Signups start at 5pm
Tournament begins at 6pm
• ‘Pokemon Style’ Double Elimination Team Bracket
• Player vs Player matches are FT1
• First team to completely eliminate the opposing team gets 1 set point
• First team to 2 set points wins the complete set
• Snap Back feature: Every team has one chance to force a player from the opposing team to play, replacing another team member.
o Snap back can only be used until both players choose and lock in all three characters.
o Each team can only use this once within the complete team set (FT2).
o Snap Back cannot be used if the opposing team only has one player left.
o In the event snap back is used against a team that won the previous set, the winning team order switches accordingly as per Marvel mechanics and is still locked in.
Team 1 has players A, B and C in that order. They won the previous set and are now leading 1-0.
Before the first match begins, team 2 decides to snap in player C.
Team 1’s order now becomes C, B, A. (A and C switched places)
o In the event snap back is used against a team that lost the previous set, only the player who is chosen for the snap back is forced to play—the rest of the team can still dynamically decide on their team order.
• Standard EVO rules apply, with the team-specific rules below:
o For the first set between two teams, there is no determined team order. Teams who lose a player can decide who to send next in between matches.
o The winning player must fight the next player of the opposing team until he/she loses or the other team is eliminated.
o Winner must keep exact same team (including assists), but may switch assists/team order via loading screen. (EVO 2K13 clarified rules) You CANNOT switch order via character select screen.
o For the second set onwards, the team who won the previous set is locked in the same character team and assists. Previous rule about character order applies.
• Tournament logistics
o All team signups must be completed before 6pm. NO Exceptions.
Partial team signups are allowed (ex. 2 people or less in a team). However, no benefits are given to teams who choose to do so:
• They must pay the full entry fee per team (venue is adjusted accordingly)
• They lose the set if all their members are defeated
o Online signups are not accepted. You must be at the venue to sign up.
o Team names can be fun but must be clean—no offensive or explicit team names please.
o If your team is called to a match and you do not have all players, you must play your match provided that:
If it is the first set or your team lost the previous set, the missing member of your team goes first. If he/she is not able to play within three minutes, he/she loses his/her round.
If it is the second set or later and your team won, your team keeps the same order, regardless of whether a player is missing or not. The three minute rule applies to this instance as well.
If a team is missing all its members and three minutes pass, they lose 1 set point.
• 1st: 75% of pot
• 2nd: 25% of pot
