Community Marvel VS Capcom 3 Problem with character choice

I don't really get whats wrong with the decision of characters in Marvel Vs Capcom 3.

Now everyone has been anticipating the charcarters for Marvel VS Capcom 3. And they say with every week there should be a new character. But it seems like they are deconfirming more than they are announcing. Its easier for us to cross out a lot of people and get closer to the final list. Also the way they decide if a character is gonna be in it or not doesn't make sense. Like with Strider Hiryu, "Strider Hiryu is popular overseas as well, we took him out of Marvel vs. Capcom 3, because he didn't fit in with its concept." Am I the only one who thinks what the fuck are you thinking. He's popular and you can build more moves onto him. He doesn't fit in with its concept? Look at the game you have tentacle monsters(Shuma Gorath) and a fat head on a jetpack ( M.O.D.O.K). How do those fit into the concept? I'm not a really big fan of Strider but it doesn't click with me that they are deconfirming characters that I believe would be really fun to play (Phoenix Wright, Silver Surfer, etc) Any thoughts on this?

The deconfirms I was most disappointed with were Phoneix Wright and MegaMan X. If those two come as DLC eventually I'll probably cream in my pants, but I do agree that some of their character choices were dumb. Like putting in She-Hulk and M.O.D.O.K. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out though. Regardless of the character choices I still can't wait for this game.

I just hope Megaman Volnutt doesn't make it in.

Same over here. Still gonna buy it, but its just dissapointing because they say they listen to their fans and alot of fans want these characters. :(

Well I dont completely disagree. I mean, you already have enough similar "sword" weapon fighters and action in the game. Granted Strider is a bit different in play style, he's not incredibly diverse enough IMO to be included.

While MODOK and a few of the other cast members seem quirky, THATs what capcom is going for. A mix and Match of cast members that are all over the place.

modok and shuma are wasted character slots that no fan asked for in the first place. Strider on the other hand has been a part of the series ever since MVC.

If it's quirky though are they just going to add alot of "underground" characters? Because then I can name alot but TVC didn't really become as popular as it could with all the Tatsunoko characters they had since not everyone knew who they were. Still fun but cast counts too.

I agree that some of the characters don't make much sense, but I really think She-Hulk can be cool. She seems like El Fuerte. I'm severely disappointed in them not having Phoenix Wright, Mega-man X, Ken, Cyclops, and Charlie.

so far i just dont like modok and shuma they could have been replaced with much better characters. hopefully they do dlcs alot

If Capcom thinks that people wanted Shuma and Modok over people like Cyke, Gambit, Blade, Silver Surfer, and even Krauser from RE4, then they're nuttier than squirrel shit.
