Yakuza 4 just got way more interesting. This story was originally for a new video from Sega about the Hostess Clubs in the game. It's turned into a monster about these beautiful Japanese girls, who are the stars of Yakuza 4 Hostess Clubs.
I saw this video this morning on YouTube and of course Japanese girls catch my attention in real life and virtually. So I have to check it out. First of all, the Yakuza game series is one I have yet to experience. I don't know why, maybe just never had the right feeling for it. The new version is looking more and more interesting to me. And not just because I can now go hang out in a Authentic -albeit virtual- Japanese Hostess Club. Yakuza 4 is seriously trying to be a Japanese style GTA.
This first video is from the American Sega YouTube channel.

Yoshinori's press conference shows us 3ds gameplay along with the shoulder view
At Yoshinori Ono's conference SSF4 on the 3DS was displayed. The preview has been thrown around for months and now we get to see it in action instead of a commercial. It looks pretty sick, and not too complicated, also the video doesnt give the eye popping effects as we will see in person, so this only gets better upon release. I for one love it, ssf4 on the go (no its not AE version), what do you guys think about it?
The action starts at15:00, everything before that is talking.

I just came across the story and thought some of you might enjoy.
Anime girls + photography = probably not comming to the U.S.
[Editor's Note: Video was removed from YouTube.]
I think this would be huge with the right group, and in Japan it might not look so out of place. We did have that Playboy game that was along the same lines, but anime kind of ends up in a special category.
But it did get me thinking about all of the stuff that doesn't make it here. We miss shows, games, movies, and music. Given how fast people are able to find just about anything what is it that draws all these lines in the sand?
I myself watch subbed anime and movies and have found a lot of great stuff. Then I look at the total crap that is available here everywhere you look. Jersey Shore is a great example, or how about the real Housewives? I don't think I have any need to interfere in other peoples shit, but it really makes no sense to me.
Sorry to go on, but I think we have missed lots of great stuff, look at what happened with the Dragon Quest games and Final Fantasy. Not that Instant Brain is on that level, but it will most likely be one of the countless games that will never hit our shores.
Arc Rail sent over a translation of the Japanese SSF4 developer blog that focuses on Yun
About Yun No. 1
It's been a while. The Developer Blog is resuming now!
To the many location test participants, we extend our utmost thanks.
Having taken into consideration such a large amount of feedback, we will keep on with our round-the-clock development in pursuit of the prime competitive fighting game. From today on we'll be trying to run at maximum output.
I thought I'd come tell you about the elements updated from the home version of SSF4, so first, I'll start with the normal moves breakdown for this new character, Yun!
The goal of the development effort was to make Yun a good fit in the SSF4 Arcade Edition system, while maintaining his image from Street Fighter 3 Third Strike as much as possible.
Using the Raigekishuu (Dive Kick) along with Yun's diverse rushdown moves, play tricks on the enemy with his agile, light movements, while articulating strings with few gaps to steadily pressure the opponent into taking your attacks, until you can build up the Super Combo gauge and activate his Super, Genei-jin, for a combo. Combining these aspects should be the goal for any Yun's battle plan.
Yun's vitality and attack power are on the low side, so in order to increase his chances of getting in contact with a troublesome opponent, the number of Cancelable normal moves has increased since Street Fighter 3 Third Strike.
Due to SSF4's system where it is more difficult to build meter than it was in SF3 Third Strike, and since EX Special Moves tend to be designated as countermeasures against projectiles, Yun's Super Combo, Genei-Jin, was strengthened a little.
For players accustomed to the Yun in SF3 Third Strike, or for players who like to use mobility to create a close-range fight and have a taste for unique combos, I might venture to say that this is a character intended for you.
While Yun's normal move lineup looks similar to their animations in SF3 Third Strike, their uses in SSF4 Arcade Edition have received tuning. Let me bring up some examples...
Close Light Kick and Far Light Kick are Cancelable pokes with quick startup times.
Far Medium Punch is a poke with a relatively good hitbox that leads to a Target Combo, although this time it is possible to Cancel it. If you happen to have meter, you could get into Genei-Jin (Super) from here by means of a special move.
Close Medium Kick can be jump-canceled on hit or block. A clean hit on the opponent should allow a variety of juggles to look forward to.
Crouching Light Kick has a fast startup and can be linked into normal moves, a low-hitting combo starter.
Crouching Medium Kick is well suited for occasional use as a poke due to its range and fairly quick startup.
In the air, Jumping Medium Kick can hit as a jump-in from far away, Jumping Hard Kick is an air-to-air measure, and Jumping Hard Punch is a jump-in combo starter.
Unique Attacks (Command Normals)
Yun has 3 Unique Attacks: Senpuukyaku (Overhead), Dakai (Toward + Hard Punch), and Raigekishuu (Dive Kick).
Although it can be blocked low, the trajectory of the Dive Kick will change depending on the button pressed, so it should see wide usage as a surprise attack from the air.
His Overhead (Toward + Medium Kick) and Toward + Hard Punch gain different properties during Genei-Jin. You can make use of these during your combos and attack strings.
Yun has 5 Target Combos in total. From among these we'll specifically point out the following:
TC3 (Crouching Hard Kick -> Standing Hard Kick).
TC4 (Far or Close Medium Punch -> Hard Punch -> Back + Hard Punch).
TC5 (Close Light Punch -> Light Kick -> Medium Punch).
TC4 especially should see use from a poke or after a jump-in as a quick source of damage.
TC5 can be used to allow time to buffer into Genei-Jin (Super) from normal moves, or be used with a special move for a regular damaging combo, and so on.
The next blog is the special moves chapter, at last! The subject: How did we handle the fury of Genei-Jin that flourished in SF3 Third Strike?!
Look forward to it!
Sega has introduced gaming to the bathroom with urine controlled video game
I guess this gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, "Flushing your life away playing video games." Sega has introduced a game that is played by how hard or how much you piss.
These video games have been released in Tokyo and place an led screen above the urinal. You are able to put a flash drive in the bottom of these that will keep your stats. The 4 mini games that are offered are below:
- Manneken Pis - this calculates exactly how much a player peed.
- Graffiti Eraser - players try to blast graffiti off of a wall Read full story...
So watching this video made me realize how little I cared that they were making this.
The video is up, and I tried to feel enthusiastic, but so far I just don't care. Maybe it was Tekken 6 that let me down, or maybe I'm just getting jaded. It looks like there will be lots of new stuff, and I even see character customization in there, but again I just don't really care. Maybe as the game gets closer I'll get more interested, but I think that with all the other fighters comming out or recently released Tekken Tag Tournament 2 just isn't much of a priority.
Don't be a Jimmy! I want to hear what you liked or hated about the last Tag, or even any of the Tekkens. Has the game gotten stale? Will it stand out?
Daigo...the could have been Pro Mahjong player...
We hear a lot of stories about peoples past, but not as much info as this one. Nuki tells the story about his early years in gaming, how he came across Daigo, his impresions of him , how they met in other games and became rivals (ultimately bros) and Daigos secret obsession with Player Cards. I won't spoil too much so check out the two videos below. They are originally from a nico video, but cccloner999 has been taking parts of them and fully translating it to us in english with captions, also in the description box he has left notes for some things that may not make sense, like Arcade names and such. He has part 1 and part 2 done (ending in great suspense haha) still waiting on the epic part 3. Enjoy guys. And remember to turn the CAPTIONS on ;)

They say it's an "Adventure Project" for BlazBlue
The video is in Japanese so it does't make much sense. And I see no action. But there is a translation posted to their facebook page.
Brand new trailer for X-Blaze, the BlazBlue 'Adventure Project' is here! We've taken the liberty of translating some of the trailer voice and text for you below - although we're struggling with the character names at the moment. Adventure Project Number 1
Original Idea Mori
Scenario from 'SATZ'
New Story from the beginning of the Azure.
What on earth are you?
Stop it I don't want to see anyone hurt.
I'm sorry, but now I know I can't leave it like that.
BLUE GIRL (ES?)
It's an order and I've been asked to protect you.
It's okay, we'll just browse the shops.
I'm happy as long as we can all have fun together.
The answer is 'no'.
Do you even understand what you're saying.
Die like man.
There's no way someone like you could understand what I'm thinking.
What's going on?!
Power of the Azure
Blood Clears everything up right? Still no clue. But it says BlazBlue Adventure so my mind is running wild with scenarios where it is an action game. So I'll be looking forward to finding out what's going on.

First Burgertime reappears to put a sad face on all vintage gamers. Now Square Enix will be releasing a remake of Elevator Action. Yes I am that old. I played the original in an arcade with actual quarters. Don't miss 1:17 Bang! in the video.
