How do you make money gathering? Here's a few tips on leveling optimally & making dat GIL at the same time.
Leves are a great way to gain some good XP on your way to your next level, but what if you're out of leves or you just want to save them for crafting? Get your daily Grand Company gathering missions done. Only turn in HQ items for a maximum bonus. How to make GIL with this method. Gather an extra group of 10 or 20 HQ items. Put them on the MB (in groups of 10 only) to sell it to the lazy gatherers that just want to turn it in real quick.
Take left over NQ items & put them on the MB for as cheap as possible. Most items sell back to vendors for only 1 GIL, so anything more than a GIL is worth it. Just get rid of that inventory. I for 1, don't have any room to hang on to NQ nubfarm items.
Final tip here is to always check the board to see what is selling high that day you plan to level. Check what area you're going to & what items are available. Make sure you get 99 of those during your gathering. With decent gear you should pull 30-40 HQ items you can sell too. Deals Jimmy!
Bottom line here, always check your Grand Company daily quests. Know what items are peaking on the Market Board & grab some of those. It's okay to get back a few levels too because you can get extra HQs & extra HQs mean extra GIL!
