Playing Diablo 3 with an Xbox 360 Controller

By: goukijones May 17, 2012 | 7 Comments

Nothing a little determination won't over come. After trying multiple programs and testing out tons of configurations. GoukiJones finally achieved greatness, by killing the skeleton king with an Xbox 360 Controller. Here's how:

Everybody has seen the story about the Xpadder. That Jimmy has posted that same story all over the internet. Well the Xpadder is $10. I'm cheap. Plus I just paid full price for Diablo 3 that has been in development for years and should have come with a simple feature, such as controller support. Never mind all that, Xpadder is $10 and I wasn't having that. I did find a free version of Xpadder, but it wouldn't even install and giving me pc safety warnings. I searched the internets and came across a few different FREE options. Free options are always scary, but I was willing to risk it.

Borderlands 2 Axton the Commando build guide

By: BatRastered Mar 30, 2013 | 1 Comments

Axton has quickly moved up my list of favorite characters in BL2, his turret action skill is quite good on its own, but with the right skills and weapons you can do the work of two players by yourself.

First the Survival Tree, I'm not a big fan of this.

Build here: http://talent.87bazillion.com/2/commando.php?41030000005500010000055050130151

You can see the relative offensive weakness of this build at about 4:45 in the video I throw a turret on each side of a basic loader, and I still have to kill it myself. I don't recommend the turret without the rocket pods. :) If you had 3 more points you could get the Scorched Earth rocket pods too. So with the 11 levels coming April 2, that's what I'd suggest first. If I did this over, I'd probably go with the rockets over the longbow just for the damage boost, but mag-lock without longbow is not very useful and Battlefront (extra damage when the turret is out for all your guns and grenades) is just so damn useful that I can't really recommend either version of this build unless you get the level cap DLC and get all 3 this build falls apart.

Now the Guerilla tree, the fun starts to pick up.

http://talent.87bazillion.com/2/commando.php?52550115115100000000015050110000

This is a good damage build with decent survivability. It allows the turret to slag, which is useful and will be even better in the upcoming third play through. The turret also has rocket pods and a shield. As far as Axton himself, he gets to carry 5 extra grenades and his shield will be recharging quickly most of the time. This is a good build that will only get better with the 11 new levels, allowing you to either add longbow and battlefront or get the twin Gemini turrets. Very versatile.

Finally we get to Gunpowder. NUKE!

http://talent.87bazillion.com/2/commando.php?51050100005500315015115010000000

This build is a great all around build as well, you still get the rocket pods from Guerilla and a good amount of defense, but you get a ton of DPS both from your nuke turret (basically an awesome, rechargeable grenade) and the use of the Battlefront skill. You'll note the Kerblaster assault rifle in the video shoots a projectile that explodes, drops a grenade and explodes again. This works with all the grenade damage boost skills too so this is my current favorite high DPS build. With 11 more skill points you can reach the slag turret too (double up, at the bottom of Guerilla tree) which will make this build very useful for the third play through. Also, nuking things is fun. :)

Something incredible has been in the works for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fans!

Revealed recently at a hands on demo, the company Bandai Namco showed off a playable version of their JoJo’s Battle Royale Arcade setups.  Each arcade cabinet is modular for another cabinet to hook up to it.  So you could have your very own JoJo’s Battle Royale Arcade set up for 4-30 people!  Or you can fly out to Japan and play this in their arcades.  The first video is gameplay uploaded from the event from YouTube Channel: Akiba-Ninja.  Back to back wins!  Total domination!

In the video below gameplay from the event begins and with the spectator/commentator mode you get a nice tour of what the game is like and the different characters.  The fact that so much time and effort has gone into this Arcade Machine is incredible to me.  I definitely see it getting a port to consoles and PC.  Not because it’s JoJo’s, but because it’s a battle royale, there’s enough fanbase for that genre and then you add in JoJo’s name and it’s a no brainer.

Final character story trailer released along with all 4 character skill trees.

Borderlands.com also released all the the character skill trees.  You can put the points in and build out your character and see what all the different perks and moves are.  I love that this is available now, this should certainly help me decide which character I want to choose.  FL4K lookin' good in that trailer tho!

A Tribute To Mortal Kombat 9's Boss Characters

By: starlordtitus Jul 7, 2011 | 7 Comments

The ever powerful boss characters of Mortal Kombat 9 display significantly greater strength than all the other Kombatants. The Shokans Goro and Kintaro, the Emperor Shao Kahn. Power incarnate, these dreaded enemies stand between you and victory.

Goro

Real Name Goro Age 2000 Height 8' 2" Weight 550 lbs. Status Prince Origin Outworld Resides Outworld Species Shokan (Draco Lineage) Affiliations Shao Kahn's Army
Kitana's Army (former) Weapons Dragon Fangs (MK:D, MK:A) Fighting Styles Shokan (fighting style) (MK:D,MK:A)
Kuatan (fighting style) (MK:D) Alignment 1st Timeline: Neutral/Evil
2nd Timeline: Evil Appearances Mortal Kombat (sub-boss)
Mortal Kombat Trilogy (sub-boss)
Mortal Kombat 4 (sub-boss)
MK: Deception (GameCube exclusive)
MK: Shaolin Monks (sub-boss)
MK: Unchained
MK: Armageddon
MK 2011 (sub-boss) Portrayers Kevin Michael Richardson(first film)
Garret Sato (Mortal Kombat (2011))

About Goro: Goro's fighting style always revolved around taking advantage of his brute strength and surprising agility. In the early games. Goro was an imbalanced character. All of his moves did far more damage then all of the other characters and because of that he was notoriously difficult to defeat in the first game. In 3D games, he was toned down to make him more balanced. His current depiction is being powerful but slow. Goro is associated with the element of Fire. Like Kintaro, he could either project fireballs either from his mouth or his hands.

Kintaro

Real Name Kintaro Age Unknown Height 8' 5" (2.57 m) Weight 650 lbs (295 kg) Origin Outworld Resides Outworld Species Shokan (Tigrar lineage)
Stryker Weapons Saber Teeth (MK:A) Fighting Styles Tiger Fist (MK:A) Alignment Evil Appearances Mortal Kombat II
Mortal Kombat Trilogy
MK: Deception (cameo)
MK: Shaolin Monks
MK: Armageddon
Mortal Kombat (2011) (sub-boss) Portrayers Rhasaan Orange

About Kintaro: Like any other Shokan, Kintaro boasts brute strength, stamina and prowess. Unlike his brethren, Kintaro hails from a subspecies specializing in savagery. Combined with savage style of kombat and a mercilessness makes him one of the most lethal kombatants on the battle ground.

For a long time after his introduction, he was seen as one of the hardest bosses in all of the Mortal Kombat series. This was because he was able to grabl someone in mid-attack and throw him or her to the ground, usually followed by a teleport-stomp. He also shot up to three fireballs at a time. The extreme difficulty in defeating him was enough to provoke a comment from Video Games magazine, in their 1993 review of the home versions of MKII, that Kintaro was "the hardest fighting game boss ever...He doesn't just beat you; he kicks your ass."

Shao Kahn

Real Name Shao Kahn Age Unknown (beyond 10,000) Height 7' 2" (2.18 m) Weight 400 lbs (181.4 kg) Status Emperor Origin Outworld Resides Outworld Species Outworlder Weapons Wrath Hammer (All appearances) Shao Kahn's Sword (Mortal Kombat: Conquest) Fighting Styles Tai Tzu (MK:D, MK:A)

Mortal Kombat (2011) (boss) Portrayers Brian Glynn (MKII, MK3,

John Vernon and
Michael Des Barres (DotR)
Jeffrey Meek (MK Conquest)
Aleks Paunovic (MKL)
Patrick Seitz (MKvsDCU)
Bob Carter (MK 2011)

About Shao Kahn: Shao Kahn is shown to be an immensely powerful being throughout the series. He is able to utilize magic and has superhuman strength. He is also able to charge at the opponent with considerable speed and power. In Mortal Kombat 9, Shao Kahn is by far, supreme and above Goro and Kintaro. Able to attack and grab even while being attacked. He also has incredible health along with up to par defenses.

Now I leave you some videos of their great power.

Akuma - The man, The myth, The legend

By: blazemanx Jun 19, 2011 | 5 Comments

a look into the man we call akuma/gouki.

Akuma is one of the most feared fighters in all of gaming and with good reason. I still remember seeing him for the first time on the 3DO (remember that system?) dashing in out of the darkness to kill bison and challange you to fight. Ever since then akuma has been quite possibly the most deadly warrior in all of fighting game history and here is a look into the man, the myth, the legend.

Akuma (known Gouki in Japan) trained under Goutetsu along with his brother, Gouken. Goutetsu taught them Ansatsuken (Assassin Fist), which is a mixture of karate, judo, and koppo. As the brothers progressed under Goutetsu's teachings, a dispute arose on the true nature of Ansatsuken and the path to master it. Gouken, unable to accept the violent nature of Ansatsuken, left Goutetsu to begin his own dojo. Akuma continued Goutetsu's teachings and vowed to use Ansatsuken as it was intended.

In order to learn Shun Goku Satsu, Akuma embraced the principle of Satsui no Hadou or (The Surge of the Intent to Murder/Murderous Intent). Through Satsui no Hadou, Akuma was forced to give up any compassion he held towards other human beings. In addition, Akuma realized his limits as a martial artist could be expanded, and left Goutetsu's guidance to train alone on an island (Gokuento).

His return marked the end for Goutetsu... Akuma demonstrated his strength by killing his former master with Shun Goku Satsu. Goutetsu fell with an inner joy, realizing his pupil was attempting to master Ansatsuken. Akuma removed the beaded necklace from Goutetsu's neck and placed it around his own. The following day Akuma challenged and fought his brother. With Gouken gaining the upper hand, Akuma was eventually struck down. Akuma requested death in defeat, however his brother was unable to kill his own kin. Akuma, sensing weakness, mocked Gouken and struck with Shun Goku Satsu. The dojo was filled with a burst of white light and Gouken was killed. Ken saw the flash as he was returning from the U.S. Martial Arts tournament. Rushing to the dojo to find it in shambles and his master dead, an enraged Ken ran into the surrounding woods searching for the killer. Akuma easily defeated Ken and disappeared. Gouken's other student Ryu soon learned of his master's death and began to search for Akuma.

Akuma first fought Ryu at his island, Gokuento, and discovered the potential within him. He destroyed the island and told Ryu to come back when he had embraced the killing intent. However, Ryu rejected it. Akuma now practices to be prepared for a battle with Ryu. He also killed Bison during the SF2 series, the only official result of that game.

Akuma fights only to test his strength and his opponent's. This means that he will only fight opponents that will provide a challenge, hence his refusal to fight unworthy challengers under any circumstances. Akuma will only kill opponents who are as strong as he, which is why he stopped his fight with Gen after realizing that he was ill. While Akuma killed his brother and his teacher, he did so in the confines of the code of the warrior, where the field of battle does not distinguish between friend and foe. Akuma believes he committed no transgression whatsoever. Also, with the exception of Gouken and Goutetsu, Akuma usually only fights those who challenge him instead of picking fights.

"Akuma" means "Demon" in Japanese. The kanji on the back of his uniform is called "ten." It can mean "sky," "heaven," or "beyond human." Akuma also has a few alternate, more powerful incarnations of himself including: Shin Akuma, Cyber Akuma and Oni Akuma.

Akuma is one of the first Street Fighter characters to really say "evil," besides good old M. Bison of course. Akuma's moves are of course based off of Ken's & Ryu's, which makes sense considering the storyline. In the later of the series, the manner is which he performs his moves became more and more different from Ryu & Ken... cooler maybe? Heh heh. Well, if you didn't know, Akuma adds in a certain "badass factor" to pretty much anything he does. He is an all around badass karate dude, if not THE badass karate dude.

I loved Akuma's 2nd Impact/3rd Strike appearance & fighting style, but honestly his SF4 incarnation disappointed me a bit... he's a bit too "monstrous-looking" in that game and his super moves just don't have the same pop. I think Akuma has looked his best in 2D form. In any case, he's surely one of my all time favorite fighting game characters (and I know I'm not the only one). Finally, Akuma's appearance in MVC3 looks downright epic... potentially his best... incarnation... ever.

Here is a little video I put together in tribute to akuma i hope you enjoy it.

So what do you think of Akuma? Let us know and don't be a jimmy.

The Last Of Us Part II Gameplay Release Date Announcement.

By: goukijones Sep 24 (24 days ago) | 0 Comments

I don't think you should be surprised that everybody wants to play this game.

RELEASE DATE: February 21, 2020

This is the most start and stop farming we've ever done in any game together.

Borderlands 2 Uranus

We've been farming Uranus for the last 3 days.  At one point we did 8 hours straight in this boss fight.  That's how we got the Pearl Rocket Launcher, Corrosive Conference Call and Corrosive Gatling Gun.  I'm also using an Explosive Fastball Grenade and Grrrty is using a Slagged Magic Missile Grenade.  I think we need to get her using the Fastball during this fight, he doesn’t seem to take slag damage.  Plus Axton’s turrets are out almost the entire time and they have the slag gun attached to it.

Check out our Borderlands stream on GoukiTV.  We’ve streamed every moment of our gameplay from Borderlands GOTY Edition and Borderlands 2.  Next up… the Pre-Sequel.

Watch more of our clips on our Twitch channel.
