The next XBOX won't be showing up for a while, but that hasn't stopped people from guessing what it might be called.
6. XBOX 362 (or 360-2)
Why it's believed: It's a sequel so it's got a two after it (or added to it)
Why it won't happen: Technically it would be the third XBOX, but 363 would be really confusing. Also, this is a terrible name for a product either way you write it.

Microsoft's Director of Xbox Live Programming Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, has announced via his blog that U.S. Xbox Live subscribers can participate in a service testing program called Xbox Live Labs beginning today.
Here is what Major Neslon had to say in his blog:
As a part of our ongoing commitment to improve Xbox LIVE, we are rolling out an optional testing program called Xbox LIVE Labs. Xbox LIVE Labs performs a number of network tests from your console to Xbox LIVE. These results are recorded solely for the purpose of testing and improving the service. Although we want your support, participating in Xbox LIVE Labs is entirely optional and voluntary. These results are recorded solely for the purpose of testing and improving the service and will not be used to identify you.
If you choose to participate, each completed test rewards you with a cool Avatar item and a zero point achievement as a thank you for your contribution.
There are a total of three Avatar items and three zero point achievements that you can earn for each completed test, including a lab coat, brain helmet, and crazy mad scientist hair!
Xbox LIVE Labs runs from March 10-27 and is open to all Xbox LIVE members living in the United States.
You will not be able to participate in other Xbox LIVE activities, such as gaming, watching movies or downloading music, while running Xbox LIVE Labs, and your Internet connectivity may be slower than usual. Sound good? Sign into Xbox LIVE and head over to the community channel where you’ll see the Xbox LIVE Labs panel. Click on it to download the testing app and the rest is pretty much self-explanatory.
The Xbox LIVE Labs testing application is currently available in the US only. After this round of testing, we’ll evaluate when and how we’ll roll this out to other Xbox LIVE regions.
Thanks for your help
So Jimmys be sure to jump on this for some free crap for your avatar. I plan to leave my box on while I sleep as it turns off automatically after 6 hours of inactivity.

The Microsoft E3 2011 Press conference just wrapped up. How did it go? Here's what you need to know.
Another year, another Microsoft E3 press event. No Cirque du Soleil nonsense this year, just a straight up media briefing with tons of trailers and demos.
Here's a quick run down of what I saw.
- Gears of War 3 campaign looks as good as you'd expect. Plus Ice-T was on stage wearing a kick ass GoW3 shirt.
- Mass Effect 3's Kinect enabled voice commands. Garrus, move up. Liara, use Singularity. Awesomesauce. Probably not enough to make me want a kinect, but cool.
- Kinect easy avatar creation with fun labs (out now!) I've been waiting for this since avatars came out, I have a xbl vision camera gathering dust.
- Starting off with MW3 and Tomb Raider was a bit weird. I don't know why the console makers feel the need to show off multi-platform games at their press conferences.
- Halo: CE Anniversary, an HD remake of the first Halo game. Looks cool, but also looks like it's going to be a full price game. #ripoff
- You're showing off Forza 4 with a Top Gear license... Where's the Stig? (For that matter where were any of the Top Gear crew?)
- Kinect football running in place.
- Two words: FIST BUMP!
- Fable the Journey Kinect game, waving your arms around like a Jimmy. I'd rather not.
An honorable mention must be made to the Halo 4 teaser and Tomb Raider for both being Fall 2012 games, meaning we'll see them at next year's E3 as well. #toosoon

Xbox.com is undergoing a substantial makeover, with a cleaner, fresher look, increased functionality and even a browser based version of the Xbox Live Avatar editor.
Here's a rundown of some of the most significant improvements being implemented:
- Browser-based Avatar editor: Edit your avatar and preview avatar items before purchase
- Combined views for messages, friend and game requests
- Improved notification of your account subscription
- Leverage Family Reports understanding what your family is doing and how they are using Xbox Live
- Play web games with your Xbox Live friends on the web or on Windows Phone 7
- Marketplace: More powerful search and more intuitive ways to browse and filter
Screens of the new dashboard have been released and it looks like it was designed off of the Windows Phone 7.
A new dashboard would have been at the bottom of the list of any updates I would ever want from Micorsoft, but here it is, a brand new dashboard that looks like the WP7.

Just playing a simple game of Halo Reach until everybody in the room started to drop off 1 by 1. Oh wait, it's Kinect everybody. Stop what you are playing and update your system right now.
I understand a lot of people don't like to play Rocket Race and quit out right away, but some of us actually voted for Rocket Race. That's right, I voted for it. The game began to lag real bad, in and out of the selecting new host screen at least 5 times. People dropping off one at a time. Then my buddy disappeared and then I finally got the boot. My buddy who I was racing with, sent me a text right away. "Did you just get logged out of Xbox Live in the middle of that game?" I most certainly did and this is unacceptable I told him. I looked at the clock. It was just after 2 O'clock. My last bit of Jack was gone and I had lost count a long time ago.
When I tried to log back in, I was told I needed to do the update now. I had to exit Halo Reach and do the update before I could log back in. I clicked OK and the system reset and began to install the update. Then the Xbox had the nerve to ask me if I wanted the Kinect dashboard tutorial. No, I want back into the game I was playing before you kicked me offline for the stupid Kinect update. ESPN and $10 more dollars a year. I got it, I'm thrilled.
So that's what happened with the Xbox update and me. It was forced on me in the middle of a match made game. Awesome Microsoft. Way to one up PlayStation with software updates. Anybody else have this problem?

Want to start up directly to the disc again? Me either...
Apparently, you weren't able to boot directly to the disc in your drive since the last update? I have no idea, who does that anyway? I much prefer going to the dashboard on startup. Whatever... the option is coming back. Also, the XBox.com gamer cards are being updated.Read full story...

Microsoft finally releases a new wifi adapter that plays with 802.11n. Also, it's black.
For those who's XBox 360 is connected to the internet via wifi, this is some good news.
First, the existing wifi adapter (which connects to a, b, or g networks) is getting a price cut from $99 to $79. It's still overpriced, but hey, 20 bucks is 20 bucks.
The reason it's getting this price cut is to make room at the $99 price point for the new wireless adapter which will connect to the recently ratified 802.11n networks offering speeds up to 300mbps (as opposed to the 54mbps of the previous model).
The unit has two antennae and still supports the old standards (so you can upgrade one piece at a time), and supports n in either the 2.4 or 5 GHz range. Oh, and it's black to match your elite system. You have an elite system, right?
Gotten used to the Xbox dashboard? Well get ready for some drastic changes.
Starting on Tuesday, December 6, your Xbox is going to start looking a little different on the dashboard. Quite a bit more like a Windows phone than the good old Xbox you're used to. There are some new features coming too...
- New personal and social features including Cloud Storage for Game Saves and LIVE Profile
- Beacons and Facebook Sharing
- Enhanced Family Settings
- Integrated voice and gesture controls across the dashboard and in apps
- Bing voice search (Available this year in the US, UK and CA)
