Typical Bioware ... turning 1 of their games into an MMO. Okay maybe Mass Effect 3 isn't quite the MMO co-op multiplayer experience SOME of you may want, but here it is. Different classes and races, your choices affect main story, and play with friends.
According to ME3's Facebook page, don't expect ME3 until the first quarter of 2012
We're still a month from E3, but already we've got our first major release date "adjustment" of the season. I fully expect to see a few more of these "TBA 2011" games slip into next year. This is a little dissapointing, but the last Mass Effect slipped into January too, so not entirely unexpected.

The latest scoop and rumors on the 2 Mass Effect Movies suddenly announced. One has already begun production. The other could be the most expensive 3D movie ever made.
The first Mass Effect movie is rumored to star Clive Owen as Commander Shepard.
This version will be rated R and directed more to the average gamer. The story takes place right after the end of Mass Effect 3 and will have a lot of focus on action.
EA says: "This is because the end of Mass Effect 3 didn't actually mean anything. There will be a huge space battle at the end of this movie."
This Renegade Commander Shepard will be a soldier and only fight with guns. The back story is that this Shepard was full on Renegade and that everyone he crossed paths with that he could piss off or kill, he did. Filming is to start 1 year from today and the release date has not been revealed.
The second Mass Effect movie will star Lucy Lawless as a Paragon Commander Shepard.
This version is rated PG-13 and will be more for you Twilight Jimmys. Dubbed "The Paragon Version" immediately went into production after the Hunger Games made like $150 million the first weekend. Expect to see a lot of story and more emphasis on how difficult it is to make some decisions while in space.
EA says: "Expect this Shepard to be a 'Galaxy Gal' that everyone admires. A real role model for young girls."
This Shepard will be an Engineer, specializing in tech gadgets and computers. Rumor: she even flies the Normandy at one point. The deal with this version is that it's going to be the exact opposite of the "Men's" version. So this Shepard is going to have all the support in the galaxy. There's potential to see Wrex and some of the other characters that will be dead in the Renegade version.
Other Casting news:
- Seth Green has already signed on to play Joker in Both movies.
- The Chick who plays Whitney on NBC will play Miranda in the Paragon Version.
- Michael Clarke Duncan & Ving Rhames will both play Krogan's in the Renegade version.
- Justin Bieber will be Kadien Alenko in the Paragon version.
Warning drunken rant ahead. I was not sober while taking notes last night during the VGA's. I'm barely sober now. I'm just going to copy over my notes. Read on with care. Don't be a Jimmy!
Batman Arkham City - Dissapointing pre-rendered trailer.
Elder Scrolls Skyrim 11/11/11 - Pre-rendered bullshit. *Not a Tuesday.
Kratos IS official in Mortal Kombat. Pre-rendered trailer didn't show shit.
Thor game announced = Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Cliffy B backed out of his appearance at the last second. If he was going to make a Kinect announcement for Gears of War 3, I think he realized this may have not been the place. *There was no Kinect or Move talk at all during the VGA's.
Gran Turismo 5 - My Chemical Romance performance was the epitome of that game. Reh-tard!
Mass Effect 3 - Pre-rendered bullshit again. We are however, going to Earth. Holiday 2011.
Call of Duty Black Ops = Best Shooter - translates to bullshit. There must be a thousand videos on youtube of people complaining about how terrible it is.
Resistance 3 = Irrelevant. 9/06/2011
Prototype 2 - 2012 = Negative. The people don't care about 2012 bullshit right now. Prototype was a game that dropped in retail just as fast as Kane and Lynch 2. I couldn't even give my copy away.
Insane from Guillermo del Toro. Release date 2013?! WTF seriously? We're gonna hold you to it Guillermo del Toro, when this game never comes out. To Schmidt.
SSX Deadly Decent. Cinderkin and BatRastered were creaming their pants. I don't know why.
John Marston IS NOT the character of the year. They give it to the nuab from COD. To make things worse Spike sucks off Neil Patrick Harris center stage and give him best voice actor for Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions. A game nobody played and nobody will EVER remember for having Neil Patrick Harris in it.

Personally I'd rather be watching a sexy ass run around than some Jimmy. I've always chosen to be a female character in games for that reason. Female Shepard from Mass Effect is been special. She spoke and renegade style ... love the attitude.
Didn't the Jimmys of the internet choose a blonde to be the face of the female Shepard? Doesn't matter now I guess. Good, I don't care. Can I still import my save file with my previous design? Can't wait to smack bitches and fuck blue aliens in Mass Effect 3.

Uh oh! The cover art for Mass Effect 3 was posted on the EA website for a very very brief period of time. It may have been by accident, but who knows. What we do know is that it showed the purple banner for Kinect on it. Check it out.
At first your thinking, this is cool we get to see the box art. On the other hand this spells trouble for the next installment to the Mass Effect franchise. I own a Kinect, and barely use it, I hope that they can make these hardcore titles work for the peripheral. As of right now though I am highly skeptical of this. Kinect better not ruin Mass Effect 3.
Tell us what you think in the comments. Don't be a Jimmy!
A new gameplay video emerges from Gamescom, Mass Effect 3 will definitely bring the action.
I really hope that Bioware brings the RPG element as well as they do the shooting this time around. The first Mass Effect still does something for me that ME2 didn't. Here's some more squad based action.

Mass effect three has a short gameplay video out showing off some of the Kinect features, and another just showing us how awesome this game will be.
Mass Effect 3 has been much awaited by many fans of the series, and we're finally seeing a little bit of gameplay. Unfortunately they're mostly trying to show off the kinect features, but at least it's not Kinect required, and the features they threw in don't really seem like they'll make gameplay worse. Simple voice commands are okay in my book. (as long as they work)
Here's a more lengthy gameplay video as well. Showing off some great action.
They've also unleashed a slew of screenshots as well.
I haven't played any of the Mass effect games yet, but this definitely makes the series look appealing. Mass Effect 3 is said to be hitting shelves on March 6 2012, and they've already announced a collectors edition.
-Premium metal case featuring commemorative artwork of Commander Shepard
-70-page hardbound art book featuring hundreds of unique and gorgeous illustrations from the BioWare development team plus an exclusive 4x6 lithographic print featuring a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork
-Limited edition Mass Effect comic by Dark Horse Comics, complete with unique cover artwork
-Join the ranks of the N7 with the premium fabric N7 patch
-A full collection of in-game content that can't be found anywhere else!
And it'll be $79.99
Are you guys hyped for Mass Effect 3? Let us know in the comments.
The "Fall of Earth" is great and all, but it will be super disappointing if you aren't travelling around the galaxy.

Bioware has finally released the extended cut of the Mass Effect 3 ending. What's different? Did it fix anything? Should you care? Read on!
Yeah, if you haven't finished ME3 by now, you probably don't care, so here we go...
First the Good:
I had a couple of big problems continuity-wise with the original ending. Namely, I had James on my squad at the end, and then he somehow shows up on the Normandy when it crash lands on another planet. Speaking of which, when did the Normandy start to run away from Earth?
Well, those two problems were fixed in the new ending... a sequence where your squad mates take a hit at the end and get "evac" by the Normandy. It doesn't make much sense narratively as you are supposed to be pushing towards the beam "at all costs" and here Shepard stops, reverses direction and waits for his friend Jimmy to get picked up by the Normandy... but at least it explains HOW they got on the Normandy. Later, once the crucible is ready to fire, we get an additional scene where Joker (and the rest of the fleet) is ordered to retreat and does so hesitantly. Only a couple of seconds of screen time there, but it filled that hole nicely.
The Mass Relays no longer explode, but are merely "damaged". This is good because as ME's own story says, blowing up a relay would destroy the star system, so having them blow up in the original ending seemingly doomed the galaxy.
The epilogs, all three of them, let you know what happened to the galaxy after your choice was made. This was a big oversight by the original endings and is wrapped up, three different ways by the new ending.
There is a new, fourth option, if you decide that Shepard should be able to do what she wants and not be pigeon holed into these choices.... Check it out here:
Okay... onto the Bad:
As I mentioned above, the evac scene, while it filled a continuity plot hole, didn't make any sense in a do-or-die "at all costs" battle scene.
The three different epilogs were all still scenes (not animated) and were the same (with some minor color modifications) for all three choices, just the voice over was different.
Now the crashed Normandy takes off again at the end... WTF? Why have it crash in the first place? Similarly, the reapers that flee the planet (depending on your choice) now come back to help rebuild... they just took off and landed again, LOL. This goes to show how confusing the original ending was.
Finally, the Ugly
The star-kid ghost thing is still there, and still makes very little sense, and the green, blue, or red space magic explosions still don't really explain what's happening.
The new cut scenes glitched up on me a couple of times, freezing one image on the screen while others played over top of it.
Overall, I'm glad they decided to release this dlc... especially as it's FREE. It actually feels like an ending now despite still having some issues. That said, it's not really worth your time to download this and replay the ending sequence just to see one of the endings... just youtube 'em. If you're playing through again (to do the opposite paragon/renegade track or side quests you missed) it's worth having this downloaded so you'll see a full ending.
Why promo videos for games are bullshit. Here's a prime example. *Paid actors or Jimmys that are getting an exclusive story and feel that they have to give a positive review.
First of all. You can clearly see the delay with the voice command in every clip. Pushing a button and even pausing the game to switch to whatever gun you desire is way faster.
"I don't even have to pause the game." Nuab in the video.
Take a close look while watching this video and check out the command list. The size of it is bigger than the TV. Does that come with the game? Or is that in some special edition?
Finally the last Jimmy in the video, the closing line ... "I've never played Mass Effect, but I'll certainly play this one." Yeah right. Then this guy doesn't even mention the Kinect feature, which he was there demoing in the first place.
Kinect still doesn't do it for me. I will not be buying a Kinect anytime soon, even if to play Mass Effect 3. Just give me my controller and I'll be fine.
