Have you seen this game? I've been hype since I first saw and played Dragon's Dogma at last years E3. Capcom has released new gameplay videos and announced an official release date ... Right when everyone is going to be talking about E3.
The E3 dead zone is the 2 weeks before and after E3. Usually games that come out at that time are quickly forgotten about or shoved down our throat at E3. Games that come out the same week as E3, forget about it. Nobody is going to be talking about that shit. People are going to play Dragon's Dogma and I think it will sell well. Dragon Age heads should be interested. But to release games at a time when everyone is going to be talking about E3 stuff and especially this year when the announcement of NEW HARDWARE might be made, could be a bad idea. You can tell me later if you're going to be buying this game on release day.
First up is a 30 second teaser trailer. With 0 gameplay, but shows the incredible art design with computer graphics. The actual game isn't so far off. Most games are like that now. With the new hardware coming soon, we shouldn't be able to tell the difference. All games cut scenes will be done with the same in-game engine. At least until we go back to LIVE ACTION!
So there was that info that came out just yesterday about the release date AND exclusive Resident Evil 6 demo code or something. Let it be clear it's EARLY ACCESS to the Resident Evil demo AND it's only for XBOX 360. Don't be a Jimmy! Enough though about Resident Evil 6. We'll play that at E3 and FnJimmy will for sure let you know how it's going down.
From Capcom:
CAPCOM CONFIRMS DRAGON’S DOGMA TO SHIP THIS MAY
Xbox 360® Purchasers to Get Early Access to Resident Evil®6 Demo
SAN MATEO, Calif. — Jan. 31, 2012 — Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games today confirmed that Dragon’s Dogma™, its highly anticipated open world action title, will be released for the Xbox 360 ® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system in North America on May 22, 2012 and across Europe on May 25, 2012. Capcom is also pleased to announce that purchasers of Dragon’s Dogma will have the opportunity to be the first to experience a playable demo of Resident Evil® 6, ahead of its release on Nov. 20, 2012.
So if you're an upfront melee type Jimmy the fighter class will be for you. The two videos below show off some pretty sweet looking combat. The enemies have unlimited HP so whoever is playing THIS DEMO can just beat the shit out of them to show off what the games does. You can see special moves like parry, sheild bash, and rush downs. Also in the second video note the goblins using the horn. Perhaps calling for reinforcements? Looks awesome!
Personally I always pick a stealth class. Daggers, bow and arrow and other sneaky shit so I can fuck with everyone in the game. This Strider class is kinda like a rogue/thief. He's got a Scorpion "Get over here!" move just like the Jimmy in Reckoning. Also during this fight the wolves seem to be extremely coordinated in their attacks and that is going to be awesome with some other groups of monsters in the game. I can only imagine. In the second video there's an arrow shot, similar to a move in Dragon Age II. Only difference I see in Dragon's Dogma and Dragon's Age II is that in Dogma, nothing seems canned or set up. All of the moves and fighting seem to just happen in real time. Although now that I'm writing this I remember there is no HUD in any of these videos. So could be bullshit.
