Demon's Souls was a huge success by From Software. Looking to capitalize on this new "Extreme Difficulty Genre" Dark Souls is a spiritual successor. Now you can hunt down other people online as the Black Knight with a new gameplay feature. E3 2011
Well I hated Demon's Souls Jimmy there's no denying that. Back then though I had no idea exactly what the game was. I played it, shit I reviewed it. (Demon’s Souls is Stupid’s Shits) Rei Puerto talks it up all the time, not sure if he ever beat it though. One guy I saw beat it, had that famous speed run on YouTube. I'm calling tool assisted, but it is unconfirmed.
This video is from E3 2011, some nubfarm is playing the Dark Knight. The first parts are just to get you warmed up. The game looks and sounds amazing. Now that I know what Dark Souls is and how it's supposed to be played, I still don't want to play it. But for you Jimmys who are into this stuff, check out this Exclusive E3 2011 Dark Souls Black Kinight Gameplay Off Screen Video.
With an hour long pre-E3 show, did gamers come out winning?
Yes we did! Konami made a head start in E3 today, or tonight depending on where you live, and the showed off some great news. Here's a review of their show.
They first began with video footage from the show and tease you at what's to come and who's going to talk. The first few minutes, Shiji Hirano, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, America, he gives his thanks for the many prayers and wishes of the events in Japan, from the earthquake and tsunami.
Hirano-san then tells us that Hideo Kojima will be providing lectures on the Video Game Designers of the future in California. Konami will be launching events though out the world! Hirano-san announces Frogger 3DS and more DLC for Castlevania.
Konami then takes us to Tokyo, Japan to see how Metal Gear Solid 3DS is going. It's great! You'll be able to use the 3DS's camera to take pictures from the real world, and use it as in-game camouflage! Also, if you're climbing a tree, for example, you might fall if you tilt the 3DS! So play straight!

Exclusive Gameplay footage and interview. Gouki.com wanted to tell THQ everything about what we do with SmackDown VS Raw 2011. We've got a helluva story to tell from inside the THQ booth at E3 2011 with Dev Talk about WWE '12.
Anybody that has checked out Gouki.com certainly knows we are big fans of SmackDown VS Raw and just huge wrestling fans over all. We've successfully recreated each WWE Pay-Per-View since Survivor Series 2010 with WWE SmackDown VS Raw 2011. We have simulated over 60 matches, something we refer to as the Madden Bowl of wrestling. We film the matches before the PPV and both wrestlers are AI controlled. We have downloaded, created and edited over 100 Superstars and Divas in the game.
We know what want in WWE '12 to make that aspect of the game for us even more enjoyable. Personally I say, watching the simulated matches are sometimes just as good as watching the actual live match.
Here's what happened. I had just finished my Konami "Booth Tour" with some Canadian chick with a bunch of FAQ sheets. More on that in another story. I believe BatRastered and FnJimmy we finishing up watching Aliens. I stormed the THQ booth looking to meet people I knew actually did shit there. Neal Pabon, I talked to that guy, what up to him. The press/media counter don't give a shit about nobody without an appointment. There were no goodies and the lady gave me a business card with an FTP for their media kit, when I had just saw her hand some Jimmy the full on disc version press kit.
I stumbled back over to the WWE '12 wall to see if BatRastered and FnJimmy had arrived yet. I took a drink out the flask while less people were looking and just started to play WWE '12. The first guy that came up to me didn't seem to know much of the game. When I told him what we did with it, he didn't seem to understand or maybe he didn't care. I fucked off and tried to talk to more Jimmys in suits. I couldn't find the nuab who I suspect does the Twitter account. He's given me a few shout outs and I just wanted to say thanks. No success.
Back to the WWE '12 section where I scouted out the other possible dev working the section. At E3 you really have to dig deep and ask questions, most of the time you could just be playing with a random PR guy hired that week to demo a product for you based on a script. I definitely did not want that to happen with WWE'12, I wanted to talk to somebody seriously and share my experiences with the game and offer 1 or 2 of my 100 plus suggestions. That's when I met Jason Vandiver, his business card is official and it says Designer on it.
Jason knew what was up with the game and understood what we did with it.
I may say things that I wasn't supposed to talk about. I hope Jason doesn't get in trouble.
Jason told me that there would be 2 new create a "Something." I know, not much to go on. SDvR2011 already has a lot of create a "something." FnJimmy says it could be the create a belt. I disagree, I believe one will be something like create a show. My thought is I would love to just program 6-7 matches in a row and then just watch them as the AI played it out. You can kinda set that up now, but an easier way is needed. Create a backstage promo or something, I don't know man, the game does a lot already.
Then we played a match, I chose Albero Del Rio and he drove out on stage in a fancy car. Just like the Eddie Guerrero intro FnJimmy has attached to him in our simulations. It all looked great. Jason chose Randy Orton. I don't know how to play the game and I don't know if he thought I was full of shit at this point, but I had no clue what to do with the actual controller. I just watch this game. So he beat the shit out of me and showed me one of the coolest new features.
Super wake ups. A super wake up for example is when your oppenet is on the ground, but needs to be standing for you to do your finisher. Jason leans forward and shouts "Watch this!" The game cuts away into a taunt animation and Randy Orton slams to the ground and throws his little temper tantrum. AlBerto Del Rio who is still knocked out cold in the center of the ring, shoots to his feet and Randy Orton stands up and RKO's him. Awesome. Very smooth, going to make the end of matches way more exciting.
Jason wasn't done, he picks Alberto Del Rio up again and starts beating on him and building his super bar again. This time he showed me Randy Orton's punt. I said "Something that I'd like to see is that when you select end a match with a finisher that the AI still pins, like in WWE All Stars." Jason said not to worry that was added.
BatRastered and FnJimmy finally had arrived. I pulled FnJimmy to the side and had him play the game while I filmed this off screen footage. Now THQ probably don't want me to play this, but I don't have any other gameplay footage. Both press kits I checked only had the live action Randy Orton trailer. You can see Vintage SDvR2011 AI in this clip where Randy Orton sets up Alberto Del Rio for an announcer table smash, but the Randy Orton can't grab on to do the move and, you know what, I'm not even sure which one FnJimmy was controlling. Just watch the clip.
You can hear the guy at the end of the video offer me some HD footage on a disc, it wasn't there sorry brotha. Send me some and I want another interview. Thanks.
After that part we busted out the official Gouki.com microphone and FnJimmy did his first ever official interview. With himself. Check it out.
We wrapped it up and got four amazing contacts. We love this game franchise, SDvR series is a game that makes sense to come out every year.
Thanks to Jason
Thanks to Narbeh
Thanks to Cory Ledesma
Thanks to Neal Pabon and thanks to everybody at THQ.
Leave your comments below Jimmys. Thanks for reading and watching Gouki.com!

A quick visit to the Majesco booth at E3 2011. BloodRayne Betrayal is for XBLA and PSN.
While at E3 -now almost a month ago, I can't believe it- I stopped by the Majesco booth to see BloodRayne Betrayal. I met with Michael Herbster who also worked on last years Batman: The Brave and the Bold video games. Mike was cool and I was in a rush to another appointment and only had a few minutes with Majesco. Mike explained the game to me and showed me some of his moves in the game.
BloodRayne Betrayal is a hack and slash XBLA/PSN game. It's $15 and honestly that's a little steep. There's only a few levels and even less boss fights. The game tries to give you replay value with a scoring system for each map, but still $15? Check out the video, wait hold on, let me show you something more interesting.

Don't get killed by the moving booth walls...
So there's a long countdown nearing completion in the Activision booth as FnJimmy and myself are walking by. The crowd seems excited so we stop to check it out as there's only a minute and a half left. Once the timer hits zero, the lights dim and a screen that wraps around the inside of the booth starts to lower.
This is where the idiots show themselves, as they think they are going to be trapped out of the booth and not see the super awesome MW3 trailer. Look, a lot of stupid shit happens at E3, but Activision isn't about to drop a wall on your heads if you're not looking. The screens lowered to about 8 feet off the floor. And then, speaking of stupid shit, another countdown starts. Five minutes this time. As it counts down, you can see the timeline of events from previous MW games on the wrap around screen. This is all bullshit, and I don't even start recording until the timer is at a minute.
Now the trailer starts being shown, different shit is happening all around you, I tried to get as much of it as I could, but I don't have a 360 degree camera. Most of the footage had already been seen in previous trailers anyway. In the end, nothing earth shattering. MW3 = World War 3... yup.

FnJimmy gets a demo with ITSP and Michel Gagne in the Microsoft booth at E3 2011.
If you like Metroid-vania style gaming, but don't like the platform jumping aspect of it, I've got a game for you. Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet takes the single world, upgrade yourself to reach new areas and back track to explore old areas in further detail concept and applies it to a spaceship flying around this world. With a Limbo-esque art style and an arcade price tag, this one is looking like a winner.
FnJimmy got some hands on time with the game and, right in front of designer Michel Gagne, proceeded to crash it. Unfortunately we weren't filming when that happened. :( Here's FnJimmy's offical take to soften the blow.
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet will be released exclusively for the XBOX Live Arcade on August 3, 2011 for 1200 MSP.
Not much details but still enough to get my attention.
The game will be here sometime next year, that is 90% of the info we got. The other is that Jagex and Hasbro are teaming up. I know I'll be waiting on more details, anyone else?
Don't be a Jimmy! Are you wanting all real characters? Customization? Or just not to be bother with it?
we finally get a taste of what the next installment of the soul calibur franchise will look like.
In terms of looks it doesn't look that much different from SC4 but with a 2012 release date im sure it will be more polished and crisp. It also seems as though the characters are using some sort of special moves maybe channeling their inner street fighter?
so what do you guys think are you excited to about the 5th installment of the king of weapon based fighters?
let us know what you think and don't be a jimmy.

Looks like the E3 trailer got leaked early.
his trailer doesn't have any gameplay, but it looks pretty cool. I'm not sure how it's going to play out, but I'm starting to think Left 4 Dead. Four person squad shooter with zombies, but hopefully this one will be better. I'm not the biggest Resident Evil fan, but I definitely enjoy the games, and this one is looking fantastic so far.
Unfortunately the video got set to private, but here's a link to it.
