Do you like DoA? Have a PS3? Is it hooked to a 3D tv? If so I have some good news for you.
It's been a while since the last Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball gave you jimmys carpal tunnel, but this summer you'll get another chance.
Team Ninja has decided it was time to get the hype machine going for what might be this summers hottest biggest release. They have teamed up with Sony to put this on the PS3 and make the most of the 3D possibility. They already put out a DoA game on the 3DS so you can just consider that a beta test.
As you play you can again build relationships with your favorite players by giving them gifts and hanging out.
And with a little research I was able to find a Japanese sight that had a screen shot of the Collector's Edition bonus. At around $100 you can have your very own set of figures from the game. As well as a code for an unreleased DLC pack.
They have promised to have the most complete 3D experience you've had in a game yet. So real in fact that they have a new control for you to get your hands on.
So what do you think jimmy? Are you hyped? Will you drop the extra cash for the collectors edition? Are you pissed that it's April Fools Day and I made it up?
I'm guessing you feel kind of like that.

Have you ever wanted to battle it out as some of the biggest names in the Square Enix roster?
Final Fantasy has been an icon for many gamers world wide, we have put countless hours into the games, and we still come back for more. Dissidia 012 is a prequel to the previous PSP game, and it will let you fight as your favorite characters.
Need I say more?
Ok how about this.
and I guess this wouldn't hurt..
The game will be here March 22, so what do you need to know?
The roster? Ok. The Original cast, Warrior of Light (Final Fantasy), Firion (FF2), Onion Knight (FF3), Cecil Harvey (FF4), Bartz Klauser (FF5), Terra Branford (FF6), Cloud Strife (FF7), Squall Leonhart (FF8), Zidane Tribal (FF9), Tidus (FF10), Shantotto (FF11), Cosmos (Dissidia), Garland (Final Fantasy), The Emporer (FF2), Cloud of Darkness (FF3), Golbez (FF4), Exdeath (FF5), Kefka Palazzo (FF6), Sephiroth (FF7), Ultimecia (FF8), Kuja (FF9), Jecht (FF10), Gabranth (FF12), Chaos (Final Fantasy). Pretty good right?
But then you add a few new ones, Kain Highwind (FF4), Gilgamesh (FF5), Tifa Lockhart (FF7), Laguna Loire (FF8), Yuna (FF10), Prishe (FF11), Vaan (FF12), Lighning (FF13) and how about add Aerith as a support character if you play the demo.
You get a Fighter an a Single Player Story mode, so it's got plenty to offer.
I wish it was on the PS3, but the PSP will do just fine.
Will you be picking it up? Who will you play as first? Don't be a Jimmy.

Here the hackers go again
I try not to listen to roster leaks to often but after what happened with MVC3 I listening a little more.
http://shoryuken.com/content/rumor-full-mortal-kombat-9-roster-revealed-3855/ here's where I heard it.
They say the demo got hacked and they pulled the roster, might be believable. Ed Boon did say they had something special for the 360 users and I'm not seeing anything here. Maybe there are still some secrtets.

After a while being away from Gouki.com I have returned to find a challenge, I must somehow choose a team from a roster of the stars of Street Fighter and Tekken. Wish me luck.
The death of my pc has kept me from being able to post on here since November, but with a Laptop ready to go I return to the site to do some catching up, and what do I find? Gouki.com has another kickass giveaway going on. And this time it was for Street Fighter X Tekken. All it takes is write a story about the team you want to play as, easy right. Wrong. As I look over the roster I realize that a team of two characters just isn't big enough.
The truth is from the Tekken side I have a few favorites, Jin and Kazuya are at the top of the list but you can't overlook Yoshimitsu or King.
If they had the right Jin He'ld be on the team for sure.
I just couldn't decide. So I decided to check out the Street Fighter side. And it just made things worse. Ibuki felt like a sure thing, at first.
But as I looked at the list there were just to many great characters to choose from. Akuma (Gouki) is always high on the list
And you just can't over look Cammy...
This just keeps getting more complicated. I'm sure all use them all in various combinations until I find the right mix, but I still have to start somewhere. So I just keep watching videos and reminiscing about all the fun I've had with them in the past. And then it hit me. What better team could I start with? How was it not obvious from the start?
Poison and Juri! Juri is one of the craziest female characters to ever put the digital beatdown on anyone. And Poison can throw down with the best of them with the added bonus of distracting your opponent as the wonder if she's packing heat. The quest was over! For now at least. Until I have a chance to try the characters out and really get into the mechanics of the game (including how much I suck with various characters) I can't be sure what my final team will be, but I do have a place to start.
Best of luck to all of you who enter. And remember don't be a Jimmy!
And just for the Jimmys...
Details on the first DLC pack.
The price is set to be 400MS points or 5.00 on PSN, not but but what are they offering? Some new costumes (I know what a surprise), Shadow Mode will be there, Jill and Shuma are in (sorry if that was the only reason you picked up the S.E.).
If this will be how they roll out the DLC it should add value to getting it, but it feels like stuff that should have been in game. I know plenty of you have bought the costumes for SFIV but what happened to that stuff being unlockable in the game? Am I the only one who was proud of dumping in Hours just to be the only person you knew with Zack's Alien costume in DOA 3? I know that there is a group of people who want it all just handed to them, but that was part of the fun in beating the game. Who's getting the hook-up with pack 1? Thor, Captain America and Iron Man on the Marvel side, and Dante, Chris Redfield and Ryu on the Capcom side, not a ton, but hey they need the money right. But the Patriot skin for Iron Man, now they are mixing characters. Maybe we should expect an Iceman / Silver Surfer after all.
To say I have mixed feelings would be an understatement, but in this case I think Shadow Mode alone is worth the $5.00. We'll just have to wait for round 2 to see if they are going to milk it or really have something to add to the game.
Don't be a jimmy. You going to buy it, pissed, or really just don't care? Let's hear it.

Well my prize made it today and I just wanted to say thanks.
Well the week is over time to get on PSN.... nope. What else can I do? Hmm a package for me. Who the hell is Erik Schmidt? wait Las Vegas. Hell Yeah it's here. BlazBlue Calamity Trigger Limited Edition, thanks Gouki.com .
Of course I have to start with Story mode, and it starts with a video. Some scientists talking, experiment going wrong, then something badass in space shoots a blazer. So far story looks good. I go for Taokaka first and lots more story. She is amusing in a clueless way. Her story is centered on saving her village of cat people. But as far as her fighting style I'm not to impressed. I end up being shot home in a cannon. But story mode gives you choices and different endings so I'll try her again later.
Who should I play as next? There is a guy named Bang, decision made. To start he is trying to help out some villagers as the place burns. After a lot of story I get to the first fight, not to impressed here either. Even without knowing much about the game these fights are pretty easy. And I get my first distortion Finish against Jin. And I finish his story running away.
I guess I'll try Ragna since everyone is looking for him. His story starts with fire then he loses his arm. So far I've been more into the stories than the fighting. And he meets a vampire girl, I know who I want to play as next. His fighting style seems a lot more fun. There is still hope for this to be a good game. 1 out of 3 with 12 total characters, chances are good I'll like a few more. I meet Hakumen again, and hope that I can play as him. And I take my first loss. Take a second shot at it and I get by. And then he dine and dashes? yeah looks like I'll need to do some time in story mode to see what else is going on. I think it's great to get into a fighter with story, but time to try Arcade mode now.
Hakumen is selectable here, so that's where I'll start. And just a few matches in I get my first perfect. I do fine all the way to the 9th fight with V-13 then I get my ass handed to me. Second time around i scrape by with a win though. Then Ragna goes down easy enough and I get a little story at the end. Not bad. Another character that's worth playing, but I can tell I need to hit training to really get the most out of the game.
The artwork is well done for the characters and stages, the voice acting is a little cheesy, and the music was pretty good. Overall it seems like the game is worth putting some time into. And I suspect I'll pick up the other BlazBlue once I finish this. I don't think it's as fun as Guilty Gear, but it's still a good game. Thanks again Gouki.com

Have you been waiting to see what Sony was going to offer for a month of no psn?
After the disater with PSN Sony said you would get some free games for waiting it out. Here are the lists.
Little Big Planet
Super Stardust HD
Wipeout HD + Fury
Little Big Planet PSP
Mod Nation Racers
You get to pick 2 for each list that applies to you. They will be offered for 30 days and they are the full game no strings attatched. You also get 30 days of Playstation Plus, 60 if you already had it. On Playstation Home you get 100 items, an alien casino, and a free game.
Does this make it all better? I'm not impressed, but it is about what I was expecting.

I was ready to pass on the next DLC until I saw the Zombie level..
Let's get right to what you want to see.
I could have done with out the extra DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops, then I saw what they had planned for the zombie mode. To be able to play as Robert Englund had me sold, but then you add Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Danny Trejo. It'll be out for Xbox 360 May 3, and PS3 will see it about a month later, and again it'll be $15. So now if you have both DLC packs you're looking at around $100 put into this game. Hopefully we'll have PSN back by then.
I know most of you are done with Call of Duty, but does this make you want to play it any? Let's Hear what you think.
Here are the Achievements
So far these look like better new levels than what we got for first strike. But 360 users are playing it now and for us waiting for the PS3 release and for PSN even.
But I think the rest of you are waiting for the good stuff.
Call of the Dead
Robert Englund had me sold.
And if you want more shots http://www.joystiq.com/screenshots/call-of-duty-black-ops-call-of-the-dead/4089550/#/8
- Stand-in (35 Points, Everyone): In Call of the Dead, send the crew to Paradise in solo or co-op.
- Ensemble Cast (45 Points, Everyone): In Call of the Dead, send the crew to Paradise in co-op.
- Stuntman (20 Points, User of the Weapon): In Call of the Dead, make a zombie explode using the V-R11.
- Shooting on Location (20 Points, User of the Weapon): In Call of the Dead, kill 10 zombies with one Scavenger shot from over 100 feet away.
- Quiet on the Set (30 Points, Everyone): In Call of the Dead, cut the lights on the Director.
With a game like this it's all in the details, and if you're anything like me you're waitnig for them all.
You have to respect loyalty, they will be keeping the main series on the PS3. SOUHEI NIIKAWA also mentions animating the characters as being a focus since Disgaea 3, that makes this even better. TENPEI SATO says there are 40 to 50 tracks this time around, and with any Jrpg you know the music pretty well after a few hundred hours of game play.
I can't say it enough, I LOVE this series, if you haven't tried it you need to. There is some solid Final Fantasy Tactics gameplay, some incredible characters, a story worth following, and more jokes than you'll know what to do with.
Best line ever "He knows my secret weakness, sexy big breasted women, but flat chested girls like you have no effect on me." Smack!!! I'll never get tired of it.
So lets hear what you think Jimmy. And if you find new info please, please, please let me know.
It's nice to know I'm not the only one who wants Darkstalkers 4.
I remember the first time I saw the Darkstalkers select screen as a pre-teen boy.
I had to try it. A fighting game with monsters and it played like Street Fighter. My quarters were gone and I couldn't wait to play again.
So of course I had to have it when it hit the Playstaion. Demitri Maximoff, Jon Talbain, Victor von Gerdenheim, Lord Raptor, Morrigan Aensland, Anakaris, Felicia, Oboro Bishamon, Rikuo and Sasquatch were now at the house.
And the countless blisters that followed were no suprise.
And then the Saturn got round two, but this time I had a pair of joysticks and finally had the arcade feel at home. And the roster grew, we got Donovan Baine and Hsien-Ko plus this time around Huitzil and Pyron were playable.
Enter four more new characters. Jedah, Lilith, Q-Bee and B. B. Hood were brought in now we had 18 playable characters.
Then with the exception of of PSP port we had nothing for the main series. The Vs Capcom games kept hope alive that we would see a new game but it never hapened. And now rumors start about a possible follow up. But "I would like to make," and "we are making," aren't the same.
I'ld love to see a new game and with fighters making a comeback I don't think it's out of the question, but Capcom needs to see the support from the fans. But instead of whining and pleading lets give it some real thought.
What would you like to see in number 4? Some new charactes? Great idea, what kind? On-line play? To keep up with all the rest of the competion they almost have to. Anything else? Let's hear it.
Don't be a Jimmy! You want it? Hate the idea? Speak your mind (even if you're wrong) what are you waiting for?

The Demo is almost here... a week before the game.
Now we know when to expect it.
Who's going to be there? What will you be playing it on?

Disgaea has been DragonKiss 83's favorite strategy rpg series. The characters in the first were the best, but DragonKiss 83 thinks that #4 is giving the entire series a run for the money.
Nippon Ichi created an awesome legacy with the first game of the series and I've been hooked ever since. Laharl Quickly became one of my favorite video game characters. He was joined by Etna and Flonne and the three have been back in each game.
Disgaea 2 had a decent story, but the characters weren't as strong. Disgaea 3 came to the PS3 and had an interesting story but your main character was annoying as hell. And then we get Disgaea 4, your main character is still a bit annoying, but the story was much better. And your secondary characters were the key to it.
DESCO was probably one of my favorite characters in the game, she was a weapon built to be a final boss, but that went wrong so she eventually ends up on your team. Fuka refuses to except that she is dead and convinces herself it's all just a dream. But all of the characters bring some impressive moves into the mix. And your standard character classes have been revamped. Back in are the dragon and nekomanta (cat-lady) but the Angel is still MIA. Some of the other classes have been switched around but in my opinion it was for the best.
As far as the gameplay goes most of it follows the standard set up you have had before. The Item world will let you choose your path for building your innocents (boost the items) or the item itself. When you get the chance to have your own pirate ship you can customize it instead of just taking it from the pirates you defeat. And there are some online interactions to take advantage of PSN, but so far I'm not using them to much. Instead of the classworld from the last game you get a cam-pain room (think of a battle map) and you get these icons that have different effects on your team depending on the placement.
Without to many spoilers lets get into the story. Your main character Valvatorez is a former Tyrant but has been busted down to a prinny instructor. Fenrich is his servant and a werewolf, although only one of his moves really ever shows anything for it. When the prinnys disappear you go on a quest to save them. Along the way you find out that something is off with the corrupterment (government) and decide to fix it. You collect sidekicks as you go and they each have their own reasons for joining you. But as you make your way through the game they start to develop bonds that join them and bring you some comedy. The story wraps up nicely and covers the back story and loose ends as you go. I'm just now getting into the extra maps and story after the main story and collecting the characters as I go. I managed to get through the game with minimal level grinding and most of it was done in the item world to build them up and find new stuff. About 70 hours in the game and I can see a ton more ahead of me since I want to see the full epilog and all the endings.
Disgaea 4 is a BUY ME if you own a PS3 and enjoy strategy rpgs like Final Fantasy Tactics or anything along those lines.
If you pick up the game feel free to add me and I'll even send you some items to help you out.
Don't be a jimmy! Are you playing it? Plan to get it? Let's hear it.

I just came across the story and thought some of you might enjoy.
Anime girls + photography = probably not comming to the U.S.
[Editor's Note: Video was removed from YouTube.]
I think this would be huge with the right group, and in Japan it might not look so out of place. We did have that Playboy game that was along the same lines, but anime kind of ends up in a special category.
But it did get me thinking about all of the stuff that doesn't make it here. We miss shows, games, movies, and music. Given how fast people are able to find just about anything what is it that draws all these lines in the sand?
I myself watch subbed anime and movies and have found a lot of great stuff. Then I look at the total crap that is available here everywhere you look. Jersey Shore is a great example, or how about the real Housewives? I don't think I have any need to interfere in other peoples shit, but it really makes no sense to me.
Sorry to go on, but I think we have missed lots of great stuff, look at what happened with the Dragon Quest games and Final Fantasy. Not that Instant Brain is on that level, but it will most likely be one of the countless games that will never hit our shores.

There is another PC MMO that is offering a free Beta.
Official site http://edeneternal.aeriagames.com/
They also have a contest to win and Alien Ware laptop on games radar.
I'm not that into PC games, but so far I'm having fun with this. You start as one of 4 human classes and as you level up you unlock more classes. Basic RPG stuff really. The story starts with you waking up and not knowing who you are (such a new idea) and as you meet NPCs the will send you around doing them favors to help kick start your memory. The comabat system is pretty basic, you left click the enemies you see walking around to start fighting and the you can use your nimber keys for spells or abilities.
The game isn't breaking any molds, but it is a fun way to kill some time. If you are a MMO fan you should check it out. If not it's free so you might want to try it anyway jimmy.

I've been waiting to be able to play as some of my favorite characters and this time it's an action game instead of a basic fighter. Let the Hype begin!
It's coming to the US in August!
This takes place during the Arancar arc. You will have 21 characters to play as and that is also giving you 2nd releases for the Arancar. Even better this isn't just a fight game, it's an action game. You can upgrade your characters using a sphere grid. And even unlock new abilities. I actually downloaded a Japanese demo for this over a month ago and it is a short chunk of a level, but it was a ton of fun. I was even going to import it until I saw this. The easiest thing to compare it to would be Dynasty Warriors. You run around and kill hollows and eventually Arancars. And in the demo you are Ichigo in Bankai, but in the full game you will be able to play as characters like Rukia, Toshiro, and Ulquiorra, plus a bunch more. I am super hyped for this to finally be an English game on the PS3.
Are there any fans of the anime or manga here? Any of you play on the Wii, DS, or PSP? Who has imported any of the games? Maybe just want to try the game without being a fan of the show?
