Oh it's real Jimmy and it's Korean! WTF?!
Just today the Jimmys released a bunch of new videos showing off some of the environments and player vs player stuff. It's too bad that this game could almost be considered a fake. Apparently they don't have the license to show or use anything from Dragonball that anyone would recognize. The Nameks don't even look like Nameks. There's no Saiyans. The other race is Buu's race, which I thought was just an evil spirit.
This looks terrible and if it ever makes it to the states at this rate I'll be suprirsed. I don't want to play this. I'll wait for The Old Republic and Final Fantasy XIV. Jimmy! Check out these videos below and decided for yourself, the last video is the PvP.

Bioware is looking for people to beta test their next MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic.
You could test the next big MMO! Yes, you! Bioware announced that they're hunting for people to beta test their huge MMO project, Star Wars: The Old Republic. If you go to the official site, you can apply to become a tester. (As of print, the site is still down due to response; the site does, however, claim that it should be active again within hours.)
For those who aren't in the loop, The Old Republic is official part of the Knights of the Old Republic universe. The developer claims that there will be enough content in the game to fill ten or more sequels, which is an almost overwhelming amount of content. Bioware's pedigree with the Star Wars franchise leads me to believe this might be the best Star Wars game yet, and it's a really safe bet that it's going to make Galaxies look like crap. Oh wait...Galaxies already looks like crap. There is no doubt a legion of Star Wars fans foaming at the mouth to get their hands on the game before the general public, but there is one thing that should be kept in mind: this is a beta test, so don't expect it to be super polished and bug-free; you're not getting the final product. If it were super polished and bug-free, they wouldn't need you.
Jimmy! This one is for you. A online Dragon Ball world.
The real Jimmy, FnJimmy called me a few weeks and told me about an online Dragon Ball game. I searched the internet real quick and couldn't find anything. He said he saw a game play trailer. I didn't believe him. He hallucinates.
Then today it happens. CoryO sends me a link to this ...
You can read more at this site http://www.dbmmo.com/
Looks like the first beta has ended already and that the game is in Japanese. Come on now! Dragon Ball is worldwide Jimmy!
Marvel must have seen the epic fail from DC
Thank you Gamasutra for some good news. http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/34357/Gazillion_Confirms_Marvel_Universe_MMO_As_Free_To_Play_Reveals_Writer.php
PC gamers can celebrate, console gamers still don't have a confirmation on the game though. Gazillion is letting Secret Identity develope it. But they say it is at least a year from release. They also mentio no create a character so we will be playing as the big names of Marvel. Brian Michael Bendis is the lead writer so that is comforting. But it looks like Dr. Doom is going to be the main villian.
So we get some good and some bad, but at least we are getting info on the game. I know I'm looking forward to playing as Ghost Rider or Gambit even if it means playing on the PC. Seeing a thousand Wolverines running around will be sad, but hopefully they offer a wide range of characters.
Who do you want to play as? Are you hoping for PvP fights? Let's hear it.
PC MMO Free Realms has come to PSN and is now available for free download, but is it your type of game?
Free Realms is a MMO with many capabilities and activities to keep you busy. The game features Demolition Racing, character customization with classes, pets that poop coal, fighting monsters, mounts, building houses and lots more.
The only problem is that the game is extremely Disney-Esque, making it very unapealing to most mature gamers, which is a shame due to how much you can do in this game. You could treat it as a MMO and lvl up raiding dungeons, or you could be into Minecraft type of games and build houses, or just chill with your friends doing random crap. The game does feature voice chat and trophies though, so with the right friends it could be pretty entertaining.
And if you want more, the membership upgrade is optional, starting a $4.99 per month. Membership grants you unlimited access to all jobs, as well as premium content such as housing, trophies, exclusive items, and monthly members rewards. Whoopie.
The game sounded pretty interesting until I saw the trailer you are about to view below, uploaded by http://www.youtube.com/user/YahooGamesVideos
Anyone going to give this a try? A couple of my friends and I might try to see if we can make any fun out of it, if we can get past the visual Cheese, it should be loads of fun. Let us know what you think in a comment below.

Not 6 months after being announced that Lego Universe is free to play, Lego Universe announces they are turning off the servers. Will history repeat itself with DCUO.
I'm a huge lego fan. I don't build for fun. I've played most of the Lego Star Wars, well when they were cool like 10 years ago. News come today that the Lego Universe MMO will be shutting down on January 31, 2012 at Midnight. What? You didn't even know there was a Lego MMO? Oh well that probably didn't help.

Hello Adventurer, today we are very sad to announce that LEGO® Universe will be closing on January 31, 2012. This was a very difficult decision to make, but unfortunately LEGO Universe has not been able to attract the number of members needed to keep the game open.
We realize how sad this will make the many players who have enjoyed LEGO Universe and we are committed to providing open communication with both kids and parents as we transition through this difficult time. We understand this is a challenging change and apologize for not being able to give parents forewarning before the general announcement.
We are thankful to have had the opportunity to share this adventure with an amazing community of players. We hope you will continue to enjoy LEGO Universe for the last few months. As a thank you, if you are a paying subscriber on December 31, 2011, we will provide you the full game for the final month for free.
Again, we want to thank the fantastic community of players who made LEGO Universe such a vibrant, fun and creative experience.
The LEGO Universe Team
The game will be turned off on January 31, 2012 at midnight (EST).
All current subscribers (1, 6 or 12 month plans) who still have active subscriptions on December 31 will receive a refund for any remaining game time remaining after December 31 as well as free play from January 1, 2012 until January 31.
For example, if you purchased a 6-month subscription on September 1, 2011 (which would expire on February 29, 2012), you would be refunded $16.66 for the 2 months following December 31.
We will begin processing all refunds on February 1, 2012. All refunds will be made to the credit card used for the original subscription.
If your subscription expires before December 31 you will need to purchase an additional 1 month subscription by December 31 in order to get the free game play in January (again, any unused game time as of December 31 will be refunded.)
LEGO Universe game cards can only be used until December 1st 2011. Unused game cards after December 1st can be converted to LEGO Shop @Home gift cards for the same value.
Please note: Details on how to convert unused game cards will be posted on December 1.
You can continue to enjoy the free to play zone until January 31, 2012 but your last chance to convert to a paying subscription is December 31, 2011.
Expect lots to change with brink
Let me start with what caught my attention.
The anti-no-skill-kills rundown:-- The focus is on team play and using your particular skills to help your squad achieve objectives.
-- The XP system rewards you for fulfilling objectives and helping teammates, rather than racking up kills.
-- No airstrikes, and no kill-streak reward abilities that can't be countered.
-- No grenade spam. Grenade-throwing is timed, and the weapons knock opponents down, but don't kill them instantly.
-- Overhauled sniping. No traditional one-shot, one-kill sniper rifles here!

PSO, one of the best MMO's up to date has had many so-so versions. Here comes an exciting sequel to Ep 1-2!
Uploaded by http://www.youtube.com/user/InitialF7
BEAUTIFUL! You can fucking JUMP! And the gunplay looks really fun ( and I never liked the ranged classes before). The game looks a lot mroe mobile and flashy, only concern is that it keeps the same feel of the original PSO EP1-2 on Dreamcast and Gamecube. All the PSO's after that tried some cool new stuff, but they also wern't as fun. Any hardcore PSO fans here on gouki.com? Leave a comment on what you think of the gameplay!
Also, Alpha testing will start in Japan this Summer, hopefully exciting gameplay will be uploaded.

It might not be until 2013 or something, but Bethesda may have begun or is just getting started on a Fallout MMO. Read this press release about the lawsuit.
This just came over from Bethesda and I thought you Jimmys might like to read it. This letter is pretty interesting, it describes a lot of the lawsuit and turmoil over a Fallout MMO. Good news is that Bethesda owns ALL of the rights now and they can make one if they want.Read full story...
Not much details but still enough to get my attention.
The game will be here sometime next year, that is 90% of the info we got. The other is that Jagex and Hasbro are teaming up. I know I'll be waiting on more details, anyone else?
Don't be a Jimmy! Are you wanting all real characters? Customization? Or just not to be bother with it?
I heard about it last year, still no release date, but we have some screens.
Last year I heard there was a Marvel MMO coming out eventually thanks to Gamasutra and got hype with almost no details.
Check this link if you want to see round 1 http://gouki.com/Story/Details/marvel-universe-mmo-will-be-free-to-play
Here is a look at alt. costumes from the Hulk (Planet Hulk) and Spider-man.
Oh look what is that almost dead center on the screen? Deadpool! Kind of hard to tell with the others but at the bottom that looks a lot like Northstar or even Quiksilver. And it could just be wishful thinking, but the guy to the far left in the line with Deadpool looks Gambit like to me. (check the source link for the screen shot, it doesn't want to cooperate here)
And no surprise there is Spider-man.
And a Hawkeye teaser from the facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/marvelheroes
With a quick look Emma Frost (White Queen), Storm, Colossus, Black Widow, Ms. Marvel, Cyclops, Thor, Captain America, Thing, Wolverine, Iron Man, and I even saw Magneto playable in the video.
So already my hype is building back up. And E3 is so close maybe we'll see some more. Maybe a special request to check it Goukijones?
They say they are using the Unreal 3 engine. Not exactly cutting edge, but not the worse choice out there.
We will be playing as major Marvel characters, but we will be able to customize them based on their various costumes. They are including Squirrel Girl and Cable, so they are reaching into the reseres instead of just an Avenger like line up. Randomly generated environments are not my favorite, but I can overlook that. They'll be Savage Land, Hell's Kitchen (guess we'll see Daredevil), Midtown Manhattan, the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning and Mutant Town.
Brian Michael Bendis is officailly on as the writer. So that is comforting, they could have tried to put any clown in the driver seat.
And with Gazillion Entertainment behind it they have the experience of Diablo and Diablo 2 behind them. Not feeling as half-assed as I feared in the beginning.
And here is there official page http://www.marvelheroes.com/
Let's not forget the reveal trailer.
My source this time around was http://nerdreactor.com/2012/05/22/marvel-heroes-freetoplay-mmo-announced/
So there you have it. Vote, Share, Comment, and don't be a jimmy!
