With Skarlet showing great combo potential, Kenshi displays great promise with a slick blade to incorporate into his fighting techniques. His blinding speed gives him access to after image abilities that enable him to take down his enemies with precision.
Kenshi is the downloadable character players will go to if Skarlet wasn't their cup of tea. Below are some videos I felt to be useful in learning his fighting potential.
Kenshi's most notable advantage is his sword, which in turn gives him great range to apply in a number of situations. I look forward to trying out this slick Ryu looking samurai. In addition, here is a link to the backround story to who Kenshi is in case any of you are interested: http://mortalkombat.wikia.com/wiki/Kenshi
Along with these new characters hitting our systems, we cannot forget the original secret characters and how we first encountered them in earlier titles. Below are instructions on how to fight the original secret characters in Arcade.
Jade Secret Battle: During the Shang Tsung Battle, you must win both rounds without getting hit once. This is called a “Double Flawless Victory”, you then must finish the evil sorcerer off by performing a Fatality. Do this successfully and you should be taken to fight a hidden secret battle against the rmerald green female ninja, Jade. Jade appeared as a Secret Battle in Mortal Kombat 2

Noob Saibot Secret Battle: During a fight on the “Temple” Stage, keep an eye on the background for Noob Saibot to pop up. If he does, then you will need to win that round without using Block. If done successfully, you’ll be taken to fight Noob Saibot! Noob Saibot is so named by reversing the names of the two creators of Mortal Kombat: John Tobias and Ed Boon. He first appeared in Mortal Kombat 2 as a “Shadow” Ninja, but was unplayable. You could only fight against him as a Secret Battle. He then appeared as an unlockable playable character in Mortal Kombat 3 and subsequent titles like Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and Mortal Kombat Trilogy.

Reptile Secret Battle: While playing on the stage known as “The Pit 2 (Night)”, keep your eye on the moon. If a shadowy figure flies across the Moon, then you must beat both rounds against your opponent without getting hit a single time. If your energy bar is completely full at the end of both rounds, you’ll earn a “Double Flawless” victory. You’ll need to finish this awesome feat off by performing a Fatality against your opponent. Do so and you’ll be taken to a Secret Battle against the Green Ninja known as “Reptile”. Reptile was the first ever “Secret Character” and appeared as a Secret Battle in Mortal Kombat 1, where you could fit him at the bottom of the Pit stage! So this is a very cool homage to that secret for MK fans.

Cyber Smoke Secret Battle: In a definite homage to Mortal Kombat 2, you can fight against Robo Smoke by keeping an eye on the trees in the background of “The Living Forest” stage. Fans of Mortal Kombat 2 will remember that Jade and Smoke would peek out from behind the trees, suggesting a secret pertaining to them. Which proved to be true as you could fight against both characters. In MKII a shadow also would fly across the Moon at this stage, some people think it was Noob Saibot in shadow form, thus hinting at all three hidden characters in one stage for those with keen eyes. Thankfully these secrets have been integrated into the Living Forest Stage. As mentioned above, wait for Cyber Smoke to appear in the background and peek out from one of the trees. If he does, at that moment, press Down+Back repeatedly. If done successfully, you will fight against the Cybernetic Robot in a Secret Battle! This is the only time you get to see Smoke in his robot form, as he is unplayable in the game! Hopefully he will be released as DLC.

I will always enjoy secret characters in video games. They truly bring replay value to the game. Hope you enjoyed this story.
