My take on the 2 new gameplay videos. An explanation of the Zombie multiplayer gameplay. Ada Wong looking like Batman. Also Shiny boss battle breasts.
Man, I don't know wtf is going on in this video. First of all, could you pick a darker stage for your demo next time. So you're a "Zombie" in this mode. These "Zombies" should really be classifed as "Resident Evil Zombies." In RE1 zombies didn't have shit growing out of them and wouldn't turn into some dog with some disonaur move that spits out a poison cloud. They were just slow walking undead. I miss that shit.
So, what's going on in the video above? Looks like there's a few different transformations for the zombies. Like the dog or the mini half tyrant thing. Some of the video was edited and it was really hard to tell what was going on. I was thrown off immediately at the beginning when I realized that it was a zombie running around with a giant machete.
Shout out to Ada Wong, you got a hot ass girl! There's a lot of slow walking during the beginning of this, plenty of time for you to handle yourself while watching her ass. The no hud always upsets me. I'm looking for the aiming rectical because I want to see how difficult it looks. 0 hud, not cool. Ada Wong thinks she's Batman. In this version she has a grapple hook attached to her gun and scale buildings similar to Batman. There seems to be a entire gaming element designed with that. What's also interesting about the RE6 right now is that it seems to have a bunch of different characters you can use, all with different abilities. what does that remind you of? RE:ORC, of course. I'd just like to refer to my conspiracy theory that Capcom produces some games just to test the marker. I've said that Street Fighter X Tekken was a total test, from the gems and the DLC and all the way down to it being released on the PSVita. All tests. Maybe RE:ORC was the same thing, I just hadn't realized it.
Okay, I forgot this was about the video. So you got the wild tit monster at the end and she looks pretty cool as the boss. When you first catch a glimpse here in her normal form, looking down on Leon, I thought that was cool. She's very slippery apparently and I like that.
From Capcom:
As announced earlier this week, Ada Wong will be a playable character with her own individual campaign in Resident Evil 6. A single player experience, Ada’s campaign features unique missions and will provide her perspective on the bioterrorist outbreaks that threaten to wipe out the world’s population. Ada Wong’s campaign becomes available once players have completed the campaigns for Leon, Chris and Jake.
For those who want to experience the action as a zombie, J’avo or other C-virus mutation then the all new online mode Agent Hunt delivers. As a ‘hunter’ players will be able to infiltrate other players’ sessions with the aim of eliminating the human characters. As a hunter, players will have access to the unique movements and attacks of each of the enemies, including those of the various J’avo transformations.
So how does Agent Hunt Mode work?
-
Complete the main campaigns for either Leon, Chris or Jake to then unlock the Agent Hunt stages for each of those respective campaigns
-
When creating an RE6 gameplay session a player has the option to allow/not allow Agent Hunt
-
When a hunter searches for a session to join they will see whether or not other players from around the world want to allow hunters into their game
-
The hunter then picks another player’s session to join and jumps into that session *Please note only certain stages will be available for Agent Hunt sessions
-
The agent side can be either a single human player with an AI partner, or two human players in co-op mode. Up to two separate hunters can join an Agent Hunt session. When a hunter dies they respawn in the same session as a different random enemy from that area.
-
If the hunter eliminates the agent then they will be taken to a ‘hunt successful’ results screen where they can join another session if they wish.
-
If the agent is eliminated then their game session will end exactly as if they had been playing a standard game session with CPU enemies.
-
If the hunter quits the session then the agent’s game continues as normal with all AI enemies.
Sorry, I read the press release after I watched the video. I'd like to comment on the press release. The Hunter mode sounds pretty awesome. Ala Dark Souls, you can enter other human player games from around the world and try to make their day a little rougher. Fuck, typing this I've realised the fun might not last. There has to be people that will allow you into their game first. Either way, it might be a fun switch if you have regular buddy you're playing with if you want to try something different.
I'm still not hyped for this game. I don't think I will have much fun with this. I still have a bad taste from RE:ORC -and the 3 copies available in the store- taste in my mouth. Who is pre-ordering this right now? Why?
