FFXIV Stone Vigil Speedrun WAR Perspective

I ran this dungeon a couple of times in the Duty Finder. Both times we timed out. I was not thrilled that the WHM could not stay up during the final boss when the final boss was facing me the entire time. So I begged my FC for help ... here's the clip.

Special thanks to Cazidy Jones & Navani Kholin from my FC TAW for rolling with me thru another dungeon. They also helped me get thru the Sunken Temple. Random Jimmys couldn't even get past the first boss in that dungeon. Jimmy don't like that.

The Stone Vigil is fairly simple. The boss fights are pretty mindless. Especially if you get 3-4 shots at them you should know what you are dong. Pulling the right mobs, sleeping them right mobs & attacking the same thing as the tank really helps your speed. Stay out of the doorways where the dragon drops down & breaths fire. Again that's not a big deal. Watch out for the roaming patrol dragons & there's a couple of surprise attacks from ICE Jimmy ass monsters. The tank can get Blizzard out rather quickly so get those heals on him.

Hopefully they fix WAR in the 2.1 or 2.2 update. I hear it's not good for endgame. You're kinda stuck being not the greatest tank and your DD still ends up being on the weaker side too.

I don't think its broke at all. People just don't understand the roll.

I don't play WAR. My FC leader does and he has WAR relic as well. I'd think it's safe to say he knows what he's talking about. If you want to tank endgame I'd switch over to Paladin. Paladin's make much better tanks for endgame dungeons/primals.

lol. I recommend your FC leader switch to PLD if he doesn't understand how WAR works. Endgame will need a PLD & WAR working together. The job is not worthless/pointless, Yoshi P said so. PLD is 1 on 1 & WAR is crowd control.

He understands exactly how the game works which is why he is able to point that out. He also has multiple 50 jobs and he's a vet of 1.0. He is not a jimmy, sir.
