Community Black Wiimote and Nunchuk?

Nintendo plans to release a black Wiimote and nunchuk in the States.

Well, it might be the most exciting Wii news in a while - and that's saying a whole lot.  Nintendo announced that they'll be releasing a black Wiimote bundled with Motion+ on November 16.  The bundle is going to retail for $50.  The bundle is also going to include a black sleeve instead of the clear sleeves currently packed with Wiimotes.  So that you can color-coordinate, Nintendo is also going to release a black nunchuk to retail for the regular $20 price tag.  Unfortunately Nintendo hasn't announced plans to release a black version of the console itself despite the fact that Japan has already seen a black version of the console.

Here's to hoping that the States will get to see a black version of the console in the near-future!

If I played the Wii EVER! I still wouldn't care what color the Wiimote is. Does anybody else really care at this point. As long as the system works I'm happy. I've had like 8 different colored Xboxs and the only one I have now that works is a white arcade unit.

I don't think anyone's too hyped about this. I didn't post it because I cared; I posted it because it's something Wii-related that is the closes thing to really being newsworthy since the price cut (which I think I also posted the article about). The Wii is pretty stagnant as of late; it's pretty much a dust collector unless all the next line of Nintendo franchise releases come out in 2010.

Don't get me wrong. I'm sure some Jimmys are hyped for this. You're right about the games though. Zero! My Wii just sits there, doesn't even look pretty.

Last game I played on Wii was Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition...a game that's well over two years old. I played ten minutes of it and got tired of aiming at the screen, said screw it, and played some of it on the PS2 instead.

I'm sure my kid is going to get a Wii for christmas so I'll finally have one in the house. I'll grab black motes' over the white ones for sure. I can't see people who already have motes' getting these though, unless they just have the x-tra cash to blow. I think the Wii-Motion Plus is a joke, get it right the first time Nintendo. I know it's selling well, but they need a console with more power.

The Wii's graphics are the least of its problems. They need a console that allows you to play online without exchanging 2 different 12 digit numbers, and lets you voice chat during games. (Also, they need more games.)

If Mario Kart Wii allowed us to yell at each other during the races, and had a much easier way to join up, I'm sure I would be playing it still. (I still don't have gouki's "license number" for MKW. LoL.)

The crazy thing to me is that the two systems that have WiFi built in, can't seem to find their ass with both hands when it comes to online play. XBL just beats them senseless.

Oh yeah 4 sure. Live has had me hooked from day one. I was playing Crimson Skies and Counter-Strike just waiting for Halo 2 to come out. I think Nintendo tried it's best to restrict cussing and lewdness online. That's great for kids, but it fails on the adult end. The fact is though that Nintendo is kicking ass and they're acting like they're not even worried about updating anytime soon. I'm sure they are cooking up something in the background though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't The Conduit add voice chat support online with the Wii?

I don't even know wtf you mean license number lol! I don't know about the conduit, but I will say too late! Way too late! Mario Kart was the game they should use as an example to blow the online world away!

P.S. I don't need forty different carts and bikes especially if the bikes are gonna be faster than the karts, in MARIO KART! WTF!
