iPhone 4 a new way of gaming.
Hey what's up Gouki fam. I haven't played XBox much these days. I mean don't get me wrong the new Halo Reach is cool and all but everything is starting to seem like the same crap over and over again with just new boards. I don't mind dropping 60 or 70 dollars on a game but shit give me something new. More than just 5 new boards and some crappy mission that after a few bong hits I'm going to forget about anyway. Side note if you play a game beat it and then a few months later play it again because it was just so cool. Well, your a douche nozzle, I mean no offence, but.....your still a douche nozzle (that means you are not the bag but just the stick, and that's gross). I'm sure you can find something better to do with your time then get pissed at Mission 2 Level 3 all over again, YOU FUCKING POOP STICK..But again I mean no offence. You didn't see the US saying "hey we should do that Mexican-American war thing again". Oh wait they are kind of, you know with the whole wall thing and all. Bad example, but you know what I mean.
Anyway what was I talking about, oh yea the iPhone 4. I love this thing, you can get games for 99 cents most of the time and they can keep you busy for hours. Granted I smoke and one time stared at light socket for 15 minutes and thought wow they look like happy faces saying "oooooo". Go look, they do. Oh yea back to the phone. The thing about the iPhone and even the Droid is that you can take these on the go and have fun playing them. There's like 200000 games to choose from. Granted you can't take them to Game Stop and get credit for them, but with GameStop exchange rate you'll walk out owing them money. (GAMESTOP ARE ASSMONKEYS!! DIRTY DIRTY ASSMONKEYS!!) no offence to any monkeys out there. Unless your are an assmonkey then you should be very offended. It's portable gaming people, you can play a game on the crapper check your email and youjizz.com all at the same time. Thank you multitasking :). Granted it does have its faults like when my wife told me to say hi to her mother while on face chat and I was on the toilet. Don't judge me I make all my calls from the bathroom, great acoustics but a very weird moment for us both.
I know it these shitty little games don't compare to Halo or Call of Duty by any means but you can only play that crap so much. You can play Angry Birds or Enigmo anywhere and even use your iPod at the same time. There's even a app that can change your voice during a phone call. A huge stalker favorite. So put down your controller and pick up your phone there some cool games in your app store, and you can go out and see boobies that aren't virtual.

A preview to what may be one of the most popular shooters out there this year.
With Borderlands 2 making its arrival in a couple of months, I would like to talk about some of the things that we could expect from this game. Does this game deserves the hype that it deserves? Let's find out:
The game takes place 5 years after the events of the first game, after the Vault Hunters has discovered the secrets of the Eridian Vault. a man who goes by the name of Handsome Jack has taken credit for the vault hunters' action and has amassed the wealth of the Vault, thus allowing him to take over the Hyperion Corporation and as such effectively gained dominion over Pandora. Promising that he will clean up the lawless planet, Handsome Jack embarks on a journey to eradicate Pandora's existing colonists and industrialize the planet. The Main Symbol for Handsome Jack's rule is a massive supply base in the form of an "H" on Pandora's moon, which is visible at all times, and can also deploy Hyperion troops at any point on Pandora.
The game begins with you, the player, fighting to the death in a gladiatorial tournament for a chance win a limitless cache of loot that is run by Handsome Jack. As you succeed through and gain notoriety, Handsome Jack sees this as a threat to his popularity with his people. At the end of the tournament, Handsome Jack decides to decline giving the reward to the player and leaves him/her for dead in a tundra. The Guardian Angel from the first game then appears to you and says that Handsome Jack need to be killed, guiding the player to find and rescue the four original Vault Hunters from Hyperion's clutches in order to accomplish this much needed task. Jack's intentions may be fully unknown, but it may have something to do with having to finding "The Warrior", an ancient evil that is located somewhere in Pandora.
Gameplay will pretty much remain the same from the first game with a lot of new features. The enemy AI will be more intelligent, allowing them to respond to certain situation, whether it is to deploy a shield, taking cover when injured, healing their allies, or even using their allies as shields. They can even encourage teamwork, such as flanking, combined fire, as well as taking cover when injured, while some of the more "primitive" enemies, such as Psychos, will still embrace the old mentality of "Oh look, a Gun! I'll put myself in front of it!!". Some of the other new features includes an expansive and customizable weapons system, along with reworked four-seat drift-able vehicles and vehicles physics elements, and a dynamic quest systems. One good example of this is that if you were to take too long in saving a friend, he would be killed and the mission will fail, thus affecting the course of the main quest.
When it comes to the cast of characters, you have a really nice lineup of characters you can play as. Here's the list of characters with a very brief description of them:
- Class: Gunzerker
- Special Ability: able to Dual-Wield guns
- Class: Siren
- Special Ability: Phaselock
- Class: Commando
- Special Ability: Turrets
- Class: Assassin
- Special Ability: Able to duplicate and become invisible for a limited time, able to deal critical hits with sword.
Another cool thing is that you can completely customize your character in many ways, whether it's something basic as changing the colors of the clothes and hair, to actually changing the way your character looks with new hairstyles and new clothing. Like with the first game, as you level up in the game, you will be able to use skill points to unlock more abilities from three distinct specializations for each of the base characters.
Graphics and Sounds:
Like the previous game, Borderlands 2 will keep their cartoon-esque cell-shading graphic style. In my opinion, I really liked the graphic style of the first game, and to keep that for the second is a step in the right direction. Also, unlike the first game, in which we had loadable levels for each region, the whole world will be interconnected, allowing players to see the world from any point rather than staring at a "skybox".
As for the sound, I can't really say much about the sound. I figure it's going to have the same type of sound just like from the first game, So I'm hoping that we get some quality sound and music in this game.
In a sense, is this game worth getting? I say YES!!! I fully believe that this is going to be one of the best games of the year. What makes me really believe in this is the fact that this is one of the few shooters in this day and age (other than Battlefield 3) that I would really take the time to play. It's story and gameplay elements are what will keep me enthralled at the experience. I give this game a HYPE IT!!!!
Verdict: Hype It!!!!Read full story...
Playstation 3 users rejoice! PSN is back online after 3 weeks, well sort of. Some users in specific regions are signing into the playstation network and asked to download the 3.61 update. While this is the only option right now PSN should be back up soon,
The restoration of PSN service requires a firmware update on PS3 consoles and requires users to change their passwords. Sony is also offering customers free enrollment in identity theft protection programs in countries where they are available, the company said.
Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Kazuo Hirai offered a video statement announcing the restoration of PSN services that began with an apology to users for the outage.

A quick announcement from Harada regarding TTT 2.
Yesturday, Katsuhiro Harada, Producer at Namco, has announced through Twitter, that we can expect to see some new characters being revealed for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 at E3 this year. Even though there are no exact details as to who will be added or how many will be added, we will at least know when they will be revealed.
Here's the post found on Harada's Twitter:Read full story...
I didn't like Uncharted 2, and here's why.
I have a PS3 and not many games for it. I heard Uncharted 2 had pretty good critical reception, so I figured "if a lot of other people like it, maybe I will like it too!". I ended up getting Uncharted 2, and I got really bored of it.
First off, I never really found the Indiana Jones movies that entertaining. I mean, the concept of them is pretty entertaining but I don't like the actual movies very much. This game is sort of like Indiana Jones. Well, it's also mixed with National Treasure (a movie I like), but doesn't have that same heart warming Nick Cage feel.
This game is said to be like Tomb Raider. I wouldn't necessarily know since I've never played a Tomb Raider for more than 10 minutes, but Nathan is far less attractive to me than Lara.
However, the hot girl of this game, Chloe Frazer, is super hot. I mean, damn. I don't think I've ever found a video game character more appealing. And that voice too. And that British accent. And that body. And that attitude. Mmm.
Anyways, after "playing with the sixaxis function", the gameplay comes in. It's a hide-behind-coverfire-throw-grenades-or-melee-them kind of game with "platforming". The reason platforming is in quotes is that it's not true platforming. True platforming needs timing, precision, caution, and fluidity. Uncharted 2 has choose-a-direction+jump and Drake does everything by himself. The only real challenge with the platforming is figuring out which crumbled rock you can and can't jump on, but if you spin the analog and mash jump, he'll find it for you.
After long platforming segments, you get to the combat. The combat is almost like WW1 trench warfare. You just sit there and wait and shoot millions of bad guys. There are just so many guys! It's not like the game even promotes stealthiness either.
So you do an hour of mind numbing combat and half an hour of fake platforming, and it repeats.
However, the graphics, voice acting, and presentation for this game are really great. It really does feel like a movie, and some of the gameplay parts are things you'd see in an intense action movie. I'm not saying this game was done poorly, just that I simply don't like it.
It's been a long while since Cinderkin fist posted on here that there would be a Voltron game, but now there's a trailer for it.
Voltron is a classic anime, and one that I loved as a kid. I still love it today. I haven't had a chance to see much of the new one on nickleodeon, but I what I did see doesn't hold up to the original. Luckily this game seems to follow the classic series rather than the new one.
I for one can't wait. I love voltron, and this looks like a decent space/ground scrolling shooter with some combat thrown in. The combat will most likely be terrible, but I don't even care. With thrown in cutscenes straight from the classic anime, the only other thing I can hope for is the original narrator. I'm hyped for this game. We can all look forward to it this october on both XBLA and PSN.

My[Arthvader] preview for The King of Fighters XIII. An in-depth look at the most important reasons why Arthvader is hype for KOF13.
With The King of Fighters XIII coming this November, I'm soo hyped up for this game. I've been a fan of the series since 94, and from the looks of it, I'm sure it'll be one of the best one yet. Here's the trailer:
The story takes place after the event's of KoF XI. Ash Crimson has just recently managed to claim two of the three power held by the decedents of those who sealed the Orochi 1,800 years ago (Chizuru Kagura and Iori Yagami), while leaving Kyo Kusanagai to be his final victim. As Elisabeth Blanctorche, a former comrade of Ash, prepares to stop him, fighters from around the world received a letter with an invitation to another King of Fighters tournament tournament, in which it's be hosted by a person being simply labeled as "R". This person is Rose, the sponsor of the tournament, who is currently being controlled by "Those from the Past", the organization behind the two previously held tournaments that has been trying to break the seal of the Orochi.
Let's talk modes first. The game will have the following modes: Story, Practice, Challenge, Customize, Tutorial, Replay, Gallery, and Online.
In the Story mode, you can view events from the perspective of multiple characters, and it will be influenced by the decisions you make, as well as your battle results. when it comes to battling the CPU in the story mode, you'll be given random objectives, or Target Actions, which when completed, will give you bonus points, as well as some bonuses for the next round. Also, pre-battle dialog will be shown during the single player mode.
With the Tutorial mode, newcomers will be able to learn the basics of the game. the tournament sponsor Rose will explain the basic controls of each character, as well as the importance of each gauge.
The Challenge mode will consist of three modes within itself: Survival, where you fight for as long as you can, Time Attack, Where you pretty much just play through the game for the fastest time, and Trial, which you perform various combos with each character.
The Replay mode is where you can view replays of matches you saved after battles. I don't know yet if you can watch replays with friends yet.
The Gallery is, well, it's self explanatory. in this mode, you can view various pieces of art done by the staff.
Another neat feature for this game is the fact that you can customize the character's colors to whatever you want. Sure, at first, there won't be as many colors available at first, but as you keep playing the game, more colors will be available, allowing for unlimited customizations. the best part is, you can use those customizations in online play.
The next thing I'll mention is gameplay changes. First of all, the following gameplay mechanics from the previous game were removed for this game: the Critical Counter system, the the Clash system, and the dynamic, zooming camera. In the place of these mechanics, the following systems and changes has been added:
- The EX Mode: Players will be able to use powerful version if their moves for the cost of one meter for EX Desperation Moves, and two meters for EX Super Desperation Moves.
- The Triple Cancel: this mechanic allows players to unlimitedly cancel their character's moves. the Triple Cancel is dependent on the Hyper Drive Gauge.
- The Hyper Drive Gauge: A three-tier gauge which will gradually drain as player cancel the moves. Whenever the the gauge reaches the max, the player will then go into a state called "Hyper Drive Mode" in which players will be able to cancel unlimitedly for a short amount of time.
- Neo Max Desperation Move: whenever the player is in the "Hyper Drive Mode" while having at least three power stocks, they'll be able to pull off this powerful technique. Players can also link this move into a combo, in which you'll do a "Max Cancel".
All I have to say is this, the songs in this game are soo totally badass. Instead of having generic songs for the stages, we get back songs for each team. Not only that, each team's theme, in my opinion, sounds like it belongs with them. Listen to Team Japan's theme here, and see for yourself:
As you can see from the image above, you can tell that the game improves on the graphics. The game will feature a total of at least 8 new hand-drawn stages, while returning stages from the previous game will get a visual upgrade. each characters themselves will have at least 20 different colors to choose from, all of which looks really nice, while some characters might have head swaps (Raiden & Takuma, I'm looking at you), and if the twenty colors aren't enough, you can use your own customized colors (I explained customization mode in the gameplay section of the preview.)
Final Verdict: HYPED!!!
Even though the game won't be out just yet, I'd say BUY IT!!!!!
Also, pre-order this game to get a special 4-disk set consisting of KoF music spanning the whole franchise.
Before I go, here's some videoes of high level KoF XIII players (I found these on iplaywinner's youtube page):

The long awaited Welcome Back Program is here, a long with some FAQ.
A while back Sony announced we would get free stuff in the Welcome Back Program This was a bunch of stuff from PS Home, 2 free games for PS3 and PSP and 30 days free of PS+. Also, they have lame free movies for the weekend and tons of bonuses for PS+ people. This is good and all but there are CONSTANT errors going on within the Store, I don't think many people can get a hold of these games at the moment. Some people can't get inside the store, others booted out, some download the game but it isn't showing up and a few other problems that need to be kinked out.Read full story...
