In our time of video games, we enjoy the sheer simplicities as well as the elaborate structures of today's titles. But what is in store for our future? Take a look at what may be the most likely outcome for our video games of the future.
The future of our video games are, without a doubt, linked to our technology. And as time passes, video games will only get better, more advanced.
Upon one of the first things to be improved, will be the reaction time between controller and game. Button inputs, are delayed by the person controlling them. Controllers now a days use a combination of wires and infared signals to transefer inputs smoothly. As such, a new type of controller will be developed to deliver command inputs as quickly as possible. However, this new "controller" will not be your typical hand held, but a glove. A state of the art glove with sensors with greater conductivity, which in turn, will allow even more effects and programming to be incorporated overall.
Next is the size of home gaming systems. Most of today's systems such as the 360 Slim and PS3 Slim are around 10x10 inches, the Wii being around 7x5 inches. The overall size of our sysytems will dramatically decrease, becoming portable, changing ultimately to a pair of high tech goggles. These goggles will project all visuals into your eyes. At this point, techonology itself will be advanced enough to have these goggles connected online by via satelite as well as have access to cable network television. Which in turn, will conclusively be displayed in 3D and High Definition.
Video games themselves with furthermore be sold through online downloads, saving additional costs that gaming companies would normally have to invest in such as packaging, shipping, and discs. As a result, online security will substantially increase to avoid hackers and as a consequence, would improve the overall security of computers world wide.
