August 11 has been a long time coming.
We've been stuck on the current patch of FFXIV for 5 months now (thanks, covid). Finally some more news about 5.3 is out and we have an official release date of August 11.
Patch 5.3, titled Reflections in Crystal, is scheduled to release on August 11th and is the ideal opportunity for new players to dive into FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida announced that alongside the streamlining of the main questline of the original game, A Realm Reborn™, players new to FINAL FANTASY XIV Online can enjoy an expanded free trial experience which will include all content from A Realm Reborn and the Heavensward™ expansion—including the entire Patch 3.x series—up to level 60. The freely playable content represents hundreds of hours of award-winning gameplay and story experiences and comes with no limit on playtime.
Additionally, all existing and future A Realm Reborn players will also have access to the complete Heavensward expansion and all the benefits it includes.
Patch 5.3 also features many trials and challenges for veteran players to enjoy, including the finale of the Shadowbringers™ storyline, the next chapter in the NieR-inspired YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse alliance raid series, and more.
Further details on content planned to launch in the Patch 5.3 series is outlined below:

A couple of pre-order bonuses for the new 3D Ocarina of time have surfaced. This is great news, but not if you live in the US
Australia's pre-order bonus is pretty cool. If you pre-order Ocarina of time 3D from EB games you get a working replica of links Ocarina with a music sheet to tell you how to play some songs. That's pretty cool. They're dubbing this the "Ocarina Edition" of the game.
And if that one doesn't strike your curiosity then listen to this. If you pre-order the game in Greece you get not one, not two, not even three, but FIVE pre-order bonuses! That's insane.
You get a LOZ Case for your 3DS, a LOZ keycahain, a hat, an ocarina (from what I've seen not as high of quality as the australian version), and a tin full of Deku tree seeds.
This video has also surfaced, and I'm not sure, but if I had to guess I'd say it's the greek version of the ocarina, it looks pretty cheap, but you do get all of that other stuff. Unfortunately it's not a youtube video so I can't embed it, but check out the link if you're interested.
Now those are pre-order deals. Forget those on disc DLC pre-orders. This is the kinda stuff I'm talking about. Now as far as I know there haven't been any pre-order deals announced for the US which sucks, but I'm keeping my eye out, and will let you know as soon as I hear something about it.
Go behind the scenes with Crytek and get an inside look at the brutal combat that awaits in Ryse: Son of Rome.
A new behind the scenes look at Ryse. I can't want to not play this game because I won't be buying an Xbone. ;)

A short Ifrit guide describing all of his moves and how to deal with them.
If you're new to MMO's or Final Fantasy this guide will breakdown the first boss you take on in game, Ifrit. Although he is the first major battle he does prove quite a challenge for beginners and will easily punish you if your party is reckless.
After a lengthy cut scene you will be thrown into the arena to take on the fire demon himself.
Bare in mind that as he is the first boss and your team mates may not understand the mechanics of the battles yet and may make the odd mistake, its always good to go over the battle plan before the fight, people will thank you for it.
Almost 7 minutes of video
This game always brings a major roster, who are you looking forward to playing again? Anyone you are dreading fighting again? How many of you have never played the series or have given up on it?
The backgrounds seem sub-par compaired to the rest of the stuff we've seen lately though.
Not to concerned with this one, but that doesn't mean I won't get it at some point.

Nobody even lists 3D Dot Game Heroes going on sale today. Same thing happened with Demon's Souls. Lost Planet 2, who? and other deals ...
Reipuerto picked up 3DDGH's today so ask him for his first impressions I'm not too excited to play that game. The same and even more so goes for Lost Planet 2, I hated the first one. I'll pass.
Deals don't look too hot this week Jimmy.Read full story...

A new trailer showing the offensive capabilities of the batmobile. Also the game has been delayed to 2015.
Wait, what? Didn't we just learn of this game a couple of months ago and get a release date? Slipping already? Damn.
Also, don't expect to see any of the actual game mode in this video. It's just a teaser. I wouldn't even have posted it if it hadn't contained release date news. See you in 2015.
15 Classes, 110 Skill Trees?! Count me in! The graphics look good and if you're a fan of the dungeon crawling, then you might want to check this game out during the beta.
