Is this the next Left for Dead or something more?
Dead Island seems to be a new survial take on zombies. Since it takes place in a Island, players must make maintain health, weapan and stamina balance. For instance, if you throw a knife, you better pick it up, chances are, you won't find another one soon. Like what you see? Let us know!

E3 just hurt Nintendo
So here's how it goes. Nintendo shows us the Wii U, the next day thier stock drops 5 percent. The next day it drops another 5 percent. For those of you who struggle with math that's a 10 percent drop in just 2 days. The stock hasn't been this low since before the Wii 5 years ago.
I personally lost faith in nintendo when they made the N64, I hated that thing. I got my start with games back on the NES and still love it. Then the SNES had some incredible games. But the N64 had a control that I didn't like and a ton of kids games. So I became a Sony guy. But they still own the rights to some great characters. So for years I've joked that they need to just stick to games and forget these consoles that I'm not a fan of. But I'ld rather have to play a Wii than lose the characters completely.
And I am sure that investors were looking for something big out of E3, but the Wii U just wasn't what they wanted. This doesn't really hurt the company but it might serve as a wake-up call. The 3DS has not done anywhere near as well as they expected. What do you think about this? Is there someway for Nintendo to win you back? Or are you not bothered by any of this?

Gouki.com got a demonstration of the Furious 4 that is a radical departure from past Brothers in Arms games.
Gearbox software has been busy. Not only have they resurrected the Duke, but they've been working on an Aliens game and this new take on the Brothers in Arms universe. Randy Varnell of Gearbox assures us that we haven't seen the last of Matt Baker, the company will make a return to the traditional Brothers in Arms WWII shooter in "the future"... whenever that is, we'll let you know. In the meantime, enjoy this trailer of the Furious 4.
Furious 4 will be a four player co-operative shooter with skill upgrades (think Borderlands, in fact I'm pretty sure I saw the logo for Mordecai's Fast Hands skill in there). Unlike Borderlands, teammates don't just pop in and out of the world, instead there are individual missions at the end of which you and your cohorts will be given a summary of the destruction you've caused. Inquiries as to whether there will be a competitive multiplayer as well were met with "no comment".
The four characters have different skills, for instance Montana (the heavy gunner of the group) had a bear trap that would ensnare enemies temporarilly, allowing your teammates to pick them off. The trap could be upgraded to include a grenade, for even more fun and destruction.
To be sure, Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 was not what we were expecting and it's not a direct sequel to the previous games, it's more of an alternate universe take on the series. That said, Furious 4 is looking like fun so far. Stay tuned to Gouki.com for updates as we hear more about this game.
Here is the full press release:

Thanks to Randy Varnell and his crew for the demo.
As long as the trailer starts out with choking a little girl, you shouldn't have any worries.
On a side note: Ken Levine talking on stage last night at the Sony Press Conference, was talking about adding move support. He sounded totally unsure of himself and the story he told made it sound like Sony forced it on him. Either way, I don't care. I'll use the controller thanks.

These videos look good, but I'm just getting another DLC pack for Black Ops, why the rush?
I guess they showed this on the Microsoft press confrence since they get the DLC first. As you see the gameplay you can see that these systems aren't dead yet. The graphics for in came look better than some of the CG in other games.
But with these games being put out so ofter I hesitate to buy another one. The DLC is still a week away from bieng released on the PS3, but they have another game coming this soon. I can understand that they want to cash in. But are they just putting these games out to close together? They don't really change very much from game to game, so you are mostly paying for new levels. Right now Just the base game and two DLC packs have people out $90 and now they want to see another $60. And there will be another one, and another one. When will gamers get tired of having their wallets get hit constantly? You add some underwater play, that's cool but what else will really be new?
I enjoy the games offline, but the multi-player is what keeps these games popular and if you release them this close together you will kill off that fan base. Hell I probably wouldn't have COD Black Ops on my shelf if it was for being able to play online with friends and family.
Dragon's Dogma looks amazing, but how does it play? Team Gouki got hands-on with this new Capcom RPG at E3 2011. 7 Minutes of gameplay featuring the Chimera battle and FnJimmy's exclusive take.
Before I get into the FnJimmy take and the 7 minutes video let me just tell you, I am hype for this game. This was the first game I played at E3 this year and I was terrible at it. I fought the Griffin, like you've seen from the video. I had no idea what was going on, later I figured out that I was supposed to coordinate with my party to take down the giant flying Jimmy bird. The load screen that shows you the button is hilarious. I've never seen so many commands for one game.
I got my butt kicked by that Griffin, I'm sure if I had a little more experience with the game, I would have raiped it. I don't know how I feel about the party system just yet. You can see in the video below that graphics -especially when the Chimera finally dies- needs a little work. I guess we'll have to wait and see when the game is released sometime in 2012. Sad face.
7 Minutes of Gameplay and FnJimmy's Exclusive Take
This is about half of the video they were showing behind the scenes at E3
Let's start by saying I was dying for this game since before they announced it. I have loved the Elder Scrolls series. You get to run around in a very open world, build your character however you choose, kill anyone and anything you want (sometimes it screws up the story and stops you from being able to finish the game) and play however you feel like it.
But with the 5th game in the series they have added so much that the game can't help but blow your mind. But the video does way more for explaining it, so here it is. And this is how it looks on the 360.
Something they get to early is the fact that you can dual weild spells and using both hands leads to a bigger spell. That takes the game up some. You were able to dual weild before, but not like this. And we will also get killing blows this time around. So you can expect to have a more cinematic experience, instead of the same stab over and over you can finish the enemy off with style. We also get to see that instead of a basic stat sheet that they are giving us a star chart to build our skills in, and you create constellations as you do it. You can also look forward to over 150 dungeons in the game, and to make it better they have different dungeon styles this time. There are even visual clues as you play like flowing water that will help you find your way around. Free roaming dragons, that means they can do what they choose, show up any time, and even help you some. You will need to kill them to build your shouts so get ready. About half way through the video you even see him cast a spell on the ground that works as a trap.
The main problem I have with the game is that we don't get it until November 11th.
Are you hype?
