Truly an ultimate collection of Nintendo history.

It was revealed today the game will contain over 24 hours of original classic video game songs.  800+ Tracks!  WOW!!  From Galaga to The Legend of Zelda.  You can check out a sample of that music here. *New tracks added every week.

The game has over 100 stages including the traditional battlefield and Omega versions which now puts the game over 200 stages. What?  Wait, it is really over 300 stages!  I don’t understand Nintendo’s math sometimes, but I’m sure more than 50% of the stages will be banned before the game is released.

Nintendo does such a great job with video and game reveals.  I’m not a big fan of playing Smash, but this Nintendo Direct was just fun to watch and it made me excited for the game.  Although, I just imagine myself putting on the music track and doing something else.

No shows from Metroid and Yoshi after 2017's video teases. Don't worry tho, HELLA Smash Bros.

Ok, so there were a few games that Nintendo showed us that was alright.  The most exciting for me was Super Mario Party.  Overcooked 2 looked like it could be fun in the short term.  And Fortnite was finally announced for Switch and is available for free download today.  A few other games, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, etc. etc.  This was a very weak presentation from Nintendo.

Then we have 25 minutes of Smash. This is great news for fans of this game. It is the Ultimate version, which includes every single character from every Smash game.  It is the largest video game crossover ever.  Speaking about this 25-minute video, this is a perfect example of how I wish every game demo went for E3.  Here’s our new game.  New features.  New characters.  Things that used to work like this, work a different way now, here’s what it looks like.  The game director goes on and on about the game and its features.  Then ends with a release date  Oh how perfect all of E3 would be if it was just full of videos like this one below.
