WWE All Stars news continues this week with the announcement of a new FightStick from MadCatz. The BrawlStick and BrawlPad(fightpad version) will debut along side the new game. MadCatz looking to capitalize on the Fightstick market with WWE fans.

The new WWE game may control more like Street Fighter than WWE SmackDown VS Raw. These new FightStick should be your first clue. The press release says the the FightStick is vital for the new gameplay style of WWE All Stars.

From the press release:

And I quote ...

"The BrawlStick and BrawlPad are both ideal for recreating signature moves of the WWE Legends and current WWE Superstars. WWE All Stars will deliver one of the greatest rosters ever assembled in a WWE videogame.  WWE All Stars  invites players to generate fantasy matches between WWE Legends and current WWE Superstars or mix any of the two and ultimately determine the greatest competitors of all time."

WWE All Stars New Roster Trailer

By: Cinderkin Feb 28, 2011 | 6 Comments

THQ has revealed a new roster trailer for the upcoming WWE All Stars game. Featuring an amazing cast. Be sure to check it out! Austin 3:16 said I just kicked your ass!

So what do you Jimmys think? Too much DLC before the launch of the game? Looks amazing? I can't wait. Tell us what you think in the comments. Don't be a Jimmy!

The jimmy asses who run Mad Catz put out a press release, but didn't update their site.

Mad Catz today announced via a press release that the previously announced BrawlStick and BrawlPad are now shipping. Allegedly. See, the website still says pre-order.

They also announced some new designs for the BrawlPad featuring John "Jimmy" Cena and Hulk Hogan.

To celebrate the launch of the new range, Mad Catz also announced today a new BrawlPad design depicting all-time great Hulk Hogan and WWE Superstar John Cena® with official artwork from the videogame. The new design joins the previously announced BrawlPad featuring The People’s ChampionTM, The Rock® and WWE Superstar Triple H®.

I wish I could see what the new designs looked like, but again, these Jimmies have not updated their site.

Time to get in the ring

Round one I tried out the Ultimate Warrior and he felt a little clunky, but it could just be me.  The power was there and getting my first KO by finisher was pretty cool.  But the control seems pretty simple and I'm seeing no reason to get the Fight Pad unless you just want one for the hell of it.

But there are two sides to this fight.

When I switch over to rey Mysterio for the second match I could see a difference.  He's fast, fluid, and gets some air.  His grapples are true to his style with them looking more like counters.  I'm impressed.

But as much fun as I'm having and looking forward to playing as other legends and trying all the match types, I've got to say rent it.  Unless you are a real wrestling fan, then get off your candy ass and get the game.

WWE All Stars The Attitude Era Returns

By: goukijones Jan 19, 2011 | 8 Comments

Old school VS New school in this new WWE game. WWE All Stars. High flying and fast paced action. Over the top rope fun. A new control scheme. And the characters are ALL juiced and jacked up like the old WWF days. Vintage fun!

WWE All Stars

Yeah I know SmackDown VS Raw 2011 just came out a few months ago. Plus who watches professional wrestling? Well FnJimmy and the entire locks it up for Raw and SmackDown every week here in the offices. We have a Fantasy Wrestling league called the FUW. Oh it's serious over here. You know we got a wrestling website too, right?

So you wanna know what's up with this WWE All Stars? It's an over the top action based beat-em up, flippin' and floppin' of a game. Looking at the pictures and seeing the character designs you can see right away that it is ridiculous. Not ridiculous in a negative way either. The game looks like it is really trying to have fun with itself.

Look at the size of those Jimmys. In the video it shows the wrestlers jumping all over the place. This game is nothing like SDvR2011, this game looks like pure action.

You yutes out there don't remember how WWE games looked like back in the day when the WWE was called the WWF. For Fuck yea! Back in the day, if you wanted to do a super in a wrestling game, we had to wait for a special icon to float around the ring and THEN have to catch. Now that's old school gaming right there.

WWE All Stars Launch Trailer

The greatest superstars of all time. 2 Generations, 1 ring. This does look like fun for the whole family right? Or at least the room of gay dudes watching wrestling every week. What do you think about the new THQ logo. Does that make you believe THQ is capable of making high quality products? They have the GAP logo of video games companies now. When I visited their site this morning, I got this pop up immediately:

"The new THQ logo expresses this evolution: Original, Creative and Powerful" You gotta believe in a company that gives you a pop up when you visit their site to get you pumped up about their new logo. What a bunch of Jimmys.

WWE All Stars is set for release on March 29, 2011. $57.99 $59.99 Bonus content - Two bonus downloadable characters: Reserve WWE All Stars and receive The Million Dollar Pack which includes two bonus downloadable characters: WWE Legend and Hall of Famer, “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and his son, current RAW Superstar, Ted DiBiase Jr.

WWE All Stars Spectator Mode Review

By: goukijones Apr 1, 2011 | 5 Comments

FnJimmy brought over WWE All Stars the other night and I just watched. Here's my take on what I saw. I guess I should have known better than to let FnJimmy demo a game for me.

The graphics in WWE All Stars is the first this you are going to notice when ever you see this game. They are over the top and extreme. All of the wrestlers look crazy, especially Sheamus. There isn't that many wrestlers to choose from at the beginning, you have to unlock a lot. Jimmy of course hasn't unlocked any. There are no divas in the game sad face. Kofi Kingston?! Really, really? Really?

You can do 4-man tornado tag matches [All four guys in the ring at the same time.] Cage matches. Triple Threats are another option. But that was about it. I didn't get to see much of the actual strategy in the game, because well it was Jimmy. I'm sure there is though, you get rated at the end of every match like Street Fighter. There's gotta be some technique, there's a counter button.

The titantrons are accurate, short and to the point. You don't have to watch the guy walk all the way down to the ring thank god. Howard Finkle is the announcer and that brings back some memories. WWE All Stars also has Create a Wrestler, but it's kept short. This works out fine in the game. I'm not to interested in spending hours creating a wrestler. Move sets are selected so you can pick a Rey Mysterio size guy and then attach Andre The Giant's moves. That's cool.

This CAW below we created in about 5 minutes. Choke is our stand by video game stunt man of course. Totally fucking with some of the settings we maximized the depth of his abdomen and wait until you see this pointy mess. That's what she said.

I Played WWE All Stars Today!

By: fnjimmy Jun 15, 2010 | 3 Comments

This story is about me playing WWE Stars at E3 2010

Ok today I tried out WWE All Stars over at E3 and it is still in production so all they had is John Cena and The Rock, now when there finished it will have a lot of wrestlers from what I believe is from the 2000's, 90's and 80's. Some people hate it so far but u got to understand like I said before it is still in the works but to me it's going to be good for what it is. The fighting is basic and easy to pick up I did not know what I was doing but I figured it out as I played the game. I'm thinking that the announcers will say different things over and over again. And I'm hoping they get the crowd to interact in some way. Now I agree that the animation looks retarded but it still be fun as hell.
