Mad Catz has released parts to change your FightStick so it is compatible for Mortal Kombat. The Top Panel includes a new button layout and new artwork. A separate bundle includes new buttons. Opening your FightStick will void your warranty.

MadCatz just announced the Combat FightStick Top Panel. Obviously there are some licensing issues, because MadCatz is really trying to tell you this panel is for use with Mortal Kombat, without actually saying Mortal Kombat. That's cool right? Check out the new lay out:

Yeah it was interesting to me too, that they are selling a product that says it will void the warranty. But I know a lot of Jimmys that open them up. Good idea. Why Mortal Kombat didn't just let MadCatz make a FightStick for them, I don't know ... Nubfarm?

Wow. Talk about oxymoron...
They should do it. They did if for Street Fighter but not for Mortal Kombat? Pretty backwards if you ask me...

I thought there was a fight pad included in the special collector deal from GameStop or something. But voiding your warranty to change the faceplate, screw that unless you have an older stick that is out of warranty already.

@dragon That is a FightStick/Storage case. It is a FightStick, just not made by MadCatz.

This was announced a little ways back, it's a great Idea, because the Mortal Kombat Fight Stick is complete trash by today's standards. Voiding the warranty does suck, but you have to realize that MadCatz TE sticks are top quality and rarely ever have a problem. Also Opening up your TE stick is a piece of cake and anyone can do it with ease. MadCatz made the sticks that way so people could change out art or buttons when one breaks after a mil hadoukens.

I revoke my previous statement. After playing MK9 for a while I realized that the layout they have is like that for a reason. While I still probably won't shell out the cash for one of these just yet I can respect the layout.
