Many video game characters in our time are remembered for either being the most incredible, the most annoying, or the most memorable. Observe the characters that we will never forget.
Video game characters have become memorable in the most unique and original ways. We either hated them or loved them. Some were both. Let's start at the bottom with this video. The most annoying characters. Now personally, I've never really been annoyed by a video game character unless I was losing to it. But in this video we see how other gamers, beg to differ xD
Next we have The Most Broken Characters. Recall a time when you were facing of against a friend and there was that one character that CLEARLY had an advantage. NOTORIOUSLY. He was the go to character when you wanted to beat someone completely and utterly. Tournaments nearly banned such characters. Nerds would try to tell you not to use them, but you used them anyway because you liked the character and because you wanted that annoying cocky nerd to shut up with a win under your belt XD
These are my personal Top 3:
3. Algol
The moment Algo was discovered to be a playable character, the French banned him from tournaments. Algol is the final boss character for Soul Calibur 4 for every character's story line. His projectile game is vast with different speeds and ground space to control the zoning and spacing. His damaging powerful attacks and range along with style and teleport technique made him a highly sought after character to learn. And while it was Hilde that turned out to be the cheapest, Algol still struck fear into the hearts of many players when faced against the original wielder of Soul Edge and creator of Soul Calibur. Behold a video of his reign as countless years ago he ruled as Warrior King. "Fighting is my all...it is my existence!"-Algol.
2. Meta Knight
Meta Knight at the beginning was a smooth looking character when we all first tried him in BRAWL. But soon after, we discovered his near lagless moves, high priority attacks, almost unlimited recovery game, and a glitch that made him practically untouchable. His speed and ridiculous onslaught on the rest of the cast quickly brought him to number 1 on BRAWL tier lists without question. Here is a video of his absoluteness.
1. Sagat
The King of Muay Thai became number 1 in Japanese tier lists before Street Fighter 4 even hit Amercian shores. His massive amount of health, defenses, attack power, and range, gave him a spot in the Guiness Book Of Word Records for giving Street Fighter Champion Ryan Hart a 169 winning streak. While Sagat has now recieved tweaks in the latest versions of Street Fighter 4, he remains the most memorable S Rank fighter of the Street Fighter series. Rejoice with a combo vid.
And now a Honorable Mention. Karai....who the eff is this guy!!?? HE'S BROKEN THAT'S WHAT.
And now the Best Overall Characters Of All Time. The debate for this is big. We all have our favorites. But who do you think has conquered all and endured time? I think you might agree with the end result.
In the end we will all have our favorite characters, whether they be powerful or weak, funny or irritating. But that in itself is what makes video game characters worthwhile, their versatility. A big Thank You to their creators for giving us these memorable characters.
