Would you be a smug bastard or a sincere human?
What up Jimmies! If you love comicbooks, you’ll love this!
Infamous is a third person shooter from Sucker Punch and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Sucker punch is also known for their Sly Cooper series. The games starts off with the protagonist Cole MacGrath waking up from the wildest night of his life! Naw, I’m joking, but he’s a carrier of some kind and just so happens to be carrying a deadly bomb that destroys half of the city. He wakes up, somehow, and gets saved by his best friend. The story quickly introduces you to his best friend and girlfriend as well.
Story: The game’s story is told like a comicbook of a super hero. But what makes it so great, are the choices you can decide. The game has a karma level you should watch and all your action have consequence. You help old ladies cross the street, you get good karma. You trip old ladies, you get bad karma. Your best bet with the story is YOUR style of playing. The story can be a hero’s tale with you stopping the bad guys and taking bullets for people, OR can screw so many people they literally start throwing rocks at you and attack you too, and they’re not even the bad guys! But I recommended you play one side and go for it. And the game’s ending is completely different if you play both side(duh)! But, if you play the bad guy, you don’t get a sequel…. Mmmmm…
Gameplay: It’s smooth as butter. You can just about jump, climb, scale, run, roll, shoot, and suck everything in sight. Since it’s a third person shooter, the mechanics are tight. You can feel Cole, your puppet of whatever, moving the way you would want him to. As the story progress you unlock new powers with makes the game even better. From sticky grenade to electric wolverine blades, it keeps coming. The action only intensifies as your powers grow.
A little break! Watch this!
Graphics: It’s honestly pretty good with what you’re getting here. The game doesn’t load, except during open/close of chapters. The city is WELL detailed to the movie theater’s what’s playing. The city’s color pallet also changes based on your choices of play. So if you’re a Hero, the colors are vivid and bright. Else, the city is a dog turd brown, gun metal grey. The character models are sharp and clean and you can believe Cole MacCock is a real man.
Sound: The music in this game is amazing. With the talents of Amon Tobin , James Dooley ,Mel Wesson, and Martin Tillman, you have a superb sound track at your ears. As the action picks up, you want to jump towards the bad guys and rail them.
Overall: It’s a must for you PS3 owners. It’s a FUN game with awesome sounds, fun story that always pushes, and crazy powers at your hands. BUY IT!
It’s cheap now anyways…^_^
