Finally it's coming to America and all of you weirdo, horndog Jimmys can relax. Check out the Catherine USA Announcement Trailer
Atlus USA Announcement Trailer: Catherine
Catherine is an unprecedented exploration of the pleasures and horrors of love. As Vincent, a man recently succumbed to the irresistible beauty of the game's titular diversion players find themselves swept into a treacherous love triangle. Catherine's core themes--those of free will, of the delicate nature of relationships and the choices we make within them, marry perfectly with the intense, terror-filled gameplay that serves to accurately reflect Vincent's growing sense of anxiety. It is an experience wholly unlike any to come before it.

See who Catherine will be voiced by in the US version.
Catherine, the blonde slutty one that fucks Vincent's life has a confirmed voice actress! Laura Bailey, who you might remember as Serah from FF13 , Keiko from YuYu Hakusho, Lust from FullMetalAlchemist or my favorite, Schrödinger from Hellsing Ultimate. A long with many of others animes and films she has been in, comes a great voice. She fits Catherine, she can do the cute/skank voice pretty well.
In Japan voice acting is top notch and a lot of games that come over here get some half-assed actors for English version. As long as we keep getting good news on who is voicing who I am relieved. But even better yet, I'd love the option to play the game in original version with English subtittles. What do you guys think of Bailey? Have a better actress in mind? Don't be a jimmy and leave your comments below.
Heres a short clip of what she could do, uploaded by http://www.youtube.com/user/konsolekingz

Check out who Katherine will be voiced by in the upcoming Atlus game "Catherine"
Katherine is the sophisticated intellectual girlfriend of Vincent. Her voice actress has finally been revealed , Michelle Ruff. You may know her as Rukia from Bleach, Kaori of Akira, or C.Viper from sf4 to name a few. I'm not familiar with all of her work, but for Katherine it seems like her voice should be a bit deeper and mature. Strangely enough I think Vipers Japanese voice is perfect for Katherine Leave your commnets below about Atlus's pick on Michelle Ruff, or who do you think would be better. Don't be a jimmy.

New Catherine video released by Atlus, "Are You Committed?" uses fan-submitted answers and a peek at the voice actors performance.
New Atlus video "Are You Committed" doesn't show anything new for the upcoming adult game Catherine. But it does raise some interesting questions about how fans feel about their relationships. Also, we get to hear Vincent, Catherine and Jonathan's voice actors at work. I was afraid of how it would turn about (because the JP voices were so good!) , but the English ones turned out very well. Enjoy the video below .
Personally I can't wait to get married. Do you agree or disagree with some of the people in the video? Leave a comment on what you think and if that's too personal, leave a comment on the voice work/ story :D

Catherine could be coming to the U.S this year.
This may not be too exciting for most of you, but it's a small glimmer of hope for some. Atlus did say "No plans for U.S release" a few days ago for Catherine. But on the Gamestop site they listed the game to be released July 26th published by Atlus U.S! The page has been pulled down by Gamestop but Google Cache still has it. Check it out here-
To speculate even more Atlus newsletter sent this a week ago,
which probably isn't related, but we can assume stuff. Will you make a U.S release if we still like you? Please let it be the original game ( JP players complained it was TOO HARD, they released a patch lowering the difficulty >_<)
Could we be seeing our psychotic platformer hitting the States? Or was this some sort of strange fuck up? Or maybe zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz? Leave your commnets below, don't be a jimmy.
Walrus confirmed the games release! And I got this in a email

Pizza boxes and pillow cases, oh my...
Just got an email from Atlus with awesome news for upcoming game Catherine. For $79.99 you get the "Love is Over" Delux Edition. This includes a Men's Large shirt that Catherine wears with empty hearts, the large mens boxers wth hearts that Vincent wears in the dream world, a sexy Catherine pillow case and a....pizza box :p
The pre-order deal gets you a artbook and CD.
Catherine comes out 2 months from now. What do you guys think of these bonuses? Considering the fact that games are over $60 now a days(and if you pre-order), you would be getting a artbook, baller-ass music, and some clothes/pizza box for $15-20. But no matter how I try to justify it, $80 is $80 >_>. In less than a month might be seeing a post by goukijones with amazon deals, with Love is Over Delux Edition for $49.99 The shirt is awesome, but not enough. I'm mostly likely going with the standard pre-order.

Best Atlus game to date? Atlus has brought us such games as Shin Megami Tensei series(a personal favorite) and Persona, how does this new title stack up? Check it out.
Been following Catherine for a while, it finally came out (Japan release only, other release TBA) Feb 17nth. Basically you play as a guy named Vincent who meets a hot chick named Catherine and you have insane nightmares of getting killed and stuff. During the day you chill with your bros and talk about hoes, trying to find out what the hell is happening in the dream world a long with real life coincidences.
In the Nightmare world you climb and pull out blocks to make a pretty fun platforming experince while other things like traps and monsters try to keep you from your path. Also in this world you can collect coins to use on items. Your actions such as how you text people and what you do in the platforming levels change the outcome of your character and the route of the game. Without further ado check out these gameplay clips to get a nice feel or why this game is win-sauce. Check out official site here http://cathy.atlus.co.jp/ (source)
Heres 2 trailers uploaded by http://www.youtube.com/user/slaughterking
Also on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/TokyoDomeSF4 has been bro enough to upload the full game a long with ENGLISH commentary, gives you a better idea of whats going on, he fills in some of the dialouge.
With impatiency rising and no real release date for American version, my friend is going to import it (not sure when), will give you hands-on info when I can :D So what do you guys think of this game? Want it in the U.S?

Recent interview with Yoshinori ono is looking grim...but Japan sells for Catherine are at the top of the charts!
In this weeks Famitsu Magazine with an interview with Ono , he said there are no plans for home version of AE. Ontop of that he said certain characers in AE were made strong, " having such a character helps to build community and competitive spirit" Ono says. That was followed by him saying that home ssf4 was super balanced and no character was over powered. Even though he said there is no plan for AE home, he did not disconfirm Yun,Yang, E Ryu and Oni as DLC, he just didn't comment on it. This definately seems like we will have some sort of AE character DLC, but not the character changes. Also ssf4 was a great balanced fighter...compared to other fighters, but as its own game I felt lots of unbalance issues with lower tier characters vs people that had so many ultra options, juggles and damage output. Most people agree that AE is far more balanced...or is Ono just trolling as usual?
Is this news bumming you out, leaving you with a spark of hope or is it just nonsense, leave a comment below.
Edit: Someone asked ono on twitter about consoles not getting AE DLC and he said "Over My Dead Body" or something like that. -CinderkinRead full story...
