SSF4 Akuma Combo Video by Desk

By: Cinderkin Jan 24, 2011 | 11 Comments

Desk the guy who brought you countless combo videos and world record attempts with Chun-Li is back. This time it features Akuma doing some amazing combos. Check it out!

Desk offered up these notes on the clip.

In Super Street Fighter IV, the start-up of Akuma's st. RH was increased in order to stop his Vanilla SFIV loop [st. jab, st. RH] repeat.

Under normal circumstances it isn't actually possible to combo into the st. RH. Every instance of it happening in this video is after a jab that cunningly avoids it's first active frame (i.e. it connects 'meaty').

Extra effort was made to avoid using training mode, in fact one of the combos in this video is actually impossible in training mode. Also, I have attempted to demonstrate the wide variety of characters on which Akuma can loop his st. RH.

Desk is back with a new Execution Exhibition video this time featuring El Fuerte and Abel. This is really cool if you're looking to get your execution down with these characters. Check it out.

Youtube Description:

Not a combo video as such, more an exhibition of what the featured characters are capable of. Each clip is essentially a 'set piece' that you could practice, to aid in improving execution and general consistency. The HQ, close-up stick footage and detailed, real-time transcript is present to help you along, if you want to be hardcore :)

He's currently taking votes on which of the twins [Yun/Yang] will feature in my premiere SSFIV:AE video. Whoever get the most votes (Yun/Yang) will be the subject of a dedicated character combo video on June 7th.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 The Last Hurrah Volumes 1, 2 and 3

By: Caj814 Nov 14, 2011 | 2 Comments

Ever since Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was announced I decided it would be a fitting tribute to put together all the ideas I had from playing and try to push barriers within the combo system as far as I could before November 15.

and with that. . .to Ultimate.

EMPER0RC0W has made quite a few combo videos for the upcoming Dead or Alive 5 game. As before these are of a pre release build of the game.

Another DOA5 combo video this time using Christie. Christie's Style relies heavily on evasive moves in DOA5, not only in defense but in maximizing offensive damage as well. I tried to show how these evasive moves from her new stance (Jakeiho) can be used for extending damage. In addition to the guaranteed setups from sitdown stuns and critical burst, I showed some examples on how you can guarantee followups from her limbo stun (the stun where the opponent arches their back as if they're doing the limbo). These types of stuns cannot be held out of, making them pretty deadly in a hold heavy game like DOA.

Another video demonstrating the combo potential in DOA5, this time using Sarah. In this video I tried to focus on more of her guaranteed setups from 2 in 1 Launchers, to Just frame moves, to sit down stuns, to turn around stuns to critical burst. This should also be interesting to the VF players looking to transition into DOA5 as Sarah's move properties and combo potential in this game are quite different.

Here is a compilation of some Kasumi Combos I came up with on the Gamescom Build of DOA5 (Ver. 0.75) that I managed to record at i46. Weather these combos will remain possible in the final version or not is still unknown (but most likely they will be).

I've always been a fan of Kasumi and Sarah (VF) so these were pretty sweet. What did you think?

KOF XIII Max Cancel Combo

By: blazemanx Jul 14, 2011 | 5 Comments

A video showing off the max cancel system of KOF XIII

The max cancel system from what i can tell is similar to the MVC3 DHC. Although insted of canceling into a partners super you cancel into a more powerful super of your own. With all the SFXT and SSF4AE and MVC3 talk KOF XIII is deep under the radar. This video is a game changer and by that i mean it can sway those who are on the fence about buying it. Take a look for yourself and see why KOF XIII has the goods. Let us know what you think and don't be a jimmy.

Cammy and Dudley SSF4 Combo Videos

By: Cinderkin Oct 24, 2010 | 6 Comments

Satwiden posted new SSF4 combo videos for Dudley and Cammy. All 4 clips are edited very nicely and have parts synced to the music. Check them out!

My favorites are Cammy, and Dudley part 2. The music in part 2 was too good. Great combos all around.
