Thousands of zombies filling every square inch of Fortune City.(Las Vegas) Players will be able to take two objects, a roll of tape and with a little inventiveness create an advanced zombie-killing combo weapon -- a piece of wood and a lawnmower become Portamower, the handheld mower that cuts zombies down to size in an instant, while a garden rake and car battery combine to create an electrified zombie prod. Creating and using combination weapons will not just result in novel ways to tackle Dead Rising 2's shuffling cast of thousands as the more combo weapons a player uses, the more Prestige Points (PPs) they will rack up. Earn enough PPs and Chuck levels up, which in turn delivers its own benefits.

Part of the Tap it or Die ad campaign. CapcomEuro has been actually making weapons in real life with duct tape. Don't worry they have all of the trials AND errors on video. Check it out.

There's not much I'd like to say about Dead Rising 2 that FNJimmy didn't say in his review. These videos from CapcomEuro show some Jimmy in a lab coat and a duct taped mask, lookin like Dr. Doom. In these videos this guy duct tapes different things together based on weapons you can make in Dead Rising 2. The music is gonna drive you crazy as soon as it starts in the second video you watch. Some of these videos are hit and miss for sure, like the shovel thing. However the ChuckRAM seems to do major damage. How about a ServeBot? Oh yeah, a remote control ServBot.

Check out these videos for Dead Rising 2 part of the Tape it or Die ad campaign.

Weapon of the Week : ChuckRAM

Weapon of the Week : ServBot

Weapon of the Week : GRAVEDIGGER

Check out CapcomEuro's youtube channel.

What do you think of these videos?

Oh yeah Jimmy. Capcom is milking the shit out of this game. Yes, this is the same game that charged you for the Demo. Kinda.

Some would say that Dead Rising 2 Case Zero is not a Demo, that's fine. You could earn skills and other stuff that would carry into the main game. Guess what Gouki.com found out from FNJimmy after further investigation. Irrelevant. Wow! 160 Microsoft point for a chef outfit that gives you a bonus for killing mindless Zombies with a lawnmower. Nubfarm!

From Capcom:

"From today, Dead Rising 2 owners can make defeating zombies even more gruesome by downloading the Psycho Skills Pack. Psycho Chuck will be a zombie's worst nightmare as his new alter ego will make him more difficult to kill and give him a host of gruesome weapons including chainsaws, cleavers, axes and more. Zombies won't stand a chance. To see Chuck's psychotic side, catch the video on our press extranet.

The Psycho Skills Pack is available today on Xbox Live for 160MPs."

Dead Rising 2 get DLC outfits soon

By: frankthetank Oct 8, 2010 | 7 Comments

Chuck Greene gets some new threads with benefits in the coming weeks.

So any casual fan of the Dead Rising series should know that one of the more enjoyable aspects of the game is to dress up your character, whether it be dressing protagonist Chuck Greene in a pair of daisy dukes or strip him down to nothing but his heart-filled boxers.

Starting October 12th, you can download new outfits for Chuck Greene to destroy the undead in Dead Rising 2 for both the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. These outfits will give Chuck added benefits.

For example downloading the "Psycopath" outfit (released Oct. 12th) will give Chuck extra health and will make him more proficient with "horror movie weapons" such as chainsaws, knives, machetes, and axes.

On the other hand, downloading the 'Action Hero" outfit (released Oct. 19th) will give Chuck double ammo, increased accuracy, power, and proficiency with all firearms.

Moving on to my personal favorite the "Sports Fan" outfit (released Oct. 26th) will allow you to drink as much as you want without getting railed ALA GoukiJones while increasing your luck while hitting the slots, increasing the amount of health you gain from eating and drinking, and giving Chuck the ability to tackle zombies in a manner that would make Ray Lewis jealous.

And last but not least, the "Ninja" outfit (released Nov. 2nd) will give Chuck the ability to be nearly undectable to the undead while increasing his proficiency with swords and thrown objects (i.e plates, gems, etc.)

Look for these outfits to drop on the Playstation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace weekly starting Oct. 12 for the somewhat low prices of $1.99 or 160MSP respectively.
