Warning drunken rant ahead. I was not sober while taking notes last night during the VGA's. I'm barely sober now. I'm just going to copy over my notes. Read on with care. Don't be a Jimmy!
Batman Arkham City - Dissapointing pre-rendered trailer.
Elder Scrolls Skyrim 11/11/11 - Pre-rendered bullshit. *Not a Tuesday.
Kratos IS official in Mortal Kombat. Pre-rendered trailer didn't show shit.
Thor game announced = Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Cliffy B backed out of his appearance at the last second. If he was going to make a Kinect announcement for Gears of War 3, I think he realized this may have not been the place. *There was no Kinect or Move talk at all during the VGA's.
Gran Turismo 5 - My Chemical Romance performance was the epitome of that game. Reh-tard!
Mass Effect 3 - Pre-rendered bullshit again. We are however, going to Earth. Holiday 2011.
Call of Duty Black Ops = Best Shooter - translates to bullshit. There must be a thousand videos on youtube of people complaining about how terrible it is.
Resistance 3 = Irrelevant. 9/06/2011
Prototype 2 - 2012 = Negative. The people don't care about 2012 bullshit right now. Prototype was a game that dropped in retail just as fast as Kane and Lynch 2. I couldn't even give my copy away.
Insane from Guillermo del Toro. Release date 2013?! WTF seriously? We're gonna hold you to it Guillermo del Toro, when this game never comes out. To Schmidt.
SSX Deadly Decent. Cinderkin and BatRastered were creaming their pants. I don't know why.
John Marston IS NOT the character of the year. They give it to the nuab from COD. To make things worse Spike sucks off Neil Patrick Harris center stage and give him best voice actor for Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions. A game nobody played and nobody will EVER remember for having Neil Patrick Harris in it.
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Release date 11/01/2011. Sold!

the brand new teaser for mass effect 3 ENJOY
Uh oh! The cover art for Mass Effect 3 was posted on the EA website for a very very brief period of time. It may have been by accident, but who knows. What we do know is that it showed the purple banner for Kinect on it. Check it out.
At first your thinking, this is cool we get to see the box art. On the other hand this spells trouble for the next installment to the Mass Effect franchise. I own a Kinect, and barely use it, I hope that they can make these hardcore titles work for the peripheral. As of right now though I am highly skeptical of this. Kinect better not ruin Mass Effect 3.

According to ME3's Facebook page, don't expect ME3 until the first quarter of 2012
We're still a month from E3, but already we've got our first major release date "adjustment" of the season. I fully expect to see a few more of these "TBA 2011" games slip into next year. This is a little dissapointing, but the last Mass Effect slipped into January too, so not entirely unexpected.
A new gameplay video emerges from Gamescom, Mass Effect 3 will definitely bring the action.
I really hope that Bioware brings the RPG element as well as they do the shooting this time around. The first Mass Effect still does something for me that ME2 didn't. Here's some more squad based action.
This might just be the best thing about the new Mass Effect.
Typical Bioware ... turning 1 of their games into an MMO. Okay maybe Mass Effect 3 isn't quite the MMO co-op multiplayer experience SOME of you may want, but here it is. Different classes and races, your choices affect main story, and play with friends.

The Mass Effect 3 demo came out this week, offering a peek at both the single player and the new multiplayer modes.
The Mass Effect 3 demo served as a reminder of the direction the series has taken since the original game (my favorite). That is to say, the demo is all action third person shooter with cutscenes. Forget the fact that the single player demo offers you the choice of RPG mode (default), Story mode (less fighting, more cutscenes) or Action mode (no dialog trees, the game makes choices for you), those are ridiculous, but the real problem for me was that even in RPG mode I felt like the decisions I made in the dialog weren't represented on-screen. At one point Commander Shepard finds a little kid hiding in an air vent, you're given the nice "let me help you" option or the "get out of there now!" option. Shepard is a badass, and the world is under attack from aliens, this is no time for being nice, so I picked the get out of there now option. During the cut scene Shepard shows none of this hurry up attitude, instead pleading with the kid to "take my hand". Come on man... I can't help but fell like they spent too much time giving these different game modes and not enough and the in-game decisions and actions.
Speaking of action, the shooting is just like the previous 2 games. Take cover, pop some shots, use your power wheel to help take down the baddies, move to the next area and repeat. Not that that's a bad thing, I had a good time throwing singularity at the enemies, lifting them off the ground from behind cover so I could shoot their helpless bodies as they floated in the air. If this was your favorite part of the ME series, then you'll love this demo. Nowhere in the demo was I able to customize my armor or guns or pilot the Normandy spacecraft around the galaxy (my favorite parts of ME1).
As for the multiplayer, well it's just a horde mode, there's no vs which is a bit of a disappointment. I didn't have too much fun playing it either. The objectives weren't very clear nor was it clear who you were shooting at as some of your allies can look a bit like the enemy depending on their class and species.
I really wonder if EA/Bioware had not spent the time worrying about multiplayer, kinect, and the useless story & action modes, that the game would be out already. Either that or the main story could be better or longer (but I don't know how good or bad that is yet). As it is, team Gouki is only buying one copy of this game, as we don't feel a need to play the horde mode.

Mass effect three has a short gameplay video out showing off some of the Kinect features, and another just showing us how awesome this game will be.
Mass Effect 3 has been much awaited by many fans of the series, and we're finally seeing a little bit of gameplay. Unfortunately they're mostly trying to show off the kinect features, but at least it's not Kinect required, and the features they threw in don't really seem like they'll make gameplay worse. Simple voice commands are okay in my book. (as long as they work)
Here's a more lengthy gameplay video as well. Showing off some great action.
They've also unleashed a slew of screenshots as well.
I haven't played any of the Mass effect games yet, but this definitely makes the series look appealing. Mass Effect 3 is said to be hitting shelves on March 6 2012, and they've already announced a collectors edition.
-Premium metal case featuring commemorative artwork of Commander Shepard
-70-page hardbound art book featuring hundreds of unique and gorgeous illustrations from the BioWare development team plus an exclusive 4x6 lithographic print featuring a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork
-Limited edition Mass Effect comic by Dark Horse Comics, complete with unique cover artwork
-Join the ranks of the N7 with the premium fabric N7 patch
-A full collection of in-game content that can't be found anywhere else!
And it'll be $79.99

The "Fall of Earth" is great and all, but it will be super disappointing if you aren't travelling around the galaxy.
