Airborne Empire Gouki Story 001

Airborne Empire: My Final Form Airship Endgame

If you’ve never heard of Airborne Empire, let me break it down for you. It’s a city-builder adventure where you construct and command a massive flying airship castle. The things you can build are insanely cool — you’ll end up creating ridiculous sky-dominating monstrosities that feel truly epic. Like my square.

The world map is huge and packed with secrets, including a completely hidden endgame area full of tough challenges and late-game content.

A few key things keep your airship running smoothly: staying afloat and staying level. Here’s a pro tip for keeping everything balanced — even in the early game, try to distribute weight evenly on both sides. You don’t have to perfectly mirror every building. Feel free to leave gaps if needed, but make sure all your walkways are well-lit, or your birds will start tumbling off the edges.

Speaking of birds… if you’re losing too many to falls or glorious ace air combat missions, here’s my solution: Hire every single bird available in every town you visit. Need more housing? Build it. You’re going to need every feathered crew member you can get if you want total air superiority.

Want an easier way to stay level? There’s a special building called the Scales that will automatically balance your ship no matter how lopsided it gets. Finding both pieces isn’t easy though. They’re located on opposite sides of the map in the far outskirts of the two main second-tier areas (the desert and the rocky mountains). One piece appears during the day and the other at night, so plan your timing carefully and start hunting for them as soon as you gain access to those regions.

Airborne Empire is fun, addictive, and surprisingly quick to play through. Pleasing sound effects and chill music immerse you into the atmosphere of super airship pilot Captain Nubfarm. After beating the main story, there are survival modes and other challenges to dive into. It took me around 23 hours to finish, and I was going for 100% completion (I got very close). If you enjoy exploring every corner of a game, this one will treat you right.

Verdict: Buy It
