Wait, what? Battlefield 4? Aren't they still producing content for Battlefield 3 through April 2013 or something? What system is this going to be on? When is the beta? OMG ...
That's the reveal right there. Surprise EA found a way to sell you something if you want to play the beta.
The beta is set for next fall according the official Battlefield Twitter.
"We've been getting a lot of questions about when #BF4 will be released. We're not setting a date yet, but the Beta is in Fall 2013."
My biggest question is, if the beta isn't until the fall and we're [I'm] really expecting new systems next year, will Battlefield 4 be next gen? Doesn't look like it. Is this a hint that next gen consoles STILL might not be coming out next year? Battlefield 4 is a major title for it to be released at the END of a cycle. I'm just not happy with any of this. Is EA going to start milking us with Battlefield games now? Battlefield 2 came out in 2005 and Bad Company 2 was released in 2010. Okay well every 2 years is okay I guess. I'd prefer them to take their time with Battlefield 4 and it not just be a quick updated version of Battlefield 3, which is the first thing I thought when I first heard this news.
