What’s Up With The "Borderlands" Movie?

Director swap for reshoots.

The word on the movie circuit is that Eli Roth, the director of the Borderlands movie, will not be doing the reshoots as he has moved on to make his “Thanksgiving Grindhouse” film. Eli Roth will still get director credits and I don’t believe this is a Justice League type situation where we’ll hear “Release The Miller Cut!” Although this is still a little strange.

Tim Miller who directed “Deadpool” and “Terminator: Dark Fate” will take over for the reshoots. Jeez man, when is this movie coming out? Borderlands The Movie was announced 2 years ago. Last year we got an “update” from Randy Pitchford who said “Lionsgate will tell us when they are ready to share more”. So not much going on there. Hopefully with this news that Tim Miller is going to step in and help with the reshoots, maybe we’ll get a trailer sometime in the next 6 months. I am dying to see what this movie looks like in action.

The Borderlands movie was always probably going to come out in 2023 anyway. So let’s hope we get to see something soon. Everything that has been teased or described sounds great. Give us some more stuff Lionsgate! Let’s go!
