"Project Triangle Strategy" I Played The Demo

By: goukijones Jun 7, 2021 | 1 Comments

Short and sweet with a lot of chit chat.

I played the demo. I didn’t want to, but I did. After I watched the trailer some many months ago, I already knew I wanted to play this game. It’s been 23 years since Final Fantasy Tactics came out on Playstation. Since then there have been a few more released on Gameboy Advance - you know handhelds are not something you continue to play as you get older and you can't see shit good anymore. Believe me, I have searched high and low for something to compete with my nostalgic feelings I have for FFT and I have not found it. But this, this Project Triangle Strategy, this game has my hopes up.

I won the game back in June from here and have played enough for my review.

I've got to start by saying thanks again to Gouki.com for making me Jimmy of the Month back in June and hooking me up with another great game.  This time around was even better.  Not only did I get the copy of Final Fantasy Tactics  A2 Grimoire of the Rift for this review, but I also have a copy of Dead or Alive 5 coming.

The game is officially out in the iTunes App Store. Here's the official launch trailer.

I really want to play this, but it's pretty expensive for an iPhone game. Anyone got $16 to lend me?

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS: The War of the Lions (for iPhone) Launch Trailer

No release date yet, but expect approval in a week or two...

According to a Facebook post by Square Enix, we should be expecting FFT: The War of the Lions on our iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch screens any day now.

We've finally submitted the iPhone version of FINAL FANTASY TACTICS: The War of the Lions! And we'd like to tell you the release date as soon as we get the green light.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions is a port from the PSP version of the famous Playstation game. The PSP version featured an updated translation and improved graphics.

Apple usually takes a week or so to approve games on the app store, so get your wallets ready next week. We'll let you know when the game is given the green light and a price sticker!

It won't make spring 2011, now that that's over, Square claims end of July.

There's an interesting Facebook post by Shiina, the associate producer for the iPhone version of FFT. In it, he apologizes for not making the companies promised Spring release date. To make it up to us, he answers a few questions about the game and swears it will be released before July is over.

Quote:

Is the slow-down problem solved?
-Yes! It's definitely fatser, comfortable to play.
We'll show it in the trailer or a movie clip.

Is it a universal app?
-No. We'll release iPhone ver and iPad ver both.

When will you release the iPad version?
-Now we plan to release it 1 month later than iPhone version.

Supported 3GS?
-Yes! Absolutely!

3G also supported?
-No. We tried to support 3G but it was toooo slow to play the game.

Does it have the Multiplayer mode?
-Nope. We had to cut it off for iOS devices.

Add-ons?
-No. We don't plan to release add-ons now.

Did you add the autosave function?
-Yes! Exactly!
If you get a phone call, the game will be automatically saved
and you can get back to the game immediately.
Honestly...it took much time to add this function. It made the dev team exhausted.

I'm still excited for this... I'd love to have FFT in my pocket whenever I need it. I hope it doesn't cost too much!
