The biggest news for the PlayStation 3 since uhhhhh errrrr .... What does the Playstation do?
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is my favorite Playstation 3 game. I was shocked by the gameplay, played all the way through and beat it. I want to play it again. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is one of the best games of all time.
Now today on the eve of the 2010 VGA's, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception has been announced, with box art, a trailer and a super possible bogus release date of December 1, 2011. Which is a Thursday. I highly doubt that date and it's a perfect set up for a delay. This could all be just for some VGA bullshit.
At least there is this official announcement for the game.
Enjoy the teaser. Please share your comments below. Thanks for reading.
Drake's 3 is one of the games I want to play most from E3 2011. That's kind of a no brainer, even with it's cheesey one liners & odd voice acting. Why is it Drake is the only that sounds like he is actually alive & not just waiting to read his next line
Afer the Sony Press Conference I got to play a little bit of the Multiplayer and it's pretty sweet. What I really want to do is sit back and enjoy the campiagn though. I just recently played through both Uncharted's again and even after that I couldn't get my controller setting right and I was looking like a nuab playing at the Sony Press Conference. WTF is an X and Y axis?! Just do Inverted On or Off.

Henning and Wells speak
Down at GameInformer they got a pretty big interview with Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells and creative director Amy Hennig . Extremely informative, lots of info here containing how they got ideas for things, how they made stuff work, software, and what is install for the future. Good seeing interviews like this opposed to the 3 sentence ones we see so frequently with Capcom representatives and shit. Some stuff from interview, glad they aren't thinking of incorperating the Move, screw that crap, possible xbox or PSP port? Said the game wasn't really married to a system, but currently they are focused on PS3, and that they ARE taking the feedback for multi-player and working on DLC ideas is great to hear. Enjoy guys.Read full story...

Uncharted 3 Multiplayer has some very unique features, like nothing in any other game to date. Once again NaughtyDog may revolutionize gaming. Also a How To get in the exclusive Beta in June.
Let the groin kicking begin. Sony and Naughty Dog have released a ton of new information for Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception today. It's all about the Multiplayer. A little background here, I played the multiplayer for Uncharted 2, twice and didn't like one second of it. It seemed like something just put together real quick, so they could say they had a multiplayer. This goes in line with other games that have added multiplayer, even though the game didn't need it all, the Nubs demanded it. Bioshock 2 is a classic example of a game that didn't need multiplayer.
Uncharted 3 wants to show you something completely different.
UNCHARTED 3: Drake's Deception- Multiplayer Trailer
Bonus for the music selection. Great song for a great video. Not enough sound from the game is the only issue here. But I'm sure it sounds great. There's ton of explosions and a lot of action on screen, something the PS3 does so well. It's unfortunate very few developers know what to do with the PlayStation. Some of the new Uncharted 2 deatures like the Medal Perks sound like a cool idea:
You have to option to select a specific Medal Kickback, which activates when you’ve racked up the required number of Medals for that specific Kickback. You can see this in the Multiplayer Trailer when the RPG Kickback is activated at 00:50 into the video. You’re taking a little chance when you select these, as some really choice Kickbacks require you to get a significant number of Medals before you can activate them.
So with your typical loadout selection, main weapon, side arm, perks and bonuses, you will also select something for medal kickbacks. The cooler the shit, the more medals you gotta collect. The vertical levels of Uncharted seem to be way more invloved with this multiplayer version, you can see in a few clips, Jimmys getting grabbed and thrown off buildings. It's gonna be sweet if it's a smooth motion of climbing and running. Hardcore Parkour Jimmy! No game has successfully done that yet. We're all waiting to see what happens with Brink, because Crysis 2 Multiplayer sucks.
Some of the game types seemed to be outside of the box. Some of the map desgin is certainly something you've never seen before. Power Plays change the end of the game and sudden death in Uncharted 2 is one of the most exciting things from all of the news today.
If matches are too close to call as they get close to the end, Overtime will activate, giving either time an opportunity to win the match by more than one point within a limited time. If the game is still too close to call, the match enters Sudden Death. Sudden Death is similar to Elimination – there are no respawns and the last player standing wins the match for their team.
That sounds awesome right? A winner will be decided by the last man standing. I wish other games had done this. As far map design, on the airstrip, one team starts on a plane going down the runway and the other team starts on a bunch of trucks chasing after the plane, you can see that in the video too and it is just bananas.
Now lemme go back and talk about the games types. I've watched this trailer like 4 times now and yes, the song is a quite addicting, but I really wanna test this game out too. Three team deathmatch, vintage Halo Multi-teamesque, but 2v2v2. Free for all, which is classic FFA. These two game types will be available on the beta. More info on game types and other features for Uncharted 3 (Including the sad face social networking experience) will be released at a later date.
Want to play the Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception multiplayer beta? There's only two ways to get in as of right now. Be a member of Playstation Plus and get early access to the beta or purchase a copy of Infamous 2. The beta starts on begins WORLDWIDE on June 28, 2011.

A new video from NuaghtyDog shows off a new character, Katherine Marlowe. She's old as hell and it shows.
Even the bullshit is looking pretty sweet in the new Uncharted 3. What did you expect? But Uncharted 2 is my favorite game of ALL TIME on the PS3. So I'm super stoked for this new game. Stay focused on what was good in Uncharted 2 and please down reh-tard up the game and spend time on a mulitplayer on very few Jimmys care about.

Time to see what cool bonuses you get for pre-ordering the highly awaited Uncharted 3! Also info on the collectors edition.
Everyone game has pre-order deals from several places and expensive Collector Editions. Being one of PS3's most hyped exclusives, Uncharted 3 is not left out.
As you see above, you get a working Traveling Chest replica, that holds everything within the Collectors Edition. That is a stee-lbook case with the ring on it that holds the game, a full-size replica of Drake's belt and necklace (with Sir Frances Drake's Ring) and a statue of Nathan Drake. This will ocst you $99.99 Here are the pre-order bonuses from a few retailers:
GAMESTOP: Creepy Crawler Kickback.
When you score a certain amount of medals you can turn into a swarm of deadly creatures to overwhelm your opponents as long as you’ve got time left on the Kickback countdown timer. Looks like something from the mummy, godlike!
BestBuy: Regeneration Booster Unlocked Early: Speeds up healing in multiplayer.
Amazon: 1 Kickback and 2 Weapon mods
Amazon going bro-status with 3 items when you pre-order. The Carpet Bomb Kickback lets you throw out three grenades with one throw! The two gun mods allow you to increase the clip size of the guns.
Wal-Mart: Laser Sight and Weapon Mod
You get Callout Weapon Mod, which allows you to equip the AK-47 with laser sight that allows your ENTIRE TEAM to see the location of the target you are targeting. Insane?
Other places including Target, Buy.com and JR.com will award you with exclusive Uncharted 3 PSN avatar and XMB theme for pre-orders.
How does all of that sound? Out of all the pre-order deals which ones are most appealing to you? The Laser sight allowing the entire team to see an enemy from Wal-mart is CRAZY. Also the Creepy Crawler from Gamestop seems the most fun and visually scary, not sure how game-breaking it is though. It is interesting being in this era of gaming where Collectors Editions have become so popular with figurines and steel cases. Don't be a jimmy, let us know what you think.

Overall, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is a good game with some minor flaws and gameplay that feels a bit dated. Its biggest problem is that it just doesn’t feel like an improvement over its predecessor.
Poor Nathan Drake, first he lost the Gouki.com GOTY to Batman Arkham Asylum in 2009, this year he’s up against Arkham City. Challenges of timing aside, Drake has another problem. While I can definitely state that Arkham City is an improvement over the already excellent Arkham Asylum, Uncharted 3 just isn’t any better than Uncharted 2. At least not in the story mode. The biggest campaign improvement over UC2 is the lack of weird, blue Sasquatch things as enemies.
The game has a good multiplayer mode with lots of variations in how to play. There’s your standard team death match (5v5), a free for all, and a cool 2v2v2 three team match. Plunder makes its return from the UC2 multiplayer. What’s new is the team objective mode where you do a best of 5 in random objective matches including king of the hill, turf war (like territories) and Marked man (similar to VIP in some other games).
Naughty Dog has again created a visual masterpiece, their level design always creates these really large, unique, and often stunning arenas for Nate’s story to take place. The cruise ship level from UC3 is an example of what great level design should be.
As pretty as the game is, Uncharted 3 lacks the control and choice that are the hallmarks of today’s best games. The game is very linear, never giving you the chance to solve something your own way, but it likes to give you an illusion of control avoiding many cut scenes by having the characters interact in real-time is great, but often in these areas the game doesn’t allow all your moves (you can’t even pull your gun out for instance) which kind of kills the drama of whether or not a bad guy is around the corner. On the other hand, if you see some waist high walls in the area, you know you’re going to see a gunfight soon.
There are certain types of enemies that require specific actions to take down. One is a “brute” who you can take down in hand to hand combat by countering his attacks. For some reason he shows up in many different places, even in the middle of a gunfight at the top of a castle. This lead me to try pulling my gun and shooting him mid-fight. To my surprise, the game engine allowed me to pull my gun out, but to my even further surprise, several gunshots to the face did nothing to this guy and I ended up KO-ing him with another fist fight counter. This, of course, made the fist fighting feel forced and tacked-on. It's still fun to fight, shoot, and climb in UC3, but you don't have as much freedom as you think and when you try to move out of the box you will be disappointed.
Overall, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is a good game with some minor flaws and gameplay that feels a bit dated. Its biggest problem is that it just doesn’t feel like an improvement over its predecessor. I’d suggest giving the multiplayer a try before dropping your hard-earned cash on this as the campaign probably wont pull you back in after you finish.
