New trailer for Fable III gets me hype. What are your thoughts?
I love the fable series, I played through Fable II twice. Fable I definitely left a mark on me when it was originally released. Fable II had a lot of things I didn't like, but the combat was solid. I will always say that I think the Fable series has had one of the best combat systems in games. Its so simple to switch between styles. Depending on which style you would use your character would develop certain traits like: Use magic, start to turn a little crackly and blue. Use the guns and become tall and skinny. I still don't know why using the sword made you fat in bulky. I heard they changed that in Fable III.
Fable III has to be my number 2 most wanted game right now. But since it's coming out the same day as Star Wars The Force Unleashed II and I'm sure BatRastered isn't going to let anyone near him or that game that day. I will be on the Fable III.
The trailer below is just CG with some pwnn ass music. But it reminds me of those classic Gears of War commercials with the serious music.

Until Kenshi hits Mortal Kombat 9, here is a detail video for wielding the bloodthirsty Scarlet.
What I like about this video is the in-depth step by step it displays. Aside from combo videos, I believe that all characters should have a video describing their perks.
A glimpse at the story of Ryse.

There's actual gameplay, if you care about that. The Ghost Hunter stuff is a little over done, but you gotta love the attempt. The second video is actual gameplay. It's in Japanese. Don't worry, you'll get the point. It's supposed to be scary.
Okay when the man's tooth falls out, I laughed. What do you guys think of this video below?

Will Michael Ford stop the alien invasion or be destroyed?
The sequel to one of the Wii's under-appreciated games gets a great update, story and gameplay. Published by SEGA and developed by High Voltage Software, if you own a Wii, check this out!
Story- You play as Michael Ford, who's voiced by the talented Jon St. John(Duke Nukem Jimmy!!), and it's your duty to save the world and stop John Adams from an alien invasion. This story continues right after the first one. You followed Adams through the conduit and the story unfolds with amusing and interesting twists! You land inside Atlantis and use it's conduit to travel and stop Adams, with the help of Andromeda and the new The Destroyer suit. It's a fun experience that changes the way you look at Prometheus and his “good” intentions. I won't spoil anything here but it's a fun experience that'll take you to different location form China and their Jade Warriors to the arctic tundra of Siberia! You'll travel from place to place all over the world.
Gameplay- “BOOM!! Head shot!!” Tight, fluid and fast, with it's own special sauce from High Voltage Games. It's a first person shooter that you point to the screen and destroy baddy for lunch and dinner. Each weapon has a secondary fire and can really make you feel like a super agent from the future. What I love about this series is their choices of weapons and how they implement their special fire. The regular human weapons have iron site, which works well with the tight controls. The alien's weapons have such a diverse use of fire, it makes you appreciate High Voltage Games choice of weapons and experimentation of them. One gun doesn't use ammo, so your shoots are unlimited and you can charge it to become invisible for a short while, but it'll freeze up your gun if you say in that mode. How do you fix that? Start shooting. The gun heats up when shot but cools when charged. Great balance and it's just one of the many weapons that you'll encounter, like a gun that shoots through walls. Grenades are still there and they can really help you in pressuring fights. The use of WiiMotin Plus is only used for on screen cursor if moved TOO far, which I didn't have a problem to begin with. You can even upgrade your armor suit and use those power ups to make the fight more enjoyable as the game progresses. Now, online!
Online- The game supports a whooping 14 game modes across 12 different maps and nice ranking, WITH the support of the new microphone headset, and 12 players going wild, you're truly missing out on one of the Wii's most enjoyable online experience! They even include an online mode called “Invasion Mode” which is fight to survive ways of enemies. With the addition of individual perks and team perks, you'll be surprised on how divers each match could be.
Sound- Great audio work from Jon St. John giving Ford's character more personality. It makes me feel like I'm playing as Duke Nukem at some points! But sound effects from the weapon sound great. Head shots are crunchy, and voice work from everyone else is not bad. The sound track does give some heart pounding music and tension in every boss fight, and the levels themselves are not too shabby! Bright and detailed design and color make is easy on the eyes.
Graphics- High Voltage Software know how to use the Wii. With more color pallet and distinctive level design, each stage is a new experience and sight. Granted, this is not a PS3 or Xbox360 game, so the game does look good in it's own merits. Minor graphical detail in some places but that's just nitpicking.
Overall- BUT IT! With an exciting single player experience and online one of the best, you'll be playing this with friends for hours! I'm now stroked what SEGA and High Voltage Software will have in store for the next game~
Personal opinion here, so skip to the Jimmy notes for a gist of my review.
Reviewers have stated that there is a bug in the save feature and that's NOT true. What turns me away from other editors is the lack of gameplay skills and knowledge they have. The glitch are save points that save when you die. Nope. Only if you run PAST the enemies or jump off a cliff into the next area, the game is programed to autosave in new areas, but you're suppose to defeat the enemies which contradicts the nature of the game, and go down the given path. Seriously! These reviewers, in my opinion, are lazy and just want to get their review out “FIRST”, like every comment on every page, to get more hits! Rather than enjoy a game and what it has to offer in their years of development process and be late on a review, to give a full detail on what they're trying to accomplish and deliver.
- Great online
- Great design and art work
- Tight controls
- Awesome guns
- Good replayability
- Cliff hanger ending

First there was Yawn (a huge snake) in an attic in Resident Evil, then came a giant worm in RE3, next in RE:CV, and even in RE0. Giant snakes and monsters are no stranger to the Resident Evil franchise and RE6 is no different.
In the video below you get to see everyone's favorite STARS, BSAA badass Chris Redfield and his new partner (Jimmy?). Who cares about his partner haha. Anyway check it out!
So clearly Chris is still juicing just like he was in Resident Evil 5. This time his arms aren't as big, but it's clear he can't control his (roid rage).
What did you think of the video? Are you hype for Resident Evil 6?
Tell us what you think in the comments. Don't be a Jimmy!

A new Rage gameplay video was released this morning and I gotta say, I realzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. This game is starting to look more and more like the same old shit to me. Sad face.
I want to see something innovative with FPS. A remote control car that you drive around and blow up? Seen that before, years ago. The driving in Rage doesn't look all that great either, probably a step up from Borderlands, at least in the combat area. But when you shoot and blow up a vehicle and it disintegrates, in your pretty little Rage engine, I gotta ask, where did all of the parts of the car go? Developer cop out? Anyway what's your thoughts, I'm not to hype about a prettier, single player version of Borderlands.
RAGE - The Shrouded Official Gameplay Trailer
BTW the spider thing is bad ass, especially when it pounces on that one Jimmy. But is that all you got?
Deviant art user GENZOMAN is well known for his astonishing Warcraft pictures (one was even featured on the cover of GamePro Magazine)but he also has amazing Street Fighter pictures as well.
Had to share these as soon as I saw them. Definitely enjoying this art style more than most SF fanart. Besides SF and Warcraft, he has some anime and game related work. He also had loads of original stuff which is pretty awesome. Here is his Deviantart if you are interested. http://genzoman.deviantart.com/ He doesn't have a specific Capcom/SF gallery so the pics are scattered around his huge gallery ; sorry if I missed anything. He does have tons of Elena pics though.
So which ones are your favorites? Necro and Maki looked extra awesome to me. Leave a comment on what you think.
A preview to what may be one of the most popular shooters out there this year.
With Borderlands 2 making its arrival in a couple of months, I would like to talk about some of the things that we could expect from this game. Does this game deserves the hype that it deserves? Let's find out:
The game takes place 5 years after the events of the first game, after the Vault Hunters has discovered the secrets of the Eridian Vault. a man who goes by the name of Handsome Jack has taken credit for the vault hunters' action and has amassed the wealth of the Vault, thus allowing him to take over the Hyperion Corporation and as such effectively gained dominion over Pandora. Promising that he will clean up the lawless planet, Handsome Jack embarks on a journey to eradicate Pandora's existing colonists and industrialize the planet. The Main Symbol for Handsome Jack's rule is a massive supply base in the form of an "H" on Pandora's moon, which is visible at all times, and can also deploy Hyperion troops at any point on Pandora.
The game begins with you, the player, fighting to the death in a gladiatorial tournament for a chance win a limitless cache of loot that is run by Handsome Jack. As you succeed through and gain notoriety, Handsome Jack sees this as a threat to his popularity with his people. At the end of the tournament, Handsome Jack decides to decline giving the reward to the player and leaves him/her for dead in a tundra. The Guardian Angel from the first game then appears to you and says that Handsome Jack need to be killed, guiding the player to find and rescue the four original Vault Hunters from Hyperion's clutches in order to accomplish this much needed task. Jack's intentions may be fully unknown, but it may have something to do with having to finding "The Warrior", an ancient evil that is located somewhere in Pandora.
Gameplay will pretty much remain the same from the first game with a lot of new features. The enemy AI will be more intelligent, allowing them to respond to certain situation, whether it is to deploy a shield, taking cover when injured, healing their allies, or even using their allies as shields. They can even encourage teamwork, such as flanking, combined fire, as well as taking cover when injured, while some of the more "primitive" enemies, such as Psychos, will still embrace the old mentality of "Oh look, a Gun! I'll put myself in front of it!!". Some of the other new features includes an expansive and customizable weapons system, along with reworked four-seat drift-able vehicles and vehicles physics elements, and a dynamic quest systems. One good example of this is that if you were to take too long in saving a friend, he would be killed and the mission will fail, thus affecting the course of the main quest.
When it comes to the cast of characters, you have a really nice lineup of characters you can play as. Here's the list of characters with a very brief description of them:
- Class: Gunzerker
- Special Ability: able to Dual-Wield guns
- Class: Siren
- Special Ability: Phaselock
- Class: Commando
- Special Ability: Turrets
- Class: Assassin
- Special Ability: Able to duplicate and become invisible for a limited time, able to deal critical hits with sword.
Another cool thing is that you can completely customize your character in many ways, whether it's something basic as changing the colors of the clothes and hair, to actually changing the way your character looks with new hairstyles and new clothing. Like with the first game, as you level up in the game, you will be able to use skill points to unlock more abilities from three distinct specializations for each of the base characters.
Graphics and Sounds:
Like the previous game, Borderlands 2 will keep their cartoon-esque cell-shading graphic style. In my opinion, I really liked the graphic style of the first game, and to keep that for the second is a step in the right direction. Also, unlike the first game, in which we had loadable levels for each region, the whole world will be interconnected, allowing players to see the world from any point rather than staring at a "skybox".
As for the sound, I can't really say much about the sound. I figure it's going to have the same type of sound just like from the first game, So I'm hoping that we get some quality sound and music in this game.
In a sense, is this game worth getting? I say YES!!! I fully believe that this is going to be one of the best games of the year. What makes me really believe in this is the fact that this is one of the few shooters in this day and age (other than Battlefield 3) that I would really take the time to play. It's story and gameplay elements are what will keep me enthralled at the experience. I give this game a HYPE IT!!!!
Verdict: Hype It!!!!Read full story...
