This is just another step forward for our current sytems and may be a preview of what to expect on the next generation. By itself this isn't that big of a deal, but it just shows how fast the companies are implementing new technology as it presents itself. What would you like to see make it on the systems next? We already have web browsing, netflix, and countless other things.
Don't be a Jimmy, let's hear some ideas.
The official feed from Sony, watch it here!
Check it out, leave some comments below on what's happening.
Could we take this as a good sign?
Giant Bomb has confirmed that developers have some access to PSN back. They can't create new accounts, but this is a start.
"As developers are able to bypass the login screen, shooters have been largely okay; those games connect to servers running independent of PSN. Games that access the friends list do not have the same option."
Hopefuly the rest of us will be back online soon enough.

Sony Computer Entertainment today announced that it entered into a definitive agreement on June 30, 2012 (Japan Time) to acquire Gaikai Inc., the world's leading interactive cloud-based gaming company, what will this mean for the PS4?
I'm not sold on network powered gaming yet. Having the processing power in the cloud means you don't have to buy hardware, and it means the operating company can upgrade the hardware at any time without bothering you, but the input and display lag has to kill certain genres of games. Would you play an FPS or a fighting game with noticeable lag, for instance? For a single-player cinematic experience, this system would be tough to beat (like Uncharted's campaign) though I think even some action games would need to be tweaked to be a bit more forgiving of timing based actions.
Sure, the internet is getting faster all the time, but that's just download and upload speed... bandwidth. The real issue is latency, which is how long it takes your signal to go from your computer (or device) to the servers and for information (in this case a screen image) to come back again. This is limited by how far away you are from the servers and the speed of light. There's not much Gaikai can do about the later, so they solve this problem by co-locating servers closer to population areas... having East coast and West coast datacenters is common as is having European and Asian area datacenters. That said, I wouldn't expect there to be datacenters all over the U.S.A. If you live in the middle of nowhere, you're probably out of luck as far as latency goes. Your only option is to move to New York or San Francisco (or somewhere closer to them).
Anyway, what does all this have to do with the PS4? Well, for starters, you may already have the hardware in your house now:
"By combining Gaikai's resources including its technological strength and engineering talent with SCE's extensive game platform knowledge and experience, SCE will provide users with unparalleled cloud entertainment experiences," said Andrew House, President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. "SCE will deliver a world-class cloud-streaming service that allows users to instantly enjoy a broad array of content ranging from immersive core games with rich graphics to casual content anytime, anywhere on a variety of internet-connected devices." - Source: Sony Press Release
Hey, you know what's an "internet-connected device"? The PS3! What else? Most Sony TV's sold today. Sony could easily put a Gaikai app on the PS3 dashboard... they probably will do this whether or not they release an actual hardware PS4. Not having to release new system hardware would save the company a ton of money. More than enough to cover the $380 million (USD) they spent on Gaikai. It's hard to say why Sonly would have purchased Gaikai if they didn't plan to integrate it into the Playstation brand, though I guess stranger things have happened.
What do you think? Is cloud gaming in your future or will they have to pry physical hardware from your cold, dead hands?
My journey with the PS3 ups and downs
So for Christmas I got a PS3! I got 4 games with it(Heavy Rain, Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet, and Uncharted) So far everything is going good. I watched a ton of movies made a PSN and what not. But what pisses me off the most are the updates for games. Right now I wanted to play Heavy Rain for the first time and I have to sit for 183 minutes waiting for the update. Is that why PS3's memory is so big? To store all these updates? What's the point of installing every game ever made. It just wastes so much time and I decided to write this story because I have nothing better to do while Heavy Rain is updating. I've already taken a shit and made a meal. So what do you guys think of the PS3? I was actually blown away on how good it can look when set up right. They have good exclusives, and its just a nice sleek console and a change from my xbox. The only con for me right now I guess is the updates. :(

But it's glitchy as hell. An error has occurred (80710D36) get used to seeing it for now.
Source 2 I'm on it right now
Sony has got the store back up and running (like crap though) and I'm not seeing anyone else talking about it yet. For once insomnia turned out to be a good thing. The page above says that out thanks for putting up with this shit pack isn't in effect yet, "it's in the final stages of testing". WTF? As you go through the store expect a lot of error messages, but backing out once or twice will fix it, yes Sony is still screwing you. The money I added to my wallet was there and ready so hopefully this will be the case for the rest of you. There are a few demos up, and some wallpapers, plus some other crap. It's all listed on that site up there. And on a quick look through Sonic 2 and Abe's Exodus are both free for Playstation Plus members, I'm hoping I can still get these when they activate our free month of the service. It would be nice to play through them again, and I'ld be done way before the trial is done.
So there you have it Jimmys, the PSN store has been resurected and it like any other zombie has some issues. Are you glad it's back? Ready to give Sony your hard earned money again? Pissed that you have to wait longer to get you welcome back stuff? Will you be able to trust Sony again?

The new trailer for Season 2 of The Tester is on the net. I'll watch it, no doubt. It looks just as bas as last year, just now ... Even less actual gameplay.
The show is more about jumping around and crawling through dirt than it is actually testing games. The cast looks semi decent with a few possible hot chicks in there. There's a GT5 console set up in the house. It's only the Prologue version though. Nubfarm. I'm telling you it's big brother for gamers and instead of winning big money like 250k or even a million, these Jimmys get a JOB and 5000 bucks. Watch the trailer!
