Modders on Halo Reach. I have not seen anything like this since Halo 2. The Jimmy is jumping super high and killing us with 1 shot, using the AR. Running super fast and jumping the length of the map. Edited for time.

Last week Bungie banned like 15,000 Jimmys. Hackers, boosters, modders, alleged cheaters. Whatever, Bungie is on top of the situation. I was just having a conversation with BatRastered this afternoon, that Bungie was doing an excellent job Banning the cheaters. The Banhammer has come down twice since launch and soon will become self aware, like Skynet.

The video below shows some Jimmys that haven't been effected by the BanHammer yet. That shouldn't take long though, you'll understand after you see the video. All the guns on the map were one shot kills. For red and blue teams. One guy on the red team had a super high jump and could run really fast. I haven't seen stuff like this since Halo 2. So what's going on here? Something in Reach is like Halo 2 and the hacker and modders can mess with the settings like that. My take is Halo Reach looks like Halo 3 and shoots like Halo CE. I never had a comparison for Halo 2 really. I guess it mods like Halo 2. Yeah that's a good one. Watch the video below. This shouldn't be taken as a fanboy rant or a blame it all on Bungie type thing. I know, no matter what Bungie does, there are always gonna be some Jimmys ruining the game for us. Halo is my favorite shooter and I know that people want to see videos like this. For me, it was like seeing a UFO tonight. I had no idea this could even happen anymore on Halo, or even Xbox 360 at all. Thanks for reading.

Goukijones, Batrasterd, and I take on Pete the Invincible using a glitch to our advantage.

On Wednesday, January 16, Goukijones, Batrasterd, and I went and took on the raid boss of Mr. Tourge's Campaign of Carnage, Pete the Invincible. During the course of this particular fight, though, we ended up getting Pete into a spot where he essentially got stuck, allowing us to defeat him without much issue.

Killzone 3 changes the industry. Here's a look at a few high profile gun peripherals for the Sony Playstation Move. The official Sony Sharpshooter and the CTA Assault rifle. Play an FPS like never before.

There are a few excellent options if you want to use your PlayStation 3 Move controller and play an FPS like you have never played before. Killzone 3 has gun peripherals galore. We got to try one out recently at CES and FnJimmy really liked it. From what I observed, I like what I saw and would definitely give it a try. Sony has a quality product here with the Move FPS.

The peripheral we got hands-on with at CES was the official Sony PlayStation Move SharpShooter.

Dan "Toasty" Forden Returns in MK9

Remember the dude from the classic MK games that popped out and yelled "Toasty" after your character connected an uppercut? Well, he is Dan Forden from Netherrealm Studios (previously Midway) and he makes his epic return in Mortal Kombat 9!

this is TOO awesome i used to LOVE this guy in the old mk games.

i used to think he said whoopsee lol but the nostalgia  factor is big with this one ^_^

Our first look at how to build out the Borderlands 2 classes starts off with Maya, the Siren. Let's see how her 3 skill trees work.

Let's start off with my least favorite tree, Harmony (the center tree). Here's a link to the build if you want to follow along.

I really don't like the "Scorn" cap on this tree, as you can see at the end of the video, it's very easy to hit yourself with it. Some of the other skills like the "Res" game changer in the middle of the tree, are only useful in co-op, so you'd likely want to re-spec if you ever played solo and put that point to better use somewhere else in the tree. In a full team of 4, and with a good Heavenly Nurse class mod, this build can greatly improve the survivability of everyone in the group. In fact, you should probably move the 5 points in recompense into Elated if you have 3 or more players as it will be less about your survival and more about the health of the group as a whole.

Yakuza 4 just got way more interesting. This story was originally for a new video from Sega about the Hostess Clubs in the game. It's turned into a monster about these beautiful Japanese girls, who are the stars of Yakuza 4 Hostess Clubs.

I saw this video this morning on YouTube and of course Japanese girls catch my attention in real life and virtually. So I have to check it out. First of all, the Yakuza game series is one I have yet to experience. I don't know why, maybe just never had the right feeling for it. The new version is looking more and more interesting to me. And not just because I can now go hang out in a Authentic -albeit virtual- Japanese Hostess Club. Yakuza 4 is seriously trying to be a Japanese style GTA.

Brink is a highly anticipated shooter. Made by some crazy English chaps that love to do what they do. Brink is going to set a new standard for shooters when it's released sometime this year. Also Exclusive DLC information, where you purchase matters.

It's been 6 Months since the last developer diary from Splash Damage. Don't worry about that. It's time to get a lesson on Sonic Space. Something that the developers are taking very serious over at Splash Damage. This type of attention to detail and dedication really gets me hype to see what comes next with Brink.

BRINK DEVELOPER DIARY #5 - CHRIS SWEETMAN was just released today. Chris Sweetman is the Audio Diretor at Splash Damage. Chris also did sound design on the BLACK video game. In his latest blog he talks about Sonic Space and what it means for Brink.

"We wanted every sound in Brink to be heard perfectly, whether it was a Molotov cocktail exploding, a mini gun winding up, or a heavy body-type player coming round the corner to stomp on your face." Chris says in the blog.

All of the audio was originally recorded for the game and there has been extensive work in creating the perfect sound effects for Brink. So when you are doing Parkour and jump on to some shanty roof top, it's gonna sound like a shanty roof top.

The Choir of Guns idea is great. Whether you are Resistence or Security in the game you will have different sounding weapons. The Security will have the cleaner, more well maintained sounding guns. The Resistence will have the beat up/been in a fight version of guns. Look closely when you watch the video, almost every gun looks and sounds different. A little bit of that Borderlands style right there.

Halo always stands out for me when I think about the sound of gun fire. I don't know too much about what gun fire sounds like in real life, so I can't discuss that. I do know when I shoot off a sniper rifle on Hemorrhage, it echoes off the canyon walls and then fades away. In Brink, Chris explains that the sound is totally natural in the game. There's no BS background weird war noises going on. If you hear gun fire, you should be able to tell how far away it is and perhaps who is shooting at who.

"Then on top of that, we gave each weapon three distinct stages of distance:
A close-up third person sound - what you would hear if another player was right next to you.
A mid-range sample - which would be played about 15 to 20 ft away from the firing player.
A far sample - which would be played above and beyond 20 ft from the firing player.
"

If that's still not enough, Splash Damage took it one step further programing begginng, middle and end firing sounds for each weapon. What this means is a more true to life sound, not just a looped audio track that goes off depending on how you push the trigger.

"We came up with a granular system that breaks up our recorded weapon burst of roughly 15 rounds into three main groups: Start, Middles, and Ends.
The Start is the initial attack; it’s the first shot fired and this sample always stays the same.
The Middles are the tiny sections of each shot firing, broken up into pieces.
The Ends are the tails of the final shot in a burst; like the Starts, these samples always stay the same.
"

When you watch the video, watch with your ears. Look at the guns and the characters, there are tons of character skins and weapon mods running around. I'm very exciting about this.

So you can buy face paint to look like the Joker and/or change your reticule to look like anything. Including a penis? Probably not, but you can paint a Unicorn with gun hooves on your equipment.

How to score the "Tribute to a Vault Hunter" achievement and get some cool loot in the process.

Michael Mamaril was a huge Borderlands fan who passed away before BL2 was released. The guys at Gearbox have immortalized him in game, you can get an achievement for finding him, and better yet, he'll give you a free gun of blue (or better) quality every time you see him.

On the consoles, he shows up 100% of the time before the story mission "Rising Action" and only about 10% of the time after that mission starts. On PC it is apparently 10% all the time.

Here's video of us finding him after "Rising Action" at Scooter's (this contains a small story spoiler if you haven't played that mission yet):

And again, this time at Moxxi's:

When he does spawn, he will randomly be in one of a handful of locations, here's where you can find him.

  • Near the newsstand in the center of town
  • In an alley down the street from the front entrance to Moxxi's
  • Inside Moxxi's, near the bar
  • Inside Moxxi's, near the piano
  • In Marcus' weapons shop
  • Near Claptrap's locker up some steps
  • Inside Scooter's garage, under the stairs
  • Inside Crimson Raider headquarters next to the stairs
  • Inside Zed's clinic
  • To the left of the door to Crazy Earl's Black Market

He's easily identifiable from both the guns strapped to his back and the fact that his name shows over his head instead of "sanctuary citizen".

Once you've got an item from him, he won't give you another until you either save and reload or leave town and come back. It's a great way to get some mid-level gear before the "Rising Action" mission, where the action really picks up and those guns will come in handy.

Have you ever wondered if the top ranked player on the Xbox Live Leaderboard for Super Street Fighter 4 was legit? Well I've always suspected cheating, and now there is video proof. Check it out!

I'm a huge fan of Super Street Fighter 4. It is one of the most well balanced fighting games to date. No character (maybe Hakan) is worthless in this game. Which is why I play it so much, and never get tired of it. I've checked out the leaderboards before to find replays of some of the best players in the world. Players such as Diago, Gamerbee, Gootecks, Mike Ross, Justin Wong, Sako, Marn, Tokido, and YHC Mochi among others. But I've always noticed a few players with exceptionally high PP, over 7k to be precise. Anyway aMasahitolkeda6 has been exposed for cheating (boosting) PP to become number 1 on the leaderboard.


Now why would you upload your replays to the SSF4 channel if you've been cheating? Sad really. Check it out!
