"The Iceman" is giving the people what they want

Tokido shortly after the release of AE started a blog about his battles, matchups and how he feels about players in general. In this blog he gives us some nice insight on how players are doing and what he does in matches. Also you do not need an account to comment and Tokido replies to many of the comments, like what he thinks about Daigo "too aggresive" and that his favorite tea is Oolong. Also he writes the blog mostly in English! Shortly after creating his blog he has also started a youtube account, recording some of his matches and other people's matches.  Enjoy guys and leave a comment about what you think.

My idea on adding competitive multiplayer to Bulletstorm

Cliffy B and a bunch of other Jimmy's on the Bstorm site explain how having pvp in Bulletstorm would ruin the game and wouldn't be fair, or if you take out those ridiculous elements that "it wouldn't be Bulletstorm anymore". How about go fuck yourselves?

Bulletstorm doesn't have pvp, plain and simple. Members on Bulletstorm site a long with CliffyB say things like "It wouldn't be fun if you got leashed or hit with a flail gun, if we take those things out it wouldn't be Bulletstorm, it would lose its flare" blah blah blah. No, I got great fucking ideas on how you dick tits could make a excellent PVP segment and still be Bulletstorm.

WEAPONS-

Okay douche bags, plenty of weapons can still be used. The only restriction is CHARGED SHOTS, since they are overkill and alter bodies of enemies. The one charged shot that can be kept is the bouncer, as long as damage is sincerely nerfed. Weapons in general that can be used are bouncer, flail gun (the npc use it on us in single player, how about making the ammo capacity and damage lower and adding it to MP, or not at all, minor loss), Carbine, the pistol, sniper rifle (WITHOUT the controlled bullet, lol), that huge screw thing (with considerate damage nerf, keeping it as a long range weapon), and the boneduster is fine the way it is. This weapon set is already good enough, on top of that the Minigun could probably be some sort of rare spawn, or purchased with a RIDICULOUS amount of skill points (which I will explain how to integrate later).

BOOT AND LEASH MECHANICS /DROPKITS(or not)-

Big complaint is that leash and boot won't fit into pvp, wrong broseph, it can. In almost any shooter what do we have when we are low on ammo or close range? Melee. The boot would hit like a melee attack plain and simple. Also in single player there are plenty of explosive barrels and shit to kick around, why not have it in MP? Of course it won't explode the enemy into pieces, but just cause a considerable amount of splash damage. The Leash could be used in two ways. 1 way is to get creative with how you use barrels and other movable shit like dropped weapons for ammo (just like in single player) a second way is drop kits. Every game-mode of Bstorm has a form drop kits as a reward. I say they should be scattered around the MP maps, and you will have points based on your kills, allowing you to get more ammo or whatever. Also obviously no Thumper would be allowed.

HOW THE MAPS AND PLAYERS WORK-

Don't have to be that big. 10 man FFA or 5v5 TDM would be fine ( or more like a real shooter would be cool too) The co-op online maps are tiny pansy arenas, of course we would need something a little more open. Which shouldn't be hard, the single player has many of areas with hills, staircases and plenty of room to roam around and find cover. Also we should be able to integrate our custom characters from Anarchy to this mode (no brainer). The run function is fine and so is the sliding, damn sliding under a bridge while other people are shooting at you would be bad ass nice.

So yea, this has been on my mind for a bit and it does seem reasonable while still keeping the specialness of Bulletstorm. I don't know why they made a AMAZING game (gameplay wise and graphics AND content wise) but gave it almost no replay value, not even campaign co-op or ANY form of split screen. On top of that, the netcode for online co-op is worse than KOF 12, yea, that bad, or at least it is for every PS3 user.. Got a weird feeling some sort of douchey expensive PVP dlc could come out in months... or not and they will continue reh-tarded anarchy/echo/leash dlc. Tell me what you guys think, please feel free to add on any ideas, I'd love to see what you guys can come up with. Don't be a jimmy.

Sony "Welcome Back" Program Now Active...With Errors -Update-

The long awaited Welcome Back Program is here, a long with some FAQ.

A while back Sony announced we would get free stuff in the Welcome Back Program This was a bunch of stuff from PS Home, 2 free games for PS3 and PSP and 30 days free of PS+.  Also, they have lame free movies for the weekend and tons of bonuses for PS+ people. This is good and all but there are CONSTANT errors going on within the Store, I don't think many people can get a hold of these games at the moment. Some people can't get inside the store, others booted out, some download the game but it isn't showing up and a few other problems that need to be kinked out.

Inside look at Skullgirls Cerebella and Filia Gameplay

Skullgirls may be more technical than you think.

In this video uploaded by http://www.youtube.com/user/TheBBVlog we get the lowdown on Cerebella, a grappler and Filia an all around fighter. The guy explains her moves and what she can do, the games mechanics really do sound appealing. The game also has Push Blocking, instant air dashes and Delayed Hyper Combos. He also displays more of the Infinite Detention system that allows you to burst, and calling assists to do unblockables (hitting low and high) I'm still not down with the art style, but it may grow on me. So I took notes on what he says, check it out and the video below.

Cerebella

- Close Command grab

-Far reach command grab that whiffs when close (can follow up with it)

-Anti air command grab (can combo into it)

-Air to ground command grab

-Air fierce clap (like Hulk) that can also glide.

-Slow-ass super armor run that can cross up, attack or stop

-Overhead command grab..that OTG'S...and staggers (so you can combo after it) Most OP thing I've heard of

-Rush punch like Makotos

- Supers with HUGE startup, but no startup upon Delayed Hyper Combo (DHC)

- can flick away projectciles shot at her (Just like potempkin in GuiltyGear)

 

Filia

 

 

-uppercuts

-ground projectile drills (Exactly like Eddie in Guilty Gear)

- Rolling attack that can combo (similiar to Felicia)

-Air grab, that can be comboed into air roll

-Decent supers that can be comboed into, one is a uppercut

-sliding move that causes knockdown

-can special / normal into super, even if it whiffs!

Amazing Street Fighter Art by GENZOMAN

Deviant art user GENZOMAN is well known for his astonishing Warcraft pictures (one was even featured on the cover of GamePro Magazine)but he also has amazing Street Fighter pictures as well.

Had to share these as soon as I saw them. Definitely enjoying this art style more than most SF fanart. Besides SF and Warcraft, he has some anime and game related work. He also had loads of original stuff which is pretty awesome. Could it be true? Check out the picture and decide.

Was browsing Twitter and commentator/player/Lawyer Ultra David posted a link showing Strider and Frank West on a team. The pic also shows a part of Striders body. Looks real, just as "real" as that Bison pic (and that was very convincing). Are these characters soon to come? Or is it all fake , even back to the Bison picture? I HOPE Frank is in this game *_* , been jonesing for him to return since TvC!

Details on No More Heroes: Red Zone Edition

A new No More Heroes game...but doesn't really include new stuff. One of those hybrid 1.5 types of things.

No More Heroes is probably my favorite Wii game, and the most ridiculous story I've ever played. Unfortunately when NMH2 came around, my fan-boy hype sort of died down, and bonus didn't care for the PS3 version with Move.

But what slightly caught my intrest again was No More Heroes : Red Zone Edition. This is NMH 1 with "Z Rating" which is like, super adult content in Japan, 5 bosses from NMH2, 10 missions left out of the Wii version, Online rankings and A boss battle mode (Which I was so depressed the first one didn't have) , ps move compatible and "Forbidden View Mode" which seems like looking at the women in the game...naked.

Being a huge fan of the first one, this is exciting. I may go out and buy the second one cheap and used to get back into it. The only downside is that the game in Japan is Yen 3990, which is about $42, but a lot of time the games are more expensive after sent to the U.S and not a direct conversion of pricing. the game is to be released July 21. Any No More Heroes Fans here at Gouki? Or peple who were intrested but didn't have a Wii and didn't want to buy the PS3 port? I see this as a 1.5 version, leave a comment on what you think about the series and this upcoming release :D

Zero snapback glitch brings easy Time-Outs in MvC3

Once again, and again and again, Desk shows us that MVC3 is full of some pretty bad glitches, many causing timeouts.

The Zero Glitch is simple, when using Zero's shadow move while doing Sougenmu, use snapback. The enemy and the assist have to be comboed together though, and you need 2 bars. The enemy never comes out, if you have a life lead...you win by time out. With all of the glitches Desk, and Renic have been finding (with much more to come by Desk), this game is pretty broken. Like, these glitches are fairly easy to pull off, even online. Fortunately someone hasn't abused it against me yet, what do you guys think of all of this?

Moon Diver DLC is cheap, with a new characters and game mode

99 cent DLC for the win? See if it's appealing to you.

First DLC pack for Moon Diver has been released. This first DLC pack gives you the 5th playable character "Silence", the black ninja on the title screen / mini-boss. He is the best character stat-wise, so a dollar for him isn't too bad.

The other part of the DLC is a new score attack mode called " Flow". In Flow the screen scrolls sideways as you kill enemies, making the game even more of a rush.

 

2 other DLC's that aren't released yet have info:

DLC#2- New Score Attack levels "orbit" and "Rage"  Screen scrolls up April 27nth.

DLC#3-  Chain Kill Mode , See how many kills you get before your hp runs out. To Be Dated

 

For a dollar, a new character isn't bad. These added game modes are not too interesting since I'm not into Score/time attack stuff. But the price makes it feel alright. What do you guys think of the DLC? Leave your thoughts in a comment, don't be a jimmy.

SSX Deadly Descents still isn't due till January 2012, but that doesn't stop them from announcing super early pre-orders. First off, we have the divided retailer bonuses. Pre Order from:

Origin- receive Elise’s Elite snowboard and a bonus boost.

Best-Buy - receive Zoe’s Elite snowboard and a bonus boost

A long with most of the cast, he got a  HUGE makeover.

As excited as I was to hear that there will be some sort of bonus, it also feels pretty lame. Eddie (who is usually a regular character) will be a Legendary Rider, meaning he is un-lockable. Also Legendary Boards were a pain to get, even just for one rider, but that is what kept up a lot of the motivation to play and earn more stuff. Not sure what the bonus boost is, but pre-ordering for an un-lockable character and a super-board that isn't really necessary....feels a bit lackluster.

Everything has a bundle pack these days! I was really into Socom 2 back in the day. I have yet to try to early beta key for S4 (will get on it soon) but I'm sure it's gonna be sweet.  What makes this a bonus tempting offer is that I don't have eye cam or any Move/accesories whatsoever. Also what makes it even a bigger bonus is being able to use it on other games like Killzone 3 http://gouki.com/Story/Details/killzone-3-gun-peripherals-galore-which-will-you-choose. Pretty good deal for $150 considering this stuff seperately is around $220. The special bundle packs and pre-orders are really getting to me these days. Years ago I didn;t care but now I feel I HAVE TO pre-order stuff for extras. Many bundle packs haven't gotten my attention but this definately does....wink (that wink-face looks horrible,lol). Hope this beta key gets me back into SOCOM, I always enjoyed the tactical playstyle of the game instead of the run-of-the-mill shooter. Do you guys like this mighty bundle pack and stealthy missions? Are epic comeback factors in fighting games a good thing?

Some of the top fighting games have gone into a trend of having crazy comeback mechanics. This goes beyond your regular super move. Ultras, Red-Mode,Critical Counter and the controversial X-Factor have been relatively new. Are they good to have?

Fighting games takes lots of skill, dexterity and focus. Always generating lots of hype, fighting games are one of the most competitive genre of gaming. But what creates even more excitement are comebacks. Being almost dead and doing a epic combo or seemingly reading what your opponent will do and block/ counterattack to victory displays lots of skill or possibly luck. Comeback mechanics have been in fighting games forever but in the recent years with SF4, MvC3, Tekken 6 and KOF12 we have been exposed to some very interesting comeback factors that do require skill (some more than others) and have changed the outcome on many tournaments and casual play unexpectedly. Some of these mechanics seem reasonable, but a few may need to be altered a little. Here is what I think of them:
