Could the XCOM FPS Game be Canceled?

In an interesting turn of events the upcoming first person shooter XCOM has gone missing. Read on to see what we mean.

The delayed first person shooter XCOM from 2K Marin has a few weird things going on. If you were to visit the games website you will be greeted with a 404 error, indicating that the server is live but the content that the URL should be connecting with isn’t there.

It could possibly be just a slight error from the 2K Games side and that there isn't anything going on with the site or the game, but this seems unlikely as the XCOM: Enemy Unknown website is still up and running just fine.  What is also interesting is that on the official 2K games YouTube channel all videos and trailers of the game have been removed.

Announced in 2010 XCOM wasn't well received by fans of the series due to it going to an FPS style from the traditional RTS. It has since then suffered several delays and was recently rumored to be a downloadable third person shooter.

What is going to happen to XCOM? Will it get renamed or canceled all together? Tell us what you think in the comments. Don't be a Jimmy!
