Plan on leveling any Gathering DoL Class? Check out this guide in best gear for those levels. (20-30)

The most important thing about gathering (especially while leveling) is not missing. Every miss is a waste of time. So I think having maxed out gear, jammed full of Materia is the best way to go. Here’s a list of what I was wearing from level 20-25. I make all of my own gear & add my own Materia.

Add materia however you like. i prefer as much Perception I can fit on the piece. I think gathering HQ for the money return is more important than anything else. ESPECIALLY has you get in to higher levels. Let's face it, at this point in the game, if you are a level 30 gatherer in all 3 classes you can pick up a lot of expensive ingredients for synths. No your markets. Right now Beast Sinew is selling like crazy because you can only get that from low level mobs. There seems to be a lot less Jimmys leveling those low levels. I know that has nothing to do with gathering, but knowing what part of what recipe is from a particular DoL is very important. Know your LEVE's. I cannot stress that enough.

For the Level 25-30 stuff, here are the mats required:

Aldgoat Leather 2

Fish Glue 1

White Coral 2

Toadskin Leather 2

Cotton Cloth 2

Iron Ingot 2

Diremite Sinew 1

Rubber 1

Silver Ingot 2

Mudstone Whestone 1

Dew Thread 3

Velveteen Cloth 3

Weapons:

Iron Ingot 3

Iron Plate 1

Walnut Lumber 2

Aldgoat Leather 1

Chocobo Feather 1

Yew Lumber 1

Mudstone Whestone 1

This only makes 3 weapons. The level 26 Novice's Sledgehammer can not be made. It is only from the guild quest. So don't trade or sell it if you want a level 26 Sledgehammer. Otherwise the next Sledgehammer is like level 30.
