Add NFSDrew to your friends list, beat his times, take a picture, post it, win a PS3!
From the Need for Speed Website News...
NFSDrew is a staple in the NFS community. Not only that but he’s also pretty damn good at the games. All of them. We figured that we would let you guys take him on in a two-week long competition! Here’s what you need to do to be entered into the contest to win a CUSTOM NFS PS3 (pictured below)!
Send NFSDrew a friend request on XBOX or PS3- He is limited to 100 friends on each console so we will be RESETTING his friend list every day**
- Find a Speedwall where you beat NFSDrew
- Log-in to Autolog on the web
-- Click on Autolog Recommends
-- Select one of the Recommendations on the left side of the screen
-- Take a screenshot of the Speedwall if you’re beating NFSDrew
- Second option is to take an in-game picture with your phone of yourself beating NFSDrew (again on ANY Speedwall you're beating NFSDrew)
- Take your shot and post it as a twitpic with the following somewhere in the tweet
-- #AutologRecommends and @needforspeed
This contest will go until December 10th at 5pm PST! Good luck and take NFSDrew down (because I can’t)!!
** Note: Weekends are considered one day, so there will be a reset on Friday and then again on Monday.
*** Additional note: This is an NTSC PlayStation 3, but still an extremely rare collector's edition. For those in the Europe area, just know that it may not play your PlayStation copies.
I was having trouble adding him so I emailed him and this is what he said ....My friends list is generally reset every morning pacific standard time. However, it fill up quick so it’s best to send the friend request around 10am (PST). Also, you can add NeedforSpeed on Twitter and they've been posting when his friends list is reset. Hope this helps guys... good luck winning the PS3

And here comes another Need for Speed game...
EA has announced they are teaming with Black Box to bring you Need for Speed the Run for November 15 2011on the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, 3DS, Wii . This time you will be racing across the country. They are running the Frostbite 2 engine and are looking to have action movie style sequences. With the popularity of movies like Fast and the Furious EA has decided they want in.
Here's the official info. http://www.ea.com/games/need-for-speed-the-run
It’s called The Run. An illicit, high-stakes race across the country. The only way to get your life back is to be the first from San Francisco to New York.
No speed limits. No rules. No allies. All you have are your driving skills and sheer determination as you battle hundreds of the world’s most notorious drivers on the country’s most dangerous roads.
In Need for Speed The Run, you’ll weave through dense urban centers, rocket down icy mountain passes and navigate narrow canyons at breakneck speeds, all the while evading a relentless police force prepared – and willing – to use lethal force to take you down.
In stores November 15th, 2011.

Criterion is making the new Burnout ... I mean Most Wanted
Godzilla is Back!
Well the Nissan GT R at least.
We all new EA was planning another Need for Speed and I wasn't Hyped. After seeing this I'm still not exactly hyped but I'll be considering it. I loved the Burnout games and if that is the direction this is taking it could be fun. The graphics look pretty good. And well racing isn't exactly ground breaking, you have sims and arcade style and for a good game you need to find some middle ground.
They say against friends, now if this is just the autolog no big deal, but if we can run through town with friends tearing stuff up it'll be great. Hot Pursuit already let us run from cops as a group so this sounds like the right way to go.

Criterion makes the only racing games I want to play besides Mario Kart. How does their second entry into the Need for Speed series compare to previous games? Check out this video.
The Autolog 2 sounds cool, not just best times, but longest jumps and multiplayer stats too. This game needs spike strips though... those weapons made Hot Pursuit a ton of fun.
A short gameplay demo of the new NFS game
The gameplay looks a bit like Hot Pursuit in the style of slamming the cars off the road. I wonder if we get gadgets?
