay and story of Crysis 2. Thanks for watching and please leave some comments.

Electronics Arts will be bringing out the big guns in 2011 with huge sequels. All of these multiplatform games are sure to translate into huge sales. Dragon Age and Mass Effect are both Gouki.com editor's choice. Here's a look at some more EA 2011 games.
Electronic Arts 2011 Preview
Dead Space 2 - I missed out on the Dead Space 1. FNJimmy will be reviewing Dead Space 2. It looks like a Jimmy ass game.
Dragon Age II - Thrilled about another Dragon Age adventure Jimmy. One of my favorite combat systems of all time. A lot of people don't like it, well then FUACK YUU!
Crysis 2 - Wow. What can I say. This is supposed to be the most mind blowing game ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This game was demo'd right in front of me at E3 2010. The room was cold as hell. There were 27 PC's trying to run this demo. Afterward my mind was blown.
Mass Effect 3 - Super excited for another Mass Effect adventure. I'm really hoping that ME3 stays more like part 2 mixed with a little more of Part 1. We don't need it reinventing itself again. Bring back the Mako!
SSX Deadly Descents - Some Jimmys are thrilled about this. Me, not so much.Read full story...

Crysis 2 barely ran on the PC during the E3 tech demo ... not surprising it won't be coming out until next year now.
Crysis 2 official release date is now March 22, 2011. Now some Jimmy ass Websites are saying March 25, but that doesn't make sense.
I'm not really surprised with this news. During the E3 preview we were inside one of those Russian ice bar things, where they only serve vodka. This was to keep the PC that was actually running the game, cool. This didn't work, it still lagged a little during the demo. You can see exactly what we saw in the video below.
This is a video of pretty much, just a recap video of what happened at E3 2010.
You can read BatRastered mind blowing recollection on the demo. Crysis 2 will blow you away!
A decent length campaign with some truly awesome moments is marred by some terrible AI.
Crysis 2 has an interesting campaign, if you can get past the bordom of the first few levels, that is. I spent about 14 hours in the campaign, that's a pretty good length by today's standards. Certainly, you're not getting cheated like Modern Warfare 2's ridiculously short story. The story takes place on a Manhattan island that has been devistated by a plague. Little do they know, that this disaster was casued by aliens.
While I had a great time in the later levels fighting against the "Ceph" aliens, the game starts you off fighting against a private military corporation known as the "Cell". I guess they were in charge of evacuating the city or something, but I was never really sure as to why they wanted to kill me. I mean, I'm trying to save the world! I guess somebody wanted my suit? Whatever. Fighting the Cell is 50% boring and 50% terrible, glitchy AI. If they catch a glimpse of you, they start shooting, but if you're far enough away when this happens, you can just cloak and they often go back to doing what they were doing as if nothing happened. Reall good security force there, Jimmy! The dialouge they spew is equally buggy. Once, I stealth killed a Cell soldier, and one of his buddies heard it and went to investigate. I cloaked and waited for him to show up. Upon standing over his friend's corpse, he quips "must've been a false alarm." Huh?
Once the Ceph start to show up, you're in for some real action. They jump off walls and up onto roof tops to flank you and, of course, take more that a bullet or two to bring down. Unfortunately, I was a good 5 hours into the game before the good stuff happened. In fact, the demo level we saw at E3 2010 was from the second to last level of the game. Really? Really! Still, fighting a walking alien tank while being hounded by many Ceph ground troops is a lot of fun and a good challenge. Interestingly, after wiping out a large chunk of the Ceph offensive, I'm back fighting Cell again, trying to rescue someone from them and they're hell-bent on killing me again... as if I didn't just save all their asses... Yeah, the story is a little convoluted.
The graphics and sound of Crysis 2 are top-notch. I played on an XBOX 360 (in HD, but not 3D) and thought the game looked spectacular. Even better considering I didn't have to install anything to get up and running. Just pop in the disk and go. The draw distance in Crysis 2 is really incredible, which allows the sniper rifle to be very useful in many situations. The orchestral musical score, while not quite Halo standards for me, was quite good and added to the overall experience. The suit itself talks to you, telling you when you cloak or armor are turned on. This is ok at first, but it gets tiresome since those modes consume energy, you can't just leave them on which means you end up hearing that a lot. The controls are typical for a console FPS, with the addition of the shoulder buttons controlling your armor and cloak abilities and never got in the way of the action, although sometimes when close to an object I couldn't jump the way I wanted to. For some reason, the game continues to tell you how to crawl under things even towards the end of the game, I found no way to turn the hints off.
I didn't play much of the multi-player, though what I did see felt a lot like CoD style, which I hate. See goukijones' MP review later. The campaign itself has no real reason to go back and do it again. In fact, it feels a bit like Halo 2, giving you that "hey we're working on part 3" moment at the end.
- An FPS with a campaign that actually lasts more than one play session.
- Interesting fights with the alien "Ceph".
- The nano-suit is great and makes you feel like a badass.
- Upgrading the suit and swapping weapon parts (scopes, silencers, etc) doesn't pause the game or take you out of the environment at all.
- Most of the story is told in the game engine without taking you out of first-person.
- Controls are spot-on. Shooting feels right.
- Looks great. Sounds great.
- Multi-player feels like CoD. You have to rank up to get better guns, which is hard when people you play against already have them.
- Fights against human "Cell" group are boring, plagued by terrible AI and audio bugs, and just don't make sense.
- Enemy path finding is often broken, leaving bad guys stuck between objects or facing a wall.
- Too much hand-holding by the game. Press B to crouch is useful in level one, just plain annoying in level 18.
- The suit won't shut up. I hope you like hearing "cloak engaged", or "maximum armor", or "nano vision enabled", because you'll hear it a lot.
- No replay value to the campaign.
If you're into the CoD style multiplayer, you might enjoy the overall experience of this game more than I did.
Overall: Rent it
What the hell happened here? That is not my gamertag. How is this even possible. Then the game freaks out and kicks everyone. Vintage Crysis 2.
Don't be a Jimmy, this game is Nubfarm. Although Crysis 2 is waaaay better than Brink.
