We talked to a few chicks at EVO about well ... EVO. There were not that many girls there, just so we're clear. It was a total Jimmyfest, as somebody Twat me on the Twitter.
First up Kate B from Pittsburgh. The only chick we spoke to that was actually entered in EVO. We almost got to speak with Kayo Police, but nobody knew wtf was going on. That video wouldn't have been in this story anyway.
We bumped into an X-23 and she didn't know what was going on, but thanks for the video.

Daigo "The Beast" Umehara posted a video offering the rest of the world a message about the upcoming World Fighting Game Finals EVO. Daigo has a few choice words for those participating this year. Check it out!
So what do you think of Diago's message? He won SSF4 at last years EVO and now it looks like he's got some tricks up his sleave for Marvel vs Capcom 3. Will anyone stop the beast this year? Tell us what you think in the comments. Don't be a Jimmy!
With the official release date for Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, the guys that run Evolution (the tournament of all tournaments) has changed SSF4 to Arcade Edition for this year.
"We are happy to announce that we will be switching the EVO 2011 Street Fighter 4 tournament to use SSF4 Arcade Edition! AE's June 7th release date will give players nearly two months of training to prepare for EVO on July 29th. We look forward to seeing the best fighters in the world come together to battle it out on another great Street Fighter title. If you haven't registered for EVO yet, now is your chance to save $20! Our early bird special for registration expires May 1st, so register now at http://evo2k.com/register "
CEO 2011, the Evo Tournament Season event in Orlando Florida, is also switching over to Arcade Edition.
This is great news for a lot of people. I for one feel that this isn't exactly fair for the thousands of gamers who only get 2 months to practice, while a lot of pro's have been in the arcades since last year. At least last year everyone got Super at the same time. Either way I can't wait to see how this turns out for this years EVO.
Gouki.com will be there and we hope to see you guys there too. Don't be a Jimmy!

Team Gouki at EVO 2011 has full access. Interviews with your favorite fighting game producers. Have us ask the questions you want answered. Leave a comment and if we ask your question, you could win a free game.
I'm sure you've heard, EVO is more serious than ever this year. Not because it's $80 to enter this, not because tons of Jimmys will be coming from all over the world to Las Vegas for a shot at Daigo. Personally I'm more excited to see the Marvel VS Capcom 3 final, because that's my shit. EVO 2011 is more serious because it panels. Panels. That's right, I'm talking about panels. Skullgirls, Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3, Street Fighter X Tekken, Namco Bandai, Street Fighter 3 Online. That right there makes EVO the official fighting game tournament AND convention for all things fighting games.
Capcom is always full on involved at EVO and we're going to see Seth Killian, Niitsuma-san, and of course Ono-san. Other people we're gonna see is Mike Z from Skullgirls, Super Jimmy Daigo, Derek Neal from Street Fighter III: Third Strike and I'm pretty sure Harada-san will be bumping around as well.
Below is the schedule of the panels we're attending. Also the interviews we have scheduled. If the Goukimunity has any questions for any of these producers or games, leave a comment below. Be creative, I'm not going to ask why Megaman isn't in UMvC3. Fuck, Don't be a Jimmy! Don't you want to know the truth of Poison, whether or not it has or had a pecker. What about some hints to what some of the levels maybe in UMvC3, not much I know, but we might be able to get an answer. Leave you best questions below, to who and for what game. If we ask your question and you see the video on Gouki.com, we're gonna send you a free game.
EVO 2011 Schedule
12:00PM Skullgirls Panel
2:00PM Daigo Panel
4:00PM Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 Panel

1:30PM Skullgirls Interview with Mike Z

Check out we got to speak with the two Jimmys making my personal favorite fighter right now. I don't care what you Jimmys say, MvC 3 is way more exciting to me.
Special thanks to Ryota Niitsuma san & Neo G [Hidetoshi Ishizawa san], that's his nickname. Thanks to Capcom too. BatRastered is on the mic and FnJimmy can be spotted in the background as securretty. Some nuab is jumping around in the background at the beginning, so I tell FnJimmy to go over there and Hulk Smash his grill.
Ryota Niitsuma & Neo G VS Team Gouki EVO 2011 Interview

We got to talk to this smooth Jimmy about Street Fighter III Online Edition. Derek Neal is the producer and he's pretty hype for SF3oe. So am I, it's my favorite Street Fighter. Don't be a Jimmy!
This interview was on day 3 at EVO 2011. Capcom had already packed up their entire booth (in less than 30 mins, mind you.) They left these cool crates with Capcom spray painted on them. Backdrop heard. Get hype for hype D. Derek Neal.

Team Gouki got to sit down with Mike Z from Skullgirls this weekend at EVO 2011. Mike was most kind to give a complete walkthrough of a new Skullgirls character, Parasoul.
If you listen carefully Mike mentions how the code again was changed over night after some reaction from people playing with Parasoul on day 1 of EVO. Mike mentioned the same thing at E3, that code was constantly being rewritten and the game is different everyday. The man is dedicated and Skullgirls continues to amaze.

Ono announced a patch is forthcoming during a panel at EVO.
Do you feel Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition is unbalanced? Much of the fighting community does, and Capcom is listening. Sometime later this year (Seth Killian says "fall or winter") we will see a free patch for AE that will rebalance some of the characters.
No details were given as to what the balancing might be, but we can guess that Yun will be nerfed somewhat.
Ono also asked that people lay off him on the Twitter. You see? You hurt his feelings, so stop it.
Gouki.com had the honor to speak with Yoshinori Ono from Capcom while at EVO 2011. Check out this exclusive interview.
The video speaks for itself.
Thank you very much to Yoshinori Ono and Capcom.
Yes I'm speaking directly with Capcom now. I do it for all the Jimmys around the world.
I know his name is Seth Killian. I was nervous.
