Most epic Rockstar production!

October 26, 2018.

Product not yet rated... But we all know it's going to be M Mofo.  The older I get in life the more excited I am to play new versions of these games I loved when I was younger.  The original Red Dead is only a few years old, but it is very close to my heart.  Definitely one of the best games ever made.  Red Dead 2 looks to be just as amazing.  Although I don't know anything about the shooting mechanics just yet, the graphics and the story look great.  I can't tell if those are the younger voices of some of the characters from the original game or not and I can't wait to find out.  Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Former Gouki.com Game of The Year Winner, Red Dead Redemption finally gets its long overdue Sequel.

Please check out all of the Gouki.com stories from the original Red Dead Redemption.

Vicente DeSanta
Drew MacFarlane
Deputy Eli
Deputy Jonah
Javier Esquella
Nastas
Uncle

Anyone else stoked for this? I rarely play RDR now , but it's still one of my favorites and the DLC sounds great. Personally Nekoti Rock, Cochinay and Pike's Basin sound like a blast for a structured MP game (would usually just be people shooting each other during Gang Hideouts). As far as characters go, it's nice that some of these guys are getting justice. Landon Ricketts and Nastas are favorites for sure. How do you guys feel about the upcoming DLC, is it enough for you? Any other maps you would like to see added?

Also Rockstar recently added some sweet screenshots of the upcoming pack, enjoy.

My Offline Experience with PS3

By: iorilamia May 5, 2011 | 20 Comments

Playstation Network has been offline for about 2 weeks and that simply sucks. See how it has affected my play-styles and view of offline gaming. What have you been doing with your PS3 the last two weeks?

Oh How I should have traded it in for a PRAYstation while I had the chance; joking.  PSN has been down a while as all of you may know, and it sucks. Right before PSN went down, I bought PS cards to download ArcanaHeart 3, MoonDiver dlc pack 1, and Steel Rain Map Pack for Killzone3. What has really bummed me out was the ArcanaHeart part , no rhyme intended. Could have been learning a new game while PSN was offline. Whch leads me too the off-line gaming I've been doing ever since.

Been buying Odin's Beer offline in Marvel Vs.Capcom 3. For the first time, I've been using training mode as a vs. match (taking away health regenerations and treating it like a real match). Most people I know have been busy with finals week, so not being able to get together to play and not have the option to play online is a double whammy. Playing certain CPU teams on highest difficulty over and over again has made me realize a few things. Fist, I am impatient and screw up pretty badly when people have great defense ; do some unsafe stuff. Second, I don't push block physical attacks at the right situation too often and last, CPU's have the stupidest (and by stupid I mean amazingly beastly) hit-confirms ever. But why does this matter? CPUs aren't as good as high level people that i for sure, but it has definitely stepped up by game. Knowing one mistake leads into a ridiculous combo that won't be missed and will most likely be maximized, knowing as soon as I press a button the game reads it and reacts ridiculously fast to what I do has definitely made me improve.

Bulletstorm....hooooooooly sh*t I put you in my PS3 again?! Yea, even though MVC3 has taken up most of my offline time, I played a little Echo Mode. Echo was the "multiplayer" game mode where you play parts of the single player and post your highscore on leaderboards. So basically it is only part of a full level, and no cutscenes ; lame. But I didn't care to go through the story again and this was actually fun. Just nonsense violence and remembering how fun it was when i first got the game, messing around with Skillshots. I just had to take a break from the game after how disappointed it made me, and come back to it realizing how much i enjoyed it ; like a bad spouse. The best part was the ultimate eyegazm of the game. When i first bought it, and played on my supr old half-assed TV, I was blown away by the graphics. Last week I got my first HDMI tv with the HD cables... Breathetaking.

Even though I've been obsessed with MVC3 on/offline, I still love SSF4. But the CPU in ssf4 isn't nearly as annoying in Marvel, or good. This lead to me being incredibly bummed out, because the SSF4 players I know work when I am off work, good stuff. Luckily for me, Arcade Edition recently game to Maui (FINALLY!!!!) It was incredibly fun; not really. Was nice seeing first hand how my characters changed and how the new ones felt, but I am a pad player for ssf4. And the only stick I can kind of play on it is the mvc3 from gouki.com ;)

(Which is constantly used for mvc3, thanks again guys <3)

But the arcade parts we received are complete ass. Instead of a ball-type stick, it's the long joystick type and the buttons are old-crappy re-used ones from the old SF4 machine (or so it seems). In all AE was cool, got to play with a friend who was beasting with E.Ryu but I don't like paying $1 a game on a uncomfortable layout.

I was so bored at one point, I played with one character at a time on Moon Diver, slowly leveling them up (so much faster online). Luckily for me, one night some friends weren't busy, and  we hardcore grinded out some Moon Diving. Been a while since we had the chance and simply was loads of fun. Lots of yelling "OH DUDE" and" shi....NOOOOOO" . Plenty of hype over hack n slash craziness. but even with all the levels we gained, still couldn't beat that stupid Firebird boss....

Last but not least...AMMMMMERRRRRIIIICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Red Dead Redemption was another game whos graphics blew me away on my old crap TV. That being said you already know I had a second eyegazm on my new one. Besides that, I went back to Undead Nightmare and tried to make it a bit more challenging. The first time I played through it it felt way too easy after the first few towns are cleared. So this time I only used the first pistol and a shotgun, and walked into the largest hordes of zombies I can find, seeing how long I can last with carefully aimed shots and barrel rolls. It didn't keep my interest for long but was pretty fun anyway.

For the most part, that concludes my adventures as I get deeper into my finals in school . Also http://blog.us.playstation.com/ said some services will be up this week, seeing that it's Thursday I really hope that PSN will be up before Saturday. I am big on online gaming ever since I got my PS3. I used to play gamecube, and when I got a Wii I rarely went online because of how bad it was. So I used to appreciate off-line gaming then, but when I got a PS3 that changed. I can see how I've been spoiled by always wanting to play other people, and how that is a needed experience for me. PSN being down does suck, but it allowed me to enjoy some simplicities of offline that I've been ignoring. Hope you enjoyed reading about my experiences, have anything similar? Share your downed network experience and leave a comment/ write a story. Don't be a jimmy.

3 Red Dead Redemption DLC's Announced

By: iorilamia Apr 10, 2011 | 5 Comments

Not so new DLC coming to PSN and XBL for a low low price.

Remember the pre-order deals that were voted on for RDR? Golden Gun Pack, Assisin Outfit and War Horse will be available starting Tuesday April 12th for the awesome price of $0.99 / 80 MSP each!

The Deadly Assassin Outfit
John Marston's Deadly Assassin outfit causes your Dead Eye meter to regenerate at twice the speed.  With more Dead Eye, you have more time to place each shot with total accuracy, making you the deadliest gunslinger in any fight.

The Golden Guns Weapon Pack
Available for use in the Red Dead Redemption Single Player story, the player who wields the Golden Guns receives more Fame for each kill.  The more Fame you get, the more in-game side missions become available.  So there will be more opportunities to duel, more kidnapped townsfolk to rescue and you can bribe lawmen for less.

The War Horse

There are countless horses to be found in the massive world of Red Dead Redemption, but none is stronger, faster or tougher than the War Horse. Whether storming gang hideouts, exploring the wilderness for hidden treasure, or outrunning the law, the War Horse gives gunslingers an advantage in nearly every situation.

Any now you see why they are so cheap. This DLC is badass nice for someone who just started the game and wants some low priced bonuses, but for people who have been playing, this is easy to pass up. I'm not purchasing any of these, but some of you are. What do you think of it? Atleast they are still updating Red Dead Redemption. Leave a comment on what you think below.

Side Note: These were part of possible pre-order deals for RDR. Rockstar confirmed they will do the same for L.A Noire. But look how long RDR has been out until they made it DLC >_>

Red Dead Redemption Video Review with me

By: fnjimmy Mar 29, 2011 | 5 Comments

My name is FnJimmy, but you already know that. Finally I got to play Red Dead Redemption. Here is my only review.

For the first time in any historics, I play and review Red Dead for 360. As usual I'm pretty drunk and extremely "tired" at the same time of making this video. Gouki and Ratbastered are asking me questions. The normal review stuff.

ps. I'm still killing you on MvC3. Challenge me if you dare.

Downloadable Content Letdowns

DLC's that where ...bleh

I've been hooked on buying DLC for a couple of years now. But not everything is perfect. The only DLC from several games that have let me down was the second one from Red Dead Redemption. The second DLC; Legends and Killers. I bought it as soon as it was released! This DLC brought us Tomahawks, new characters and new pvp maps. But this DLC has simple reasons as to why it was a dissapointment, but it being $10 was alright.

TOMAHAWKS-

  • They are basically a heavier and further traveling throwing knife. The appealing part is that they where big and rugged looking. Seeing a huge tomahawk sticking out of someones face and back is pretty win. A long with jimmy-ass achievments for this weapon and realizing its a updated/harder to use version of a throwing knife with less amo really looses how special it is after a bit.

CHARACTERS-

  • We got 10 new characters. They where 10 of the main characters/ favorites from Red Dead Revolver. This was awesome for nostalgia, but people who never played the original game loved not only the looks of them, but the awesome one liners they spout out. Buffalo Soldier yellin at fools to man up and stop being pussies while Red Harlow backs him is for the win. Characters where the only part of the DLC i don't regret.

NEW MAPS-

  • Not all of these are "new". Some of the maps where ones we already had in multiplayer but it would be a level that did not have TDM before, or it only had TDM, now in the DLC it has grab the bag. Besides that the DLC brings many of awesome stages that where fun to pvp in. The downside, the major downside is the lack of specifics you get when you want to play a game. You can only select legends and killers FFA or Team games. You have no idea what your going to get. Hey I really want to play these new maps in a team death match, OH, the last 6 games I got where all free for all capture the bag followed by free for all deathmatch. This became very agrivating and got many of people to just go back to their original maps while waiting for the next epic dlc's. Heres a vid from IGN promoting it.

Too bad you can't rent DLC, this rant turned into a type of review. FLUSH IT! aka...dont buy it. (the other DLC are very worth it though)

DLC that seemed like a complete waste that wasn't even considered was KOF12's background music. It was the sexy jazzy music from kof 98 but for $5 for a song or two? How about I just play it on youtube while i play?

I want to know what DLC really let you guys down or just pissed you off. Or any that where just not appealing at all/pointless? Leave a comment below about your experiences.yes (Maybe it will give us some insight before we purchase some)

Red Dead Redemption Movie

By: iorilamia Dec 9, 2010 | 6 Comments

John Hillcoat created a short RDR movie using cutscenes

About 5-6 months ago John Hillcoat created a RDR movie by using cutscenes and some gameplay, it runs smoothly through the first part of the game. Apparently it appared on Fox as a special, but I had no idea this ever happened. Red Dead series fans enjoy, and maybe non-fans.

Side note: There was some talk a while back for a live action Red Dead Redemption movie starring Brad Pitt as John Martson, not sure if it has been halted or just dropped)

Wednesday PWNFEST June 30, 2010

By: goukijones Jun 30, 2010 | 4 Comments

So it's been a few weeks since I've just gone crazy playing video games. I've already beaten one game today ...

I'm going to finish Red Dead Redemption today and then later I want to play some of that multiplayer. So if you got RDR and want to play some of those new co-op multiplayer missions hit me up and lets set it for after 5pm pst. Don't be a Jimmy, leave a comment on this story.

Singularity ... "I have beaten the game." Stay tuned for my review. If you want to play the multiplayer again hit me up here. I'll play a few rounds with you. It's terrible though.

I've already seen BatRastered pwnn Naughty Bear. Allegedly the man is on top of the leaderboards. Must be only 7 people playing the game. I gotta give it a try.

Set your VCR's to record history tonight Jimmy! First ever short film made from a video game to be on national tv.

This should be awesome. Tonight May 29, 2010 at Midnight Eastern & Pacific on FOX. Everything about the game already feels like a movie. The acting and character mannerisms are great in the game, you can get a real sense for what a character is thinking by just seeing them on screen. The scenery in the game alone could just be a nature video. Set your Tivo Jimmy ... trust me. You'll watch.

John Marston bangs out a mine cart

By: goukijones May 27, 2010 | 5 Comments

Something about this is funny to me.

I love Red Dead Redemption. This is only the first in many things I want to show you about RDR.

One mission you have to push a mine cart out of the mine. I tried to pull the mine cart backwards first. I came to a small hill in the mine and this happened ... watch the video.

Whether it's from Amazon or Newegg you can save a nice chunk off the top of the retail price Jimmy!

So here's the deal Jimmy. If you buy Red Dead Redemption from Amazon. $10 bucks off and free shipping and a $5 mp3 credit. I know that if you didn't buy this game on day one, then you can chill out and use the free shipping. Stolen!

On Newegg you can get both Red Dead Redemption and Split/Second for $49.99.

Or save $13 $3 bucks on Split/Second $56.99 and a $10 credit at Amazon.
